Hi it been 2 weeks, the early access is officially released, a lot of people i know test the game. I prepare a big update who fixing and add somes changes.

Before explainining i i make a new video where i show the evolution of my game since 2021


For future update, i see a lot of bugs like sliding in somes walls, music who stop, somes physics bugs so i will try to fix them. I m planned to fixed balancing of game, i think level 1 is too hard for beginners, i will arrange that. I need to arrange somes boss patterns, i try to add more animated ennemies and make script for make breathing, ennemies who are just an image sprite. I will start to work on 3 difficulty mod, there will not affect patterns and ennemies, it will affect player :

- normal mod : default mode, player has 6 lives and no bonus, demeter tree for save and load are still accessible
- assist mod : a mod for beginner players, in this mod player has 15 lives and your projectiles scale and damage limits are increased, projectiles will stay longer
- god mod : the players has choice of 2 options : 1 lives or no demeter tree for save and load, the player can also activate the two option at the same time

this mod are not really necessarly, it just for add challenge and inclusion, adapt to all type of players

Before this, there was no point in cleaning the coal, since 1 piece of uncleaned coal burns for 30 seconds, and cleaned one for 36 seconds, but you spent 2 pieces of uncleaned coal to get 1 piece of cleaned coal.
Now everything is fine, with a cleaned coal you get 12 seconds more burn time than from two uncleaned ones.

Activity one or three times! Infinite War

1. From October 10, 2023 to October 16, 2023, the limited time event "Triple! Infinite War" will be launched after maintenance.

2. [Triple! Infinite War] is an infinite war activity, during which players who engage in infinite war challenges can receive triple basic chip rewards.

Activity 2: Halloween Activities

This update introduces wildfires on herbivore feeding fields, expands spawning of ambient AI, and brings a slew of bugfixes, and significant performance improvements.

A few PSAs:
* We've migrated to Unreal 5.3 with this release, shoot us a message in case something unexpected breaks. Feedback welcome.
* Graphics presets have been updated, so we recommend you re-apply the appropriate preset for your hardware.
* Important note: we had a case of AMD Instant Reply causes performance issues. We recommend to have it off while playing the game if you're having trouble.

Features:
* Added the first iteration of dynamic spawning of ambient AI to complement the static spawning spots, for now lizards and fireflies.
* Overhauled performance of foliage fields to allow a larger variety of foliage.
* Wildfires! The first implementation of this natural disaster is now available, and will trigger randomly within herbivore foliage fields during warm weather. It can spread, but not beyond the foliage fields for the moment. More fire starting scenarios and expanding beyond the fields are planned as features.

Tweaks:
* Aim mode can now also look and move up/down to improve the usability while swimming and chasing fish.
* Adjusted Sarcosuchus' animation limits for looking around.
* Reduced sliding when letting go of input.
* Tweaked surface alignment interpolation speed to reduce floating on inclines.
* Polished Sarcosuchus water enter/exit transition, but still requires further work.
* Added bite collision trace during tail attack Sarcosuchus.
* Tweaked spawn preview to make character not rotate & snap.

Bugfixes:
* Improved reliability of herbivore eating, fixes a case where the removal of the plants didn't trigger correctly.
* Fixed Sarcosuchus drink and eat anims not looping.
* Fixed Sarcosuchus bask action being in the wrong place on radial menu.
* Fixed Salt Marsh spawn turning screen black.
* Fixed flickering biome preview for prairie.
* Prevented Sarcosuchus basking underwater.
* Corrected "hints" typo in controls options as well as the settings change confirmation wording.
* Temperature icons are now correctly always shown on the UI if the "Hide needs when satiated" option is false in the options.
* Fixed options requesting confirmation without having changed anything.
* AI name tag now disappears correctly when removed (swallowed/despawned).
* Tweaked bodypile that was sometimes causing temperature drop.
* Fixed various foliage fields not respecting the min-1-blooming-field-per-biome rule.
* Fixed a stretching issue that would happen occasionally while interacting with jungle grass.
* Fixed various water particles rendering pitch black at great view distances.
* Fixed Dilo not being able to emote while sitting.
* Fixed animation loop on sliding end for Allosaurus.

Performance:
* Optimised landscape rendering.
* Various rendering optimisations.
* Client game thread optimisations.
* Further modest VRAM savings.
* Optimised Ambient AI server performance.

Map:
* Increased fish in swamp.
* Fixed various locations where water was stretching and showing underwater postprocess above water. This is a workaround and a proper solution is still being looked at, reports of other locations where this happens are useful.
* Smoothed out the banks in the alpine lake to make it easier to climb out.
* Fixed water collision hitbox at swamp -> ocean waterfall.

🐛 Resolved Bugs
  • Cafeteria scene in the intro should no longer be blurred/obscured when returning after dying or reloading the game.
  • The item in the safe in the kitchen will no longer render behind the safe when opened.
  • The entrance to the school area in the intro will no longer despawn if you die to Overwhelming Anxiety.
  • Increased Tristan's worker sprite by 1 pixel on the Y axis so that he no longer clips into the floor.

💪 Improvements
  • All UI properly scales and works on Steam Deck. ːsteamthumbsupː
  • Checkpoints in the intro are now properly shown to the player through "damaged portals" placed in the prologue.
  • Player can now use multiple items at once in the inventory without it closing each time.
  • If the player is not carrying any items, there is now text for empty inventory.
  • Using the flashlight from the inventory will toggle it in-game to avoid confusion.
  • Save notification now says "PROGRESS SAVED."
  • Added a brief interactable cinematic near the end of the chase that happens in the intro.
  • Hallway that you are chased through in the intro has more decorations now.
  • Visuals in second half of Act 1 were improved significantly.
  • Added a prompt that indicates when a character is finished talking.
  • Player can now attack in "cinematic" areas. (Not sure why we restricted attacking in these areas anyway, it was causing some confusion among play testers and you can't really break anything in these areas anyway...)
  • Flashback scene that occurs after the first real boss no longer lets you walk to the right
  • Graduate fireball was rebalanced. SFX was changed when they hit the ground, added VFX for spawning and de-spawning as well as a warning line to indicate trajectory.
  • Textbox shading was improved

📜 Text Changes
  • Unlock condition for Ultimate Nightmare was changed from "complete on normal" to "Complete demo on "The Nightmare" mode".
  • Ghost 1 in the intro now has 3 question marks to be consistent with Ghost 2.
  • Interact tutorial text has been changed to be less confusing.
  • You can interact with the door at the end of the first hallway in the prologue now.
  • Fixed some typos on the descriptions in the settings menu. Added a note about screen tearing when not using VSync in full screen.
  • Very minor changes to dialogue throughout the demo area (make some wording less confusing)
  • Taser short circuiting is now mentioned in the taser tutorial so people aren't as confused by it.

⚖️ Balance Adjustments
  • Graduate boss fight has been extensively rebalanced across all modes. (Mostly easier.)
  • The Graduate's tornado attack has been temporarily removed.
  • The Nightmare has been made easier. (Taken damage is reduced by 20% across the board. Certain enemies are slower.)
  • Face Your Fears, Graduate's attacks are now slower.
  • Ultimate Nightmare boss fights made significantly harder. (New attacks, much higher speed...)
