We've been toying with calling Moonstone Island fans "Moonstoners" just because it's very funny to me, personally. Until someone comes up with something better, though, it's Moonstoners. Let's get into what we've been up to, two weeks out from launch!
We've always wanted to have an accolades trailer. These are videos made specifically to show off all the nice things people say about you – well, your game – and it's so exciting to have enough nice things to be able to turn it into its own trailer. All it needs now is one of those Hollywood-style deep manly voiceovers saying things like PLAY THE GAME CRITICS ARE CALLING "A GOOD GAME". But I guess that's not really the ~vibe~ of Moonstone Island. We'll probably keep it as it is.
Another exciting thing is that we're MAKING A PLUSH FISHBO. We've been calling him "Squishbo". This kind of creativity is why they pay us the big bucks.
Squishbo is being made by Makeship, a plush company that works kinda like Kickstarter, which is to say that he won't get made for realsies unless we hit a goal. As of writing, he's 80% funded with 14 days to go, - if you wanna slap your credit card down to get a Squishbo of your own, then here's the link: https://www.makeship.com/products/fishbo-plush
We've been hard at work fixing bugs, glitches, and issues and implementing suggestions from the community, which is going pretty well!
Here are the highlights:
We realized that the description on the gems (which told you they were just for selling) wasn't technically true – they were used to craft Mailbox and Crystal. So, we changed the recipes, and now it IS true. Gems are just for selling!
There was a really frequent soft lock that popped up if you used a card that drew from a discard pile, but the pile was empty. We fixed it! YAY
People were amassing so much Energy in battle that it broke the display, so we had to cap it at 99 (which is still a LOT)
We made it easier to target placeable objects with both mouse AND controller
We taught Ossono and Tobin to count
We taught Rowan the meaning of capitalism
But there's more work to do. You can catch up on all our patch notes so far on our other Steam posts, but for now, back into the bug mines we go!
If you find anything you need to report, you can do that here!
First off, a pair of fan art pieces from Reiyh Feh, who is a HUGE fan of our boy Tobin:
And secondly – you know we love Fishbo fan art, so here's a gorgeously-styled '90s fan art piece of Fishbo, Longlog, and Capacibee from MiguiMonkey:
That's all we have for you today, but... oh? What's this? A little piece of paper has just landed on our desk... and it says "More DLC coming soon". Seriously?! Do these guys ever take a break? No. No, we do not.
We wanted to give you a quick update on some of the things we’ve been working on for Nova Roma.
3D Terrain
One of the biggest requests from our previous game Kingdoms and Castles was for terrain with hills and mountains. For Nova Roma, Sam and I have been reworking the map generation algorithms and terrain engine from the ground up (heh heh). We can now fully support 3D terrain (which you may have seen from the trailer). We’re working hard to get interesting cliffs, beaches, and mountain features. None of this is final and there’s still improvements to be made, but here’s a preview of the direction we’re going with the maps:
Water SImulation
The 3D terrain isn’t just for aesthetics and show, it’ll factor directly into the gameplay as well. Michael’s been working on writing a fluid simulation that interacts physically with the 3D terrain. Water starts near mountains and flows through forests and hills down to the ocean.
Because the system is fully dynamic it’s possible for you as the player to affect the flow of the water. Here’s an example of cutting a new channel for a river with our terrain editing tools. Changing the terrain dynamically affects how the water pools up and moves across the land.
We’ll be tying this directly into the gameplay mechanics. You’ll be able to command your citizens to undertake huge projects to change the terrain to alter the course of rivers, build reservoirs and dams, and supply water to your city with aqueducts. We’ll have more to show on that soon. There’s still plenty of polish to do, but we’re very excited about the new possibilities of the 3D terrain and fluid system!

The Crime Story Bundle is a unique collection of three irresistible games: Midnight Fight Express, Serial Cleaners, and Gamedec. Though distinct in its storyline and gameplay, each game shares a common thread of crime, intrigue, and an immersive gaming experience.
Midnight Fight Express, an isometric action beat'em up game, plunges you into the heart of the criminal underworld. As a former member of this clandestine world, a mysterious drone lures you back in. You have until sunrise to prevent a citywide takeover. The game offers an adrenaline-pumping experience with fast-paced action and intense fight sequences.
On the other hand, Serial Cleaners offers an unusual perspective on the world of crime. This top-down stealth-action game transports you to 1990s New York, where you clean up murder scenes. The game alternates between four cleaners, each with a unique style, allowing you to live their stories. The stealth and simulation aspects of the game make it a thrilling and engaging experience.
Gamedec rounds off the bundle with a single-player cyberpunk isometric RPG. As a game detective, you solve crimes inside virtual worlds. Your wits are your primary weapon as you gather information from witnesses and suspects, unraveling schemes. The game continually adapts to your decisions, offering a non-judgmental narrative that's as intriguing as it is immersive.
Despite their different settings and gameplay mechanics, all three games in the Crime Story Bundle share a common isometric view, providing a unique and consistent visual experience. They also offer a deep dive into the world of crime from different perspectives - be it a fighter, a cleaner, or a detective. The Crime Story Bundle is a must-have for fans of crime and mystery games, with each game bringing its own unique flavor to the table!
It's a great opportunity that won't last long! Don't miss out on the bundle. It's only available until October 12!

But that's not all! If you've been thinking about starting your Gunsmith Simulator adventure, now is the perfect time. We've prepared a treat for you - a 20% discount on the game purchase. It's an opportunity worth seizing!

Fall is finally here! What are your plans? Are you going to sit in a chair with a cup of tea and a book? Or would you prefer to go hiking? Or maybe you’d like to play WW2 Rebuilder? Well, you’re lucky because today marks the beginning of our October Sale!

The day of parting with you, our favorite players and fans of the Warhammer series, is getting closer and closer. Thank you for being with us all these ten years, supporting and inspiring the Space Wolf team.
Unfortunately, as of October 12, we will stop supporting the project, the game will be removed from all stores and will be unavailable for purchase. Don't worry if you have already bought it, it will remain in your library.
From October 5 to October 11 we have set a final discount of 90% on the base game and all DLCs will also receive maximal discounts (some of them a couple of days later). This is your last chance to join a squad of space warriors and fight back against the forces of Chaos.
You can also buy Warhammer: Space Wolf and our other games on Humble Bundle.
Thanks again for helping us create a cool project and a great community of players.
Last Wednesday we premiered a short dev overview on the Media Indie Exchange stream! If you wanna learn more fun stuff about the game - you can have a watch!
Additionally, this Friday, the 6th of October, we'll be at the Poznan Game Arena in Poland!
We'll have a demo stand set up at Hall 7 and Booth 13!
As you may already know - The Gap is coming out on October 19. That's 2 weeks from now! This means we're hard at work at preparing for launch - but plenty more cool things are to come! For any news, updates and questions, our Twitter is the place to go!
I know I know, it feels mean to limit this to anyone able to get to London but we’re so excited to have you play Trash Goblin so soon!
EGX is an amazing games event running from the 12th to the 15th of October (that’s right, it starts next Thursday!) and we’re going to be on the show floor with the very latest demo build of Trash Goblin for anyone to come and tinker with!
^us trying to impress you at EGX
Fair warning; we’re going to be taking so many notes and asking everyone who plays what they like and don’t like so be sure to get real with us! We’ve been planning this demo for a while and the team is hard at work making awesome stuff for it - and we’re focusing on making sure the chipping of Cruft and the sponge-based Cleaning gameplay is all super satisfying and scrunchy and that time just evaporates when you’re playing.
Just yesterday we had a team play and all wrote down everything we wanted to tweak or change - we call it snag list - and are already hard at work on making it as close to perfect as we can!
^Here’s a little peek at something in the demo that isn’t in the trailer. When you run out of time in the day, trying to do more work shakes the clock - because Goblins don't do crunch!
We continue to be blown away by the response on socials and across the whole internet about Trash Goblin! If you know someone who’s likely to just go nuts for this cosy little game we’re making, please do let them know about it!
Like last time we’re pushing {LINK REMOVED}the Kickstarter hard - trying to get those numbers up! - and every time anyone shares the links we get a new surge of people so please do whatever you can to help us spread the word!
And as ever, here’s how to get involved with us on various other channels: Tiktok Discord Twitter using #TrashGoblinGame Mailing list
