I know a few people have been anticipating the new update but I have some unfortunate news to share, that to some, might come as a bit of a surprise.
After nearly 2 years of hard work, time invested and money spent on the 2.0 update, I sadly have to announce that it and further work on Revita will come to a halt.
After long discussions with our publisher, Dear Villagers, we reluctantly have come to the realisation that continuing work on Revita and its 2.0 update would be too costly, from both sides, to be worth pursuing further. The costs of porting, QA and localization alone would vastly outweigh any revenue gained from this update, even if we charged for it.
This decision was of course very difficult to make. The team and I have poured a lot of time, effort and personally quite a bit of money into it too, which we hope is visible from what we have shown so far, so trust me when I say this is the last thing I wanted to happen.
It's an upsetting turn of events and ruefully one that is completely out of my hands. However, I'll be holding onto the update files and assets very closely, and who knows, hopefully the opportunity will show itself in the future and we will be able to release it in some form, just not any time soon. But trust me, if there is any way to make it happen, I'll try my darndest!
Thank you all for your support over the last few years. Revita and it's community truly mean the world to me and again I am devastated and upset that we couldn't deliver what everyone was eagerly waiting for.
But there is at least some promising news, in light of this decision, roughly two months ago we began to work on a new project and it looks to be very exciting, especially if you already liked what we did in Revita. No specifics to share as of now, but we'll make sure to let you know once we do.
Thank you for your understanding and as always, if there are any questions, I'll be here and on the discord to respond to them.
With the release of Arms Against Tyranny, there will be plenty of saved games and mods that will be broken as we move into the Stella Polaris patch, so if you haven't already make sure to finish up those games or backdate your versions!
However, we have been hard at work with the Modding community to make sure some of your favourite mods are up to date alongside the release of AAT! So here is your comprehensive list of mods that will be updated on the same day as the new patch;
-Fixed a critical bug with the electrical panel, which caused the game to freeze without the ability to continue. There was a bug where interacting with an ax would break the electrical panel quest. The ax deleted the interaction sprite.
-Fixed a bug in interaction with characters and the box. There was a bug where the player could not start a conversation when simultaneously kicking a box and trying to talk to a character. This oversight could only be corrected by interacting with the door.
The new Flame Tank has arrived on the battlefield! A formidable opponent, it excels at storming fortifications and wiping out unarmored opponents. With the Flame Tank we are also introducing a new way to deploy units on the battlefield. Starting today you’ll be able to collect Unit Cards by completing Operations. Unit Cards allow you to deploy units directly from your Inventory. Both the Flame Tank and other Unit Cards can be deployed in already existing game rounds. Please note that due to a bug the Flame Tank-related stats will not be displayed on the player profile with this release.
To make collecting the new Unit Cards as enjoyable as possible we’ve added a brand new set of Operations. These new missions can be completed simply by playing the game. The game will automatically keep track of your progress. To see the goals or collect rewards head to the Operations window.
And if you want to learn more about the Flame Tank, Unit Cards and the new Operations make sure to tune in to our livestream on October 7th, starting at 3:00 pm UTC. We’ll be playing a flaming hot 144x speedround, broadcasted LIVE on the official Bytro Youtube and Twitch channels. See you there!
For a complete overview of this update, please check out the detailed Release Notes and share your feedback with us on the Forums and our Discord Server.
Thanks to everyone who has already played or is about to play. Don't forget that you can report any bugs in the game in the corresponding topic in the game community hub, there you can also create topics to find out your questions. Maybe it will be more convenient for some people to do use discord - that's why I made game community server for you with compact link in the main menu. I will try to answer your questions and fix any bugs as soon as possible. Enjoy the game and the adventure!
