City Game Studio: Your Game Dev Adventure Begins - Binogure
Hello, amazing City Game Studio community!
I'm thrilled to bring you the latest and greatest update for our beloved game - v1.15.3. This one is packed with goodies to make your game development journey even more enjoyable.
Revamped User Interface
We've given the UI a bit of a facelift. Creating games and remasters is now even more intuitive with reworked icons that guide you seamlessly through the process. Plus, we've spruced up the studio employee icons and tooltips for better clarity. And here's a nifty one - a long click now lets you cancel a game directly from the game creation panel. It's all about streamlining your experience!
Bidding Farewell to Bugs
Nobody likes pesky bugs, right? Well, we don't either. That's why we've squashed a couple in this update. Old save games should now work like a charm, and the game publishing release panel is now smoother than ever.
Your Valuable Feedback
As always, your feedback is instrumental in shaping City Game Studio. We've carefully listened to your suggestions, ideas, and bug reports to make this update possible. It's a testament to the strength of our community, and I can't thank you enough for your ongoing support.
Dive into the Action!
So, what are you waiting for? Dive into City Game Studio with our latest update and take your game development empire to new heights. I'm incredibly proud of this game, and I'm dedicated to making it the best it can be.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Your passion for game development fuels my own, and I can't wait to see the amazing studios you build.
Essence chests are balanced to spawn more often on higher difficulties where the player has more available essence slots. Despite that, the essence chest spawn chance on low difficulties was quite low.
Small fix: slightly boosted the chance to spawn essence chests on lower difficulties
A relic of extraordinary power and mystery, the Murmurstone, was brought to the bayou on the back of Rotjaw during the events of Tide of Shadows. Now, the presence of the stone has stoked the mania of the newly forged Demented Pact and their founding leader, Butcher’s Cleaver. Whispers from the Murmurstone have answered his prayers, and through him the Dark Inferno is released. As flames ravage the bayou, all Hunters must push forward to find new secrets, uncover new powers, and forge new alliances.
Hunters, our latest Live Event begins today, October 4th, and runs through November 29th. New rewards and story chapters for the event are just the start. As the Tide of Corruption spreads, you’ll need to choose your side and pledge each of your Hunters to a Pact, which will offer you different benefits as you set about racking up those Event Points. The featured Wildcard Condition, Dark Inferno, brings the map-changing fire back to the bayou.
~ The Hunt Team
Dark Inferno
The air blackens and reeks of hellfire. Demented Hunters have unleashed a Dark Inferno that mars the sky with the ash of Hunters' souls. Fight among the flames and survive. Use the blaze and darkened night for cover and entrapment.
New Wildcard Condition - Dark Inferno
With this update, we're bringing the Inferno back! This time, the flames will be featured in a nighttime setting. There will be certain areas on all maps that are on fire, and you will need to strategize your gameplay based on that.
Note: The visibility in the fire-laden areas has been improved over the previous Inferno iteration.
Gameplay Features
Hunter effects
Hunters receive fire damage when they get too close to the fire.
However, Hunters pledged to the Infernal Pact can acquire the Blazeborne Trait, allowing them to avoid catching fire. They will also be able to heal themselves in the flames!
World
Parts of all maps will be on fire, as seen during the original Inferno Wildcard Condition.
Immolators are immune to the fire.
Some Consumables, like explosives, will ignite faster when thrown into the fire.
While the audio is quieter than the original Inferno, it will still affect the footsteps of other Hunters looking to take you out.
Pacts
Familiar to those who participated in the previous Live Events, each Hunter has the choice to pledge themselves to one of three Pacts:
The Demented Pact
The Death Pact
The Infernal Pact
Each Pact comes with their own set of unique Traits which offer new ways to play Hunt: Showdown. These Pacts unlock special powers and can be strengthened by acquiring Pledge Marks through in-game activities.
Demented Pact
The Demented Pact vow to honor what they believe to be the will of the Sculptor by ascending to become the truest avatars of its powers—the current Boss Targets are impure manifestations, and once they are purged, the Demented will be worthy of taking their rightful place. They embrace the Sculptor’s Corruption.
Demented Pact Hunters:
Butcher’s Cleaver
Cain
Ochenkov’s Widow
The Beast Hunter
The Scarecrow
Death Pact
The Death Pact vow to find out why death has fallen into disarray—there are rumors of things that have come back from the Land of the Dead. They believe that finding the truth about death will lead them to victory over the Corruption.
Death Pact Hunters:
Sofia
Mama Maye
The Reaper
The Bone Mason
Wormbite
Infernal Pact
The Infernal Pact vow to fight fire with fire. Where others see chaos, they see opportunity. They will take power wherever they can get it but see no benefit in serving a higher power. Their hearts are corrupted, but it is a mortal corruption.
Infernal Pact Hunters:
Burnt Marshall
Hawkshaw Jack
Llorona’s Heir
Private Eye
The Black Coat
Pledge Marks
A maximum of 3 Pledge Marks (PMs) can be gained per Mission; each Hunter can only hold 4 PMs maximum. They are tied to each Hunter and are brought out when extracting. They are not physically carried by Hunters and therefore cannot be directly taken from others. The current amount of PMs gained can be viewed in Mission and in Roster.
Sources of Pledge Marks
Each time a Pledge Mark is gained, it is rewarded across the whole team. Each of the 3 sources can only be gained once per Mission:
Reaching the Event Point (EP) Threshold – Gaining 30 EPs for the first time will reward 1 Pledge Mark.
Looting your first Hunter: Only the first Hunter looted in a Mission will give 1 Pledge Mark—all loots after this will only give EPs.
Banishing your first Boss Target or Wild Target: Only the first Banish will give 1 Pledge Mark—banishing the second Target will only give EPs.
Event Points
Interacting with an Event Clue or Rift – 10 EPs
Banishing a Boss Target or Wild Target – 12 EPs
Extracting a Bounty Token – 30 EPs
Interacting with a Defiled Altar – 6 EPs
Destroying a Defiled Altar – 3 EPs
Looting an enemy Hunter – 12 EPs
Becoming the Soul Survivor – 30 EPs
Challenges – EPs vary
Dark Tribute – 150 EPs (1st milestone, daily)
Defiled Altars
Defiled Altars are the event objects spawned in the world for Tide of Corruption. Like previous events, these objects can reward Hunters with Event Points. Active interaction with a Defiled Altar will give the most Event Points and is also the quietest method. However, they can also be destroyed, in exchange for less points. This results in an explosion which, after a short fuse time, deals moderate damage to nearby Hunters, causing bleeding.
Interaction – 6 EPs, and the Defiled Altar is used up.
Destruction – 3 EPs, and the Altar explodes, damaging anything in the vicinity.
Altars glow red and produce a sound in the same manner as a Clue when enemy Hunters or Beetles are nearby. The detection range is the same as a Clue.
Pact Traits
Tide of Corruption features special Traits that can be gained at Supply Points during Missions. You must first pledge your Hunter to a Pact using the Pledge Boxes at Supply Points, after which Event Trait Spurs will appear nearby. Your Hunter must use owned Pledge Marks in exchange for an Event Trait. This transaction is done by interacting with the individual Trait Spur—once the interaction is complete, the indicated Pledge Marks will be deducted.
The visibility of these Trait Spurs is individual. A Hunter can only see the Trait Spurs relevant to their current Pact, meaning what you see at Supply Points may differ from what your Teammate(s) sees.
Burn Traits
In our last event, we introduced a new category of Traits called Burn Traits. This category is now receiving some additional rules. Burn Traits are still single use, meaning that once their effect has been triggered, they are removed from your Hunter. However, Burn Traits can now be stacked up to 3 times per Hunter.
Hunters can return to the Supply Points at any time to get additional Event Burn Traits if they have the Pledge Marks to pay for them.
Demented Pact
Acolyte (1 PM) – Acquire a random Trait and some Hunt Dollars when you or your team picks up a Clue.
Remedy (2 PMs) – Using Dark Sight, interact with a Trait to trigger a Restoration effect similar to banishing for your team's Hunters. (25m) (Burn Trait)
Ghoul (Conditional effect) – Damaging Boss Targets or Wild Targets restores a small amount of health. (Hunter must be Pledged to Demented Pact)
Death Pact
Witness (1 PM) – While in Dark Sight, dead Hunters and monsters are visible and health restoration is marginally increased when close. Also highlighted in Beetle view. (75m)
Relentless (2 PMs) – Your Hunter won't lose a Health Chunk when downed. (Burn Trait)
Vulture (Conditional effect) – Looting a dead Hunter will restore one Health Chunk in exchange for 1 Pledge Mark. (Hunter must be Pledged to Death Pact)
Infernal Pact
Blazeborne (1 PM) – Health restoration is greatly increased while in flames and you can't catch on fire.
Rampage (2 PMs) – Killing an enemy Hunter while at least one Health Chunk is empty triggers a Restoration for your Hunter. (Burn Trait)
Bloodless (Conditional effect) – Bleeding stops automatically because your wounds are cauterized, 1s after bleeding starts. (Hunter must be Pledged to Infernal Pact)
Event Traits are only available during the event; once the event is finished, they will be removed.
New Equipment
New Weapon: Baseball Bat
The Baseball Bat swings intuitively and easily, delivering a solid blow. This new melee weapon takes only a small slot, making it a versatile weapon for both PvE and PvP. The Baseball Bat deals less damage than the Railroad Hammer, but more than Dusters.
New Weapon Variant: Springfield 1866 Bayonet
The original breech-loading Springfield 1866 with a bayonet attachment. Like other bayonet variants, the sway is increased.
Basic - Medium Ammo – 1/24
Dumdum - Medium Ammo – 1/12
Explosive - Medium Ammo – 1/12
Poison - Medium Ammo – 1/12
High Velocity - Medium Ammo – 1/12
New Weapon Variant: Berthier Mle 1892 Marksman
The Berthier Mle 1892 is a bolt-action rifle, now with an added Marksman scope for an advantage at distance.
Basic - Long Ammo – 3/12
Spitzer - Long Ammo – 3/6
Incendiary - Long Ammo – 3/6
New Tool - Derringer Pennyshot
The Derringer Pennyshot has high damage with a small radius, similar to its larger Shotgun Pennyshot cousins. Hunters will also notice a longer reload time and increased sway.
New Weapon Variant: Vetterli 71 Karabiner Cyclone
The Cyclone boasts a high rate of fire due to the addition of a self-loading mechanism converting it to a semi-automatic rifle. This mechanism comes at the cost of a reduced magazine capacity and a shorter barrel. The self-loading mechanism also delivers quite the recoil impulse when it cycles the bolt. Due to the shortened barrel the Cyclone has a distinctive discharge sound.
Basic - Medium Ammo - 3+1/20
FMJ - Medium Ammo - 3+1/20
High Velocity - Medium Ammo - 3+1/20
Incendiary - Medium Ammo - 3+1/20
New Consumable: Fire Beetle
All types of Beetles are bred to find and track prey, giving Hunters a view from above. The Fire Beetle variant has evolved to explode in a ball of flames, damaging nearby Hunters and igniting flammable objects in its radius. It is weak to choke clouds, forcing the controlling Hunter out of its view immediately after contact and destroying the beetle. It is also a bit slower than its Choke and Stalker cousins. Overall, the Fire Beetle is a powerful tool with the potential to cause destruction.
New Weapon Variant: Caldwell Conversion Uppercut Precision
The Uppercut Precision is an Uppercut pistol with an attached stock, making it a medium slot weapon. It has a slightly slower reload, but greatly reduced sway.
Basic - Long Ammo – 6/9
Incendiary - Long Ammo – 6/9
Explosive - Long Ammo – 6/9
New Weapon Variant: Caldwell Conversion Uppercut Precision Deadeye
With the reduced sway and Long Ammo cartridge, a Deadeye scope greatly complements the Uppercut Precision’s midrange performance.
Basic - Long Ammo – 6/9
Incendiary - Long Ammo – 6/9
Explosive - Long Ammo – 6/9
New Weapon Variant: Bornheim No.3 Silencer
This early German semi-automatic pistol can release a hail of accurate fire by virtue of its low recoil. An attached silencer masks the rapid gunfire but features a worse sight and worse damage drop-off. Like other small slot pistols, it can be used for dual wielding.
Basic - Compact Ammo – 5+1/15
High Velocity - Compact Ammo – 5+1/15
Incendiary - Compact Ammo – 5+1/15

Custom Ammo Box
The Custom Ammo Box is a new interactive Ammo Box that can be found in the bayou during Missions. They allow Hunters to swap their active ammo type in their selected weapon with one from a box. These new boxes can be found at Supply Points, Watch Towers, and Hunting Towers in both Bounty Hunt and Soul Survivor. Unlimited versions can also be found in the Shooting Range.
Available Ammo Types
Each ammo type listed below can be found in Custom Ammo Boxes: Bullets
FMJ
Dumdum
Explosive
High Velocity
Incendiary
Poison
Spitzer
Boxes containing bullets can be used while holding any valid weapon across all available ammo sizes, for example the Incendiary box can be used with weapons that can equip Compact Incendiary, Medium Incendiary, or Long Incendiary.
Shells
Dragonbreath
Flechette
Pennyshot
Slugs
Bolts/Arrows
Explosive Bolt
Frag Arrow
Poison Arrow
Poison Compact Bolt
Interaction
Using a Custom Ammo Box requires a hold interaction, similar to looting a Saddlebag or dead Hunter. This accounts for the time it takes a Hunter to unload their weapon. The interaction time lasts between 1-8s based on how much ammo is currently loaded in the weapon.
When you swap ammo types, all previous excess ammunition you carried in that weapon will be lost and the weapon will be fully emptied. When the interaction is complete, you will replenish the same amount of ammunition of the new type as you would from an Ammo Box consumable.
Interacting with a Custom Ammo Box when already having the same custom ammo type equipped will allow you to take the ammo from the box instead of swap. For example, interacting with an Incendiary Swap Box while Incendiary ammo is already equipped on your current weapon will replenish all Incendiary ammo pools rather than swap out the ammo type.
Weapon Inspect
Weapon Inspect is a new action that can be triggered during Missions that allows a Hunter to view their equipped weapon in greater detail.
This feature will come in waves, the first of which includes:
Special weapons (Crossbow, Hunting Bow, Bomb Lance, etc.)
Additional weapons will receive their own Weapon Inspect animations in future updates.
Triggering the action can be done by pressing the 'Weapon Inspect' input. The default bindings for supported platforms are:
PC - 'I' (can be customized like other PC inputs)
XBOX - Y (when the Weapon Wheel is open)
PS - 'Triangle' (when the Weapon Wheel is open)
Once triggered, any inspect animation can be instantly interrupted by most other gameplay actions (Aiming, Attacking, Quickswap etc.)
Developer’s Note: Weapon Inspect has been a highly requested feature by many in the Community, and we are very happy to deliver this first batch. Due to the large workload of hand crafting each animation, we chose to release them in batches.
Razer Chroma
We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Razer Chroma effects in Hunt! If you have Razer products, you can now use a number of pre-made effects. These will be expanded upon in a future update, as well.
Razer Chroma Effects have been added for the following actions:
Default Chroma Effect while in a match of Hunt.
While in Dark Sight.
When interacting with a Clue or Rift.
When your Hunter bleeds.
When your Hunter is burning.
When your Hunter is shooting.
When your Hunter is melee attacking.
When your Hunter is walking through water.
Flash Bomb Rework
The Flash Bomb is one of the strongest, most effective Consumables in any Hunter’s arsenal. With these changes, we hope to bring it more in line with other Consumables:
The Flash Bomb now requires a short preparation before it can be thrown.
This is supported by a new priming animation and sound.
Bulwark now decreases the duration of the flash.
Hunters who are flashed and have Bulwark will not give a hit marker to the thrower.
The full flash screen color has been slightly adjusted to be less straining for the eyes.
The Flash Bomb has been removed from Dark Tribute and Challenge rewards.
The Flash Bomb can no longer be found or looted in Missions.
Recruited Hunters will not come with Flash Bombs anymore.
Developer’s Note: With the new priming mechanic on the Flash Bomb, players will have a better chance to react to the Consumable, similar to the process of navigating thrown explosives. Additionally, the change to Bulwark allows the player to be better prepared against Flash Bombs, and the change to the color of the full flash screen will offer players a gentler experience when getting fully flashed.
Gunplay
For Riposte attachments, the vertical melee angle for light melee attacks was slightly adjusted to be better aligned with the animation.
Added the Drilling and LeMat Mark II UpperMat sounds to the Chaos Bomb and Chaos Bolt.
Adjusted the Shredder ammo for the Nitro:
No wall penetration beyond 41m (excluding wire meshed).
Can only penetrate thin walls.
Reduced damage after a second wall penetration.
Reduced one-hit kill distance to the upper torso on a Hunter up to 58m.
Resupply changes to the Quad Derringer and Flare Pistol:
The Quad Derringer now resupplies with Ammo Crates and the Ammo Box Consumable.
8 Bullets from the Ammo Crate.
Full refill from the Ammo Box Consumable.
The Flare Pistol now shares an ammo pool with Starshell ammo and refills with Special Ammo Crates.
Increased the regeneration speed on the Regeneration Shot and Regeneration Shot (Weak) to be the same as the normal health regeneration. Increased their prices by 20 Hunt Dollars each.
The Regeneration Shot now costs 105 Hunt Dollars (was previously 85).
The Regeneration Shot (Weak) now costs 40 Hunt Dollars (was previously 20).
Adjusted the stamina consumption on several melee weapons:
All Brawler variants: light melee has been reduced from 10 to 7, and heavy melee from 25 to 15.
All Talon variants: heavy melee has been reduced from 50 to 45.
All Trauma variants: heavy melee has been reduced from 50 to 45.
All Bayonet variants: heavy melee has been reduced from 40 to 30.
All Riposte variants: heavy melee has been increased from 25 to 30 to be on par with Bayonet variants.
All Claw variants: light melee has been reduced from 25 to 22, and heavy melee from 34 to 28.
Combat Axe: heavy melee has been reduced from 34 to 33. (This does not affect any Axes found in the world.)
Increased the spare ammo on the Bornheim and its variants from 10 to 15.
Increased the flying speed for the Choke Beetle and Stalker Beetle.
Slightly increased the recoil on the Nagant M1895 Officer Carbine to make it harder to control.
Developer’s Note: After the recent changes to the Nagant M1895 Officer Carbine, we saw positive responses to the recoil changes; however, it was also too easy to control. We have made another small adjustment to make it slightly more difficult to keep the weapon on target after each shot.
Gameplay
Traits
Conduit Conduit will now trigger for all teammates who currently have the Trait equipped when anyone in the team fully interacts with a Clue. This change reduces competition between teammates and makes Conduit a viable pick for the whole team. However, to account for this increase in usability, some additional adjustments have also been made:
Increase to 5 Upgrade Points from 4.
Stamina reduced to 3 minutes from 5.
No longer triggered by picking up the Bounty Token (only Clues).
Developer’s note: Since its last change, we have seen Conduit become an overall very useful pick for both Teams and Solos, and these changes help to bring a better balance between usefulness and cost. Additionally, we have removed the trigger on picking up a Bounty Token, as we would like to see Conduit focus more on being the ‘Clue Trait’ and Magpie as the ‘Bounty Token Trait.’
Decoy Supply
Decoys, Blank Fire Decoys, and Decoy Fuses can now all be resupplied at Special Ammo Crates in addition to normal Ammo Crates.
Shadow (Burn Trait) Familiar to those who have taken part in recent Live Events, Shadow is now returning permanently as a new Burn Trait. As a Burn Trait, Shadow cannot be purchased in the Upgrades screen, and instead can only be found during a Mission—either through a rare world spawn or dropped from a killed Meathead.
Shadow - Monsters can’t see you, but they can still hear you. Burns when your Hunter is downed.
Meta
Hunter Slots
Increased the max amount of Hunter slots to 75 from 50.
Restoration changes
With Update 1.13, a clarity pass was applied to the effects that fully restore your Hunter, by adding a Restoration Ticker which denoted the effect. Now with Update 1.14, this is further enhanced by adding additional signposting with audio-visual effects on the source (e.g. the Boss Target corpse on Banish) and all receivers (e.g. all Hunters on the team that initiated the Banish). Players can now locate enemy Hunters who have just received a Restoration with some careful attention; on the other hand, it can reveal your location if you are the recipient.
Weapon Prices
Mosin-Nagant M1891 Bayonet decreased to 507 Hunt Dollars from 540.
Springfield M1892 Krag Bayonet decreased to 391 Hunt Dollars from 426.
Winfield M1873 Musket Bayonet decreased to 87 Hunt Dollars from 137.
Vetterli 71 Karabiner Bayonet decreased to 115 Hunt Dollars from 155.
Specter 1882 Bayonet decreased to 211 Hunt Dollars from 223.
Springfield 1866 Compact Striker decreased to 47 Hunt Dollars from 56.
Audio
A consistency pass has been made on bullet crack audio for High Velocity ammo in order to better reflect its speed. Medium High Velocity Ammo on silent weapons now plays the generic bullet crack used on other silent weapons. All other Medium High Velocity Ammo now plays a specific High-Velocity bullet crack.
Added new audio assets for grabbing bullets while reloading handguns.
Priming a Flash Bomb is now louder—around the same volume as priming a Dynamite Stick.
AI
Rotjaw
Rotjaw now notices Hunters up to 20m around her and will enter the water upon noticing them.
Reduced damage from blunt melee attacks by 10%.
Reduced damage from piercing melee attacks by 15%.
Updated the Shooting Range to include Custom Ammo Boxes and weapon pickups for the Drilling and LeMat Mark II UpperMat.
Removed the two barricaded doors that separated the mines and the construction building at Kingsnake Mine.

The time is here, the All in your head demo is coming out this week. It will consist of 2 acts which would be around 25% of the final game, but with limited features of course. Players can get a feel for the full game now and get a feel of the story. Try to figure out what's really going on, and what's just in your head.
Description
You take on the role of a left-behind young man who has to spend the night in a cabin that was meant to be a destination party with his co-workers & friends. The cabin is located in a beautiful & secluded hill of the country-side. But seclusion can also mean lack of access to resources & unchartered territories.
In this first-person horror adventure, you walk through the cabin and surrounding areas, trying to uncover the mystery of what went wrong and why you are alone in the cabin now. However, you need to be careful. As uncovering the mystery also uncovers the horrors lying underneath the surface.
Explore the cabin, investigate the items around and deduce the reason for the unfortunate event that has taken place. Meanwhile, you might need to finish what you and your friends came here to do, all alone. Try to stay in the light but if need be, use your phone as your flashlight.
Use your phone as your flashlight, explore the area and uncover the mystery of what happened.. But make sure you have the tools to survive the night!
Playtime
Total playtime should be around 15-20 minutes if you know what you're doing!
Controls
WASD Keyboard + mouse. Partial controller support
Personal Note
When I started a new project for this game, my first ever game, I couldn't have ever imagined that I would reach this point.
