Endless Sky - M*C*O
This is an unstable release, containing big changes that may introduce new bugs.

This update contains over 50 new Coalition missions, making up the introductions of the Heliarch and Lunarium campaigns, granting access to some Heliarch weapons and some new outfits for the resistance, respectively.

    Some other major changes and additions are:
  • Flattened the thrust scaling of sets of engines as you get bigger engines in a set. Smaller ships have received a significant max speed and acceleration buff, while larger ships have been unchanged or slightly nerfed.
  • The Unfettered Solifuge and Violin Spider are now added to the Unfettered shipyards.
  • Ships can now be given display names for their model name.
  • Plugins can now have a "plugin.txt" metadata file in their root folder that specifies the name of the plugin and its description as shown in the plugins menu in game.
  • Governments can now define travel restrictions that prevent their fleets from traveling to or from systems or planets that match the restrictions.
  • Various UI/UX improvements.

Bug fixes:
  • Contacting the Korath Exiles during the Wanderer campaign can now properly be deferred and reoffered instead of deferring the mission effectively declining it and locking you out of the rest of the campaign.
  • Using hotkeys to search for the nearest asteroid no longer crashes the game.
  • The shipyard and outfitter mission offer location tags will now properly write to the save file.
  • Trailing whitespace in hails no longer causes hails to overlap with one another.
  • The "Remnant: Expanded Horizons Astral job" job will no longer select the "Deep Space" systems, which are unreachable, as waypoints.

Note: We have dropped support for Windows 32-bit machines, as they have been getting phased for years, and are now used by less than 0.08% of people. If you still want to play the latest updates on an old machine, you can still compile them yourself, however we will no longer provide them on Steam.

We keep updating the Survival map in various ways to prepare for the previously mentioned plans.

Improved the combat system, addressed the overly fast windup issue, updated movement, continue to enhance the overall gameplay experience, and made feedback-based changes to the Survival elements.

This update has a larger filesize than usual, as it includes components that will also be part of future updates.


Here is what today's patch brings!


New Island & Survival Map Updates




Added an island where players can sail and raid in Survival.

Enhanced realism of mountain material in specific locations. Implemented landscape improvements for a more natural appearance. Reduced the steepness of the initial area. Added the first Yggdrasil branch. Incorporated more animated fog.



Quests Updates

Added a sailing island raiding quest with a rare weapon to be picked up.

Updated several existing quests with more direct tasks.

Fixed an invalid marker in the camp raid quest.


Windup Animation Update

Adjusted attack animations to increase their windup period.

We received feedback that the reaction time was insufficient and are working on improving the overall fight dynamics. For instance, the forward stab used to be an almost instant attack, but now there's a brief moment to anticipate the attack and react. We would appreciate your thoughts on how it feels now.


Stances System Tweaks



Adjusted the stance system blending and made it return to idle earlier. It changes faster now and should feel more organic during combat, let us know if you have any feedback on this.


More Open Shield Warriors



Now it's easier to land hits on enemies with shields. Their animations have been updated to be more open in certain cases, while actual blocking remains just as effective.


Bow Zoom & FPP Animation Adjustments

Normalized bow focus zoom, it was indeed weird.

Fixed first-person perspective animation issues with the bow.


Movement Improvements



Slightly updated animations and their playback rates contribute to a more natural movement. It's still far from perfect, but it's already better.

When walking with a weapon, there are more satisfying inverse kinematics controls.


Survival Elements Adjustments

Added more iron ore across the map.

Made additional tweaks to fall damage.

Fixed water sound issues.

Implemented minor updates to the UI.

Updated the crafting recipe for Karvi.

Increased character swimming speed.


Karvi Control Adjustments

Karvi has received updated parameters for its different states and should now be easier to control.

Roman Infantry Sprite Adjustment: 2 sprites were changed to better align with the game's aesthetics.
Map Size Reduction: The map size was reduced to eliminate unnecessary space.
Unit Speed Adjustment: With the map size reduction, unit movement speed was also decreased.
Real-Time Respawn Timer: The respawn time of camps is now displayed in real-time.
Roll Point Key Change: You can now use the R key instead of the P to change the roll point.
Camp Respawn Indicator: Camps will turn yellow when only 30 seconds remain for respawn.
Increased Gold from Neutral Enemies: Neutral enemies will now grant more gold upon elimination.
Increased Damage from Neutral Enemies: The damage from neutral enemies was increased from 5% to 20% of maximum life.
Increased Life of Neutral Enemies: The maximum life of neutral enemies will increase each time they respawn.
Unit Auto-Attack Improvement: Units’ auto-attack has been enhanced, preventing them from staying still when enemies are nearby.
General Upgrade Levels: General upgrades will now be made at levels 6 and 12.
Greek Upgrades Unlock: Greek upgrades in the blacksmith will be unlocked at level 12.
Gauls Improvement: Gauls have been upgraded; now with their experience-increasing upgrade, they will gain an additional 150% experience and it will only cost 2000 gold.

Take a look at a short video of our game. We're polishing up Niagara's spell effects in Unreal Engine 5. In the game, we have the ability to collide spells cast by our team with spells from traps. It's quite a useful feature and quite fun to use :)



We optimise the spell effects in the game (e.g. use the same smoke animations in multiple special effects, etc.).

Only until the end of next week can you sign up for public playtests of the game. You are welcome! :)
