I've added an online test galaxy. It will automatically pop up in the 'Galaxy Campaign' section. Give it a try. It will be interesting to see if it holds up to a good stress test.
We will update the game during our maintenance on Sep 27th, which will last for 3 hours and run between 12:30-15:30 (UTC+8). After the maintenance we will give all players 8,000 Bronze Coins, 300 Honor, and 15 Unit Medals as compensation for any inconvenience caused. Be sure to arrange your time accordingly.

Increase HP.

Long-distance Charge
[Long-distance Charge] is a common characteristic for lancer cavalry. All lancer cavalries have already incorporated it. Adjustments will be made to the descriptions of the following units:

Part of the [Guts & Glory] rewards can be unlocked for free. You can also purchase [Monkey King] hero attires or [Monkey King] packs to rank up in [Guts & Glory] and unlock all premium rewards!
You may claim all premium rewards of ranks you've earned by purchasing [Guts & Glory] at any time.
After [Guts & Glory] ends, rewards can be claimed until the next version update. (You may still purchase [Guts & Glory] during this time to get all premium rewards.) Rewards still unclaimed at the time of the next version update will be lost, so claim them in time!

Complete event quests to earn experience and rank up for tons of rewards.
The event contains daily, sign-in, badge, and matchmaking quests. Daily quests refresh at 00:00. You can earn 1,100 points from sign-in and daily quests. Badge and matchmaking quests can be completed at any time, and each of these may be completed up to 30 times. You can earn 600 points from these.
You will no longer be able to obtain experience from these event quests after reaching maximum rank (1,500 experience). Experience can only be gained from quests and cannot be bought.

Win Conditions
The map comprises three phases and three locked flag points. A preview will appear which flag can be contended for in each phase. The first side to win during two phases wins.
Flag Points
A team gains progress when they're the only ones with heroes inside capture range.
There's a time limit for each phase. Should the time run out, the one with the most progress wins the phase.
Naturally, capturing the flag immediately wins you the phase.
Between Phases
After each phase, all players on the side with the most flag captures recover to up to 525 leadership, while players on the other side recover to up to 600. In case of a tie, both teams recover to up to 600.
The next phase's flag point unlocks after a certain time.
Armor, Artilleries & Units
You'll be provided with armor, artilleries and units, but any runes you've equipped will still take effect.
Leadership Refunds
It costs leadership to draft units from supply points or the deployment menu. You'll be refunded leadership based on how many soldiers remain of a unit you withdraw.
Units that have retreated cannot be drafted again.

We're back with some more updates to share, this time as we are preparing for Steam Next Fest in a few weeks, we have been tweaking and messing around with every aspect of Play Pretend to make it the best it can be. This months update will be covering our new UI and menu changes that we have been working on.
After beating all the enemies in a room you will be presented with one (or both) of the following ways to get more powerful, either by increasing your base stats or by collecting a new idea to place into your power grid. These are far simpler to navigate and have been given a complete aesthetic makeover by our very talented artists.
If however, you are beaten by all of the scary imaginary monsters of Play Pretend, or you are skilled enough to beat them all and win the game, you are given a report card with some info on how you did, how many enemies you have beaten and a record of how powerful you became.
But that's not all for today, we also have a look at our new map feature. Instead of playing through a completely linear world with random encounters. We decided to give you some options in how you approach each world, with a new multi-path map showing you where the enemies lurk, different schoolrooms are, and allow choice in playing the way you want to. This is currently in the concept-art phase but we’ll have a shiny complete map to reveal soon.

We've been quiet this month getting all ready to show off our fantasy world in all its entirety. This is a long ol' post so strap in!
Way back when development started for Play Pretend, we knew we wanted various imaginary worlds themed after childhood dreams and fantasies. As such, we just had to have a medieval fantasy world featuring dragons, knights, and a princess. We set out to develop it as our first world and so it's been through many iterations to get to where we are now.
EGX: Those of you who we met last year at EGX may remember our fantasy world as a flat, green landscape. While we were happy with how it was looking then, we knew we could do so much better.
Recolour:
The first thing we knew we wanted to address was the colour scheme. I've mentioned this before in a previous post, but as a reminder, here's a peek at how far the fantasy environment has come:

As part of the recolour, we shifted theming a little too, when we first set out with the fantasy world we were fully set on a very typical fantasy princess look. While fleshing out some of the other worlds, however, we decided to shift this to more of a fantasy/witch mix which really contributed to how we themed our props and final colours. Spooky?
Them's fightin' words
Of course, our worlds would be pointless if they weren't full of a wide range of enemies. We've been working really hard to get a full set of enemies in along with Agatha in all her glory. In celebration of the enemies being completed, here's a rapid rundown of some of the fantasy roster:
Froggie + Toad Bombers - Long-range attackers who will try their best to hit you with their frog spawn bubbles.
Nekomancers - Slippery cats who use their magic to teleport away when targeted.
Empty knights - Hulking suits of armour that chase you down. Careful when you hit their helmet off, it'll only make them quicker
(Almost) breezing through
All throughout the development of the fantasy world, we've faced an large number of challenges, most of which are less related to the world itself and more about how we build worlds in the first place. These varied from little things like how to mark areas inaccessible to the player, to big things like what should happen in terms of visibility when the player walks behind some of the environment. However, with most of these issues now out of the way, we are finally able to pick up the pace on world development, which means we're getting closer to being able to reveal that all-important release date!
