A new build is going out today with some sprite and typo fixes!
If you run into any typos, please donât hesitate to send a quick email to ArewarGames@gmail.com. I donât need any kind of fancy report, a simple screenshot is very helpful into getting it fixed.
Sorry for the typos, I know they can be annoying! Iâm a one-person dev/writer team and itâs a big game, so please forgive me. :D
Itâs Friday again and here is our Foundry Friday Blog! Today I bring information about our Assembly Lines and the robots they assemble. A feature we have announced a while ago but have been pretty quiet ever since. This time we donât need a long paragraph of text to get started, letâs jump right into it with a video:
Please note that everything shown in this post is still work in progress and not yet representative of the final version.
Motivation
Now that youâve seen what itâs all about, letâs look at what motivated me to add this feature: To me it always felt like missed potential that you produce so many different items while playing a factory game, yet you rarely see how any of the items are actually made. Machines take certain items as input and after a few seconds something else comes out on the other side. And while there are options to add a little more immersion with machines similar to 3D-printers (where the output item is faded in) I always wanted to go further.
Scope
The reason why itâs uncommon to visualize the process of items being made is simple: Itâs very difficult and takes a lot of effort. It requires animations, models, engineering work, and lots of polishing to bring it all together. On top of that it also comes with a performance cost so it needs optimization work. Therefore we settled for a middle ground where we are going to visualize the assembly of our final products, the things you work towards and have the most impressive looks.
For now that means that most of FOUNDRYâs gameplay stays the same while you will be building those assembly lines for our end products. Depending on reception of this feature we might go further and visualize more product manufacturing in future updates. Especially in the metallurgy part of the game I see a lot of additional potential.
Robots
Youâve seen the videos and gifs, weâre making robots! Weâve been quiet about the end products in FOUNDRY but now we can finally share the secret: Youâre going to produce robots, lots of robots. Different models too. However, âwhyâ is a question that we are going to leave unanswered for now. Feel free to speculate in our Discord, we enjoy reading all the guesses, maybe someone gets it right?
Robots work really well when you want to visualize their assembly process, for now we have shared how different parts are attached and welded, but there will be more. Youâll be manufacturing the robots circuit boards, batteries and many other things. And putting it all together will be part of the assembly lines.
As the final step you get to paint your robots, you can even select different colors for each part.
Gameplay
Iâm sure many of you would like to know how the game mechanics actually work, so let us have a quick look at that too. You start with, for lack of a better name, the âstart buildingâ of the assembly line, at which the initial robot part (the torso) gets hooked onto the overhead rails. From here on you build those rails like conveyor belts, they can go up, down, left, right and there are even mergers and splitters. To add parts to your robot you need to bring them to an âAssembly Line Assemblerâ at which you can select what action it should execute.
You are not forced to build your robots in a fully linear way, so you get to pick the order of assembly. Of course there are some limitations, itâs hard to attach a foot when the leg has not been added yet. The individual parts like arms and legs are made in regular machines like Assemblers and need to be brought to the Assembly Line by conveyor belt.
Once your robots are manufactured and painted they go into a special building. But since I havenât disclosed why you need to build robots, I also cannot share any more information about where they are going - I surely canât reveal everything at once :)
Steam Next Fest 2023
Before ending this Foundry Friday episode Iâd like to bring your attention to our Steam Next Fest participation. Starting October 9th there will be a free demo for everyone available on Steam.
Iâm looking forward to your thoughts and feedback and I hope to see you during the Steam Next Fest, -mrmcd
There will now be mega projects that players can team up to fund and complete. When a project is completed it will have permanent changes on the game, usually benefits to all players.
You can observe the megaproject on the Earth model in the game evolve as the global funding rate increases for the project.
First Global Project is a Space Elevator in Antarctica being constructed by Xian-Bei and New World factions. This will make access to space much easier, as a beneficiary you should be funding and helping this project. Funding may also help your relations with these factions and lower your dependency.
There is a new achievement related to this new mechanic. If you contributed to a Global Project you will receive it.
The Bond Market
The new Bond Market rewards the players who hold bonds with interest from the Venture Pool. Venture Pool is constantly growing. When a player buys a bond or pays the annual fee it will be added to the pool.
Access this new mechanic through the Finance Panel.
Unlock Camera Button
There is a camera unlock/lock button on the top bar, when camera is unlocked it can be controlled using the "WASD" keys.
Changes
Can no longer hire more than 15-16 Board Members
Saving and auto-saving is now optimized and any freeze that may occur became mostly unnoticeable.
Destroying enemies no longer causes bad karma.
Dumbots (red small enemies) spawn once per three years.
Board votes can't be more than the amount of board members.
World dependency is calculated more frequently.
Rewarding Workers with Shares will cause much less share inflation.
5 Years Annual Report mechanic is working now.
Typo fixes.
Many big and small bug fixes.
Thank you very much to everybody who reported bugs and shared feedback. ([yep] Klaus., LegioNemesis, Vasquez, Vincent and BrianRubin)
We have another development update for you today, and if you are a fan of the series, tomorrow is your day. At 1 PM PST we will reveal:

We have arranged a special early premier for our patrons earlier today. The feedback was Ëburning_flamesË ËbombingË, everybody is totally hyped now! You can visit our Discord and ask them themselves if you are eager to learn more.

Now back toâŠ
Gorgeous and dangerous Helen
âŠhappily ever after indeed
Has this piece of dialogue ever felt satisfying for you?
H: Ah, there you are, my captain! I am so glad, "+pchar.name+", that you have finally decided to visit me. I have got a lot to discuss you. PC: (Option A) We will delay this conversation a bit. I need to get some more information before I'll be able to answer your questions. And now I'm asking you to not show yourself on the streets. I hope that your waiting will not last long. Trust me and wait.
Right?! The lady is clearly giving you signs and you are like:
Wait.ËseawolvesË
This is Helenâs peak of interactive content. No wonder she feels totally inferior to Mary. Just think of it:
ËjollyrËA unique Vanguard is much more valuable than a unique Companion; ËjollyrËNo personal quest and no proper love story; ËjollyrËDoesnât take the bedroom initiatives in her hands, so to speak. Although, for some, it is a plus. ËjollyrËZombie Jessica doesnât approve of her. Must be personal.
Caribbean Legend will change that.Helen will get her own quest and one more ending. The quest will be happening during the Pirate Saga, allowing Charles and Helen to learn more about each other and to spend some time together. The best part is that you will be able to build Helen differently, depending on the choices you make. You can make her a perfect Vanguard, strengthen her naval skills even further or make her stats more balanced. There is also another new major feature, but that would be a spoiler. Donât want to ruin the moment for you when and if you get to it. ËbombingË
PC: ( Option B) You told me you wouldn't forgive me if I didn't visit you and Gladys. Well, here I am. H: Nice that you remember that. I wanted to say that I am truly grateful. It's not every day you get saved from, you know, that kind of situation. H: Let's just go and get a drink, my treat.
Getting better, right? Behind that simple dialogue option, a couple of hours of additional gameplay is hiding. Looking forward to hearing your feedback once you complete the quest in the game.
âŠAnd thatâs all for today, folks, see you soon at the big event tomorrow!

So... It's been awhile since the release of the game. The process of making the game fun and re-playable is under heavy development. I'm rebuilding the game from scratch in a different game engine which is making the process a bit slower than I would have hoped for.
I updated the game with some new mechanics such as power ups and more police but something is making the game extremely laggy.
HOWEVER! The new, 2.0 version of the game will look and feel completely different. So what's in the future?
For 2.0
FACELIFT. The police and player cars are now more than just a pixel. Even though I loved the idea of keeping it simple, I have to admit that this is necessary. Perhaps a single pixel will be a choice in the future but right now the cars look like actual cars, in a nice pixelated way! Ever the smoke is now more than just circles created by code, its now actual sprites
SEVERAL POWER UP COINS. Right now the following is in place and working: Invincible, 5 points coin and freeze the police. But more are planned to be added such as: speed boost, guns, spikes and nails and more!
SOUNDS. New sounds reacting to the environment in a 2d space. You will hear the police chasing you literally.
LEVEL DESIGNER. A whole new level designer with different kinds blocks with different kinds of attributes to build with.
For 2.x
STORY MODE. Of course there is a reason why you are chasing coins. And even though the game is a "high-score" game like snake, pac-man or pong I love a good story and will try my best to get it into the game.
STORE. What to do with all the coins you collect? Customize your car and weapons of course!
For the future:
ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. I really hope to get some kind of online lobby where you can play against others and play your favorite maps.
Go ahead and play the demo to get a sample of what lays ahead!
The game is out and the feedback is rolling in. We'd love to her your thoughts, anything goes, big or small.
Future content is planned to be added (without any extra cost) for this game due to popular demand:
Adding postponed and cut content, there are at least a few hundred renders that were cut or postponed to get the game out, but now, we'll be able to render and add them to the story.
Adding more SFX, Music, and Vocals, especially to the sex scenes.
Adding more animation angles and the ability change angles of the camera during the sex scenes, and a less intrusive continue button, for a clean looping animation.
Adding a Gallery page to the main menu, a Gallery will be added to the main page where you'll be able to replay all the cool animations, and see inspiring images.
Adding special wallpapers of the main characters, wallpapers and special images for each of the girls will be added to the gallery.
All these in addition to many bug fixes, graphical, textual, and code.
Thank you so much for your support, We hope you'll enjoy the game as much as we loved making it.
