The Grugs: Origins - Yogurt
Welcome to our fifth developer log, this time we'll be showing you guys more of the world you'll get to explore as the four members of The Grugs family!

As we mentioned previously, the world of the Grugs includes multiple different biomes, each with their own colour scheme, reoccuring motives, design elements, enemies and challenges and a unique boss at the end! The first of biome is the lovely, lush green hills. This place is dominated by greenery, tall grass, reeds, bushes, trees and many other organic features. This is due to the abundant fresh water that flows from the nearest mountaintop. Needless to say, the Grugs family was smart to build their home here, as it's a relatively peaceful and a safe area, however, occasionally raptors and pterodactyls do find their way into here, as there's plenty of food for them to find, make sure you don't become it!

The first four levels lead you from the home cave towards the source of the fresh waters, this shall prepare you for the challenges up ahead. The next levels take you towards the borders of the green hills, to the great lookout tree. From this tree, you can already see the next biome you'll be able to explore, but before you do so, there's a mysterious egg on the tree!

The Green Hills are Hector's favorite playground, as he grew up here and knows it like the palm of his hands. He's familiar with all of the dangers of this land, whether it be spikes, boulders, the flowing waters of the mountains or the stagnant pools of the swamps. What he's not familiar with is the occasional hungry dino that wanders into his homelands, but he can use the giant mushrooms that grow here to bounce away from them! If you're curious about how the green hills will look like in game, check out our third devlog, in which we show you how the art of the world has been developing.

Stay tuned for next weeks devlog, where we'll introduce you to the third playable character, Brat, the mischievous genius. Until then, enjoy this special look into how the map will potentially look like in game:

Infinite Stars - The Visual Novel - wraiith303
It's another Friday! And it's a long weekend in South Africa.

The past two weeks haven't been kind to me. We were without water for a few days, and we were back to being without power for 9+ hours per day, but that seems to be over now. We're back to having water, and the daily power cuts are down to the regular 2-4 hours per day, which I can deal with.

My day job has also been particularly busy, not that I'm complaining, as it pays the bills. We're working on some large deals, and I've been asked to be part of a prestigious upcoming event. I've also been meeting with some fascinating business individuals, which always leaves me energised and motivated! My only complaint is time. To quote Bilbo Baggins, "I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread."

But the rest of our amazing team has been incredible with picking up the slack!

Crowbie has been expanding on my drafts and working on the content for Episode 4, Tae has done what feels like a gazillion new characters recently (The six aliens we've teased, four new side characters for the crew, the Spooktober outfits, and so much more!)

Stoffies has had some health issues from too much drawing, and he has to take it a bit slower, with some scheduled downtime happening from December. We snatched HiroDan, our other background artist, from a still unannounced project to step in and help out in the meantime.

Backgrounds always seem to be the bottleneck when it comes to new content, but we're still set on launching the next public release of Infinite Stars in November. At worst, we'll have to use some placeholder art, as I don't want to delay the release much longer.

I'm regretting the whole Spooktober thing.
I'm anxiously watching the deadline approach as I wasn't bargaining on the extra distractions. Even without the extended power cuts and increased day job workload, we were on a thin margin of available time. I've always wanted to participate, so we'll see it through!

Doesn't Reyna look enchanting in her Halloween Heist costume? A lot of you voted for Reyna to be dressed as a witch, and I can't wait to share the other costumes!

I still have a lot of day job tasks to get through, and I'm also hoping to get some more Infinite Stars work done, so I'm going to politely bow out and get back to work.

Crafty Survivors - Flannel Bear Games
Patch Notes - v0.4.1.3

As a few players are still mentioning about losing their save progress, we have been planning some adjustments for a while to the way the game saves its files, in order to avoid loss of progress. We hope this can possibly eliminate the problem for anyone else in the future.

This patch is implementing these changes to the saving code.

Adjustments
  • Heavily increased the amount of Gold dropped by all Mountain Stages.
GLASS2 - TSB

Hello!

The first popularity poll for the heroines appearing in GLASS 2 has begun~!

Please write the name of your favorite heroine in the comments of this article.

The heroine selected as the most popular girl will be given the opportunity to create ASMR content using that voice!

And of those who participate, we will select 20 people and send them GLASS goods.
(Goods...you know what they are, right?)

We look forward to many participation.

Thank you.

Journey to the West - Chelsea~
Did everyone start using the Monkey King skins that were updated last week? Does it make wielding the Monkey King Bar even more powerful? You can also try Journey to the West on iOS here in Apple Store!

This week, we continue to optimize the game, and the DLC production is also proceeding as planned! The new skins of rabbit girls are almost ready!

Major Optimizations

We've made several optimizations and adjustments to the Mighty Monkey and the Hairy Monkey:
  • The Mighty Monkey now sports the New Monkey King skin, making it more imposing!

  • We've removed the Defensive Offence card from Mighty Monkey’s card set and improved its passive ability.
  • The Mighty Monkey's passive ability has now changed to 2/3/4 Rupture, and made Rupture to be applied when target’s defense decreased, rather than when breaking the opponent's defense. This greatly enhances the utility of Rupture in multiple attacks, especially when combined with the Holy Monk and many companions, increasing the power of the Vermilion Bird.

  • We've slightly buffed the Hairy Monkey: the passive has been changed to 2/3/4 damage and defense, with the fixed card usage of 3.

We've optimized the text description for the requirements of the final chapter's storyline, changing "Good" to "Virtue" and "Evil" to "Sin" to avoid confusion with the game's good and evil states.

Regarding the game's save mechanism, now, the game will not save when leaving a location until entering the next location. This is to prevent accidental actions and offer better S/L experiences. You no longer need to worry about choosing the wrong relic or grabbing the wrong card.

Now, the Seven Treasure Tree is effective against defenses other than cards.

Other adjustments
  • The Dream-Eater’sClaw will now remember the last card played for easier selection.
  • The Chaotic Iron Axe will prioritize upgrading cards in the deck.
  • We've adjusted the logic for the appearance of the Reincarnation Stone, which will only appear in Chapters 1 and 2 to avoid its presence in Chapters 3 and 4 without being helpful.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where the Rose Golden Bell attached to already upgraded cards during combat would render the upgrade ineffective.
  • Fixed an English text bug when Master of Heave retreated in the Tang Monk's Heavenly Palace storyline.
  • Fixed the explanation of the evil state.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a companion resurrection failure due to Holy Monk’s Resurrection card.
  • Fixed an abnormality caused by choosing a relic when using the last played card.
