As part of the Melbourne International Games Week Steam event, I'll be live-streaming some of your designs submitted using the new Steam Workshop feature. Please submit your builds and let me know in the comments! I'll try play as many as I can.
I'll also be talking about the game in general and answering your questions about our plans for the game.
The stream will start Sunday 24 Sept 10am AEST / Saturday 23 Sept 5pm PDT.

As a few players are still mentioning about losing their save progress, we have been planning some adjustments for a while to the way the game saves its files, in order to avoid loss of progress. We hope this can possibly eliminate the problem for anyone else in the future.
This patch is implementing these changes to the saving code.
Adjustments
Heavily increased the amount of Gold dropped by all Mountain Stages.
Did everyone start using the Monkey King skins that were updated last week? Does it make wielding the Monkey King Bar even more powerful? You can also try Journey to the West on iOS here in Apple Store!
This week, we continue to optimize the game, and the DLC production is also proceeding as planned! The new skins of rabbit girls are almost ready!
Major Optimizations
We've made several optimizations and adjustments to the Mighty Monkey and the Hairy Monkey:
The Mighty Monkey now sports the New Monkey King skin, making it more imposing!
We've removed the Defensive Offence card from Mighty Monkey’s card set and improved its passive ability.
The Mighty Monkey's passive ability has now changed to 2/3/4 Rupture, and made Rupture to be applied when target’s defense decreased, rather than when breaking the opponent's defense. This greatly enhances the utility of Rupture in multiple attacks, especially when combined with the Holy Monk and many companions, increasing the power of the Vermilion Bird.
We've slightly buffed the Hairy Monkey: the passive has been changed to 2/3/4 damage and defense, with the fixed card usage of 3.
We've optimized the text description for the requirements of the final chapter's storyline, changing "Good" to "Virtue" and "Evil" to "Sin" to avoid confusion with the game's good and evil states.
Regarding the game's save mechanism, now, the game will not save when leaving a location until entering the next location. This is to prevent accidental actions and offer better S/L experiences. You no longer need to worry about choosing the wrong relic or grabbing the wrong card.
Now, the Seven Treasure Tree is effective against defenses other than cards.
Other adjustments
The Dream-Eater’sClaw will now remember the last card played for easier selection.
The Chaotic Iron Axe will prioritize upgrading cards in the deck.
We've adjusted the logic for the appearance of the Reincarnation Stone, which will only appear in Chapters 1 and 2 to avoid its presence in Chapters 3 and 4 without being helpful.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where the Rose Golden Bell attached to already upgraded cards during combat would render the upgrade ineffective.
Fixed an English text bug when Master of Heave retreated in the Tang Monk's Heavenly Palace storyline.
Fixed the explanation of the evil state.
Fixed a bug that caused a companion resurrection failure due to Holy Monk’s Resurrection card.
Fixed an abnormality caused by choosing a relic when using the last played card.
We’ve been giddy with excitement for a long time now and we couldn’t wait to share the news with you guys! So, you guys remember that we promised to have the Japanese voiceover for the upcoming demo right?
Well, the time has come to finally announce the cast! We’re incredibly excited and super-grateful to all seiyuus who helped us bring our characters to life — especially as long-time fans of their work — and we hope you’re excited as we are!! 💗
INTRODUCING📢:
Fasaria (CV: Rie Kugimiya)
Of course, our little Grim Reaper could only be played by the Tsundere Queen Rie Kugimiya herself! We hope you’re as excited to be called a moron by the voice of Taiga Aisaka from Toradora! or Kagura from Gintama as we are! 😈
Ruby (CV: Uesaka Sumire)
As for our beloved little chaos gremlin Ruby, there could be no better fit than Uesaka Sumire! After all, no one is more proficient at sadistically bullying protagonists than Miss Nagatoro herself, and we can't wait for you to delight in her special blend of wholesome & unhinged!
Bellboy (CV: Ami Koshimizu)
Moving on to the Fleapit’s one and only tomboyish bartender! With the unstoppable energy of Ryuko Matoi from Kill la Kill and the energetic tenderness of Holo from Spice and Wolf, there’s no better match for Bellboy than Ami Koshimizu!
Sister June (CV: Sayaka Ohara)
You know that angels are supposed to have a powerful voice, right? Thankfully, Sister June has the one of Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail, Beatrice from Umineko, Margaret from Persona series. Known for voicing many iconic “motherly” figures, she masterfully brings mommy Sister June to life. Don’t worry, plenty of “ara-ara~energy” is included!
Keyla (CV: Shiori Izawa)
Usually Keyla prefers sleeping to… pretty much anything else, but if you manage to catch her awake, you’ll be treated to a cute voice of Shiori Izawa, also heard from Nanachi from Made in Abyss, Saya Sasamiya from The Asterisk War and Pochita from Chainsaw Man. Just make sure to grab a cup of coffee first!
Sally (CV: Yumi Hara)
Careful now, the Leader of the Circle of Hell: Lust took a liking to you! Don’t let the sweet (and mildly lewd) voice of Albedo from Overlord or Yuuko Kanoe from Dusk Maiden of Amnesia distract you from the dangers that come along with it. …unless you’re into that kind of thing, I guess?
Tyler (CV: Jun Fukuyama)
And finally, the most mysterious character of all Fleapit — a demonic talking tie. But don’t let the looks deceive you, just trust us that only the voice of Jun Fukuyama who previously voiced Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass and Joker from Persona 5 can capture his rebellious and enigmatic nature!
For now, that’s all we can share with you guys! But what we can share right now is that we’ve got a fair amount of characters we haven’t even revealed yet, so feel free to tell us about your favorite seiyus and maybe we’ll get them to voice some of the rest of our cast! 👀
We can’t wait for you to hear the full Japanese voiceovers when the Freaked Fleapit demo finally lands on Steam, so please stay tuned for more info on that! But that doesn’t mean we’re gonna leave you hanging! — Join our Discord and dont forget to follow our socials to catch some voiceover sneak peeks right now!
