Here we are!

After two years of development, the major stepping stones I set for the game to exit EA are now reached:

*You can now play the Northern Expedition scenario!
*You can now also play on your Linux and Mac computers.

I will push the publish button this evening around 6pm hour of Paris.

I am sure you will have a lot of fun with the game.
It offers deep and complete content, with a high replay value.

What I will be working on now?

I will work at a slower path for some weeks now, seeing friends and reading good books.
My next "big" project will certainly be made on Godot Egine, so I will take the time to get familiar with that engine.
I will probably make 1 or 2 small games with Godot to get used to it.
I am not sure what they will be about, but I already have some concepts and game titles I'd like to explore.
Would you play to a game called "Mad Men in Bunkers", or "Graal"?

When I feel confident enough with Godot, I will adapt Cold War 2 for PC.

What is planed for Rise of the White Sun?

The Chinese Community translation is still going on.
It is currently at 80% done, and the files are being reviewed for integration to the game.
As you know, chinese localisation may produce bugs for Chinese players, so, I will really take my time to limit the troubles.

I will take a month to slow down and ship only small patches and fixes.
Then I will try to make a nice content update.

These cheat codes were created for playtesting or bug reproducing purpose.
They should work fine in any normal game context, but strange unintended interactions may occure.

Power cheats

yollo: gives max resources to all your characters
约洛: same effects as "yollo"
megayollo:same as "yollo", but stronger
wearefamily: Maximum loyalty for your characters
tycoon: policies in all your districts progresses to 100%
biggun: fills your faction's armory with goodies. (what will you do with these 2000 armored trains?)
sepuku: selected own character dies of dyssentry (super useful to free a character's slot)

Shanghai

redsu: launches a Communist uprising in Shanghai
su: launches the Shanghai uprising with your faction
rsu: launches the Shanghai uprising with your faction, to reclaim the International concessions
resolvesu: resolves an ongoing Shanghai uprising
rfos: ends the Shanghai uprising with a victory for the uprising side
shanghaicarnage: ends the Shanghai uprising for the defending side
bluesu: a cheat code created to playtest the Shanghai massacre from a GMD point of view

lacavaleriearrive: The Bai Chongxi HQ appears on the Shanghai map (this is of no real use outside the Shanghai uprising scenario)

inthenavy: during the Shanghai uprising, transfer the gunboat to your side
trafalgars: during the Shanghai uprising, the gunboat leaves the battlefield
falluk: during the Shanghai uprising, destroyes imperialist units

showspots: makes the spots where units can move more visibles on the Shanghai map

myshanghai: Congratulations, Shanghai is yours now (to be used on the main China map)
unlockshanghai: unlocks the Shanghai map (not really useful for most of the factions)

Guangzhou - Hong Kong

bluecanton: transfers the control of Guangzhou to the Guomindang
chencanton: transfers the control of Guangzhou to Chen Jiongming
evacuatecanton: units in Guangzhou are ordered to retreat

oldsouth: replace the 1925 Guangzhou government by the 1920 government

hongkongstrike: the Hong Kong Strike Committee appears on the Guangzhou map
hkturbostrike: gets the Hong Kong strike on fast track
starthkstrike: triggers a dialogue with Borodin to start the strike. Will certainly produce strange effects with non relevant factions.

countcantonunit: will tell you how many units they are in Guangzhou (looking at the map should be quicker...)

angrylama: test for monks revolt all across Xikang

Beijing

punksinpekin: makes sure there is a police unit in Beijing and tests for local revolt
harosurpekin: some variation of the code above. Gives you control of Beijing garrison
whitepekin: Ungern will control Beijing (some events may fire twice, leading to strange effects)

Wuhan

wuhangov: replaces the Guangzhou government by the Wuhan government and turns most of Hubei as Guomindang territory

duanqirui: Duan Qirui joins you
choekyinyima: The Panchen Lama joins you
grigorisemenov: Some White Russian legendary bastard joins you
puyi: The last Qing Emperor joins you

Strange effects cheat codes

countchar: will tell you how many different characters there is in the game (counting even dead and inactive characters)
run!: the selected unit retreats
shenornothing: if Shen Hongying is in game, he creates his own faction. and you now play as him
coin1920: a lot of warlords AI in the 1920 scenario switch to a counter-insurgency stance
endgame: next turn will be the last turn
nearendgame: you will be 3 turns from the last turn
endgamesandbox: will advance you to the last turn but will then add 60 more turns (may break the game after 1928)
youdieofdisentery: Selected character is now sick
suicideispainless: Selected character is now depressed

they are more cheatcodes, but they are so oriented "debbug" that you won't be able to do anything useful with them.

Red Glare - Bilawal Talpur
Now characters can jump off structures like short towers and platforms where jump is possible. Now you can drop enemy deadbodies from places where you cant hide them like towers or roofs of buildings or containers...when you pickup the dead body an icon indicates that where you can drop enemy body. Check short gameplay of these features of my commandos like game Red Glare....

  • Fixed merchant sometime not arriving at all, when a single spaceport is blocked by other traders. E.g. this lead to a quest not being started in the Joma mission
