I'm working hard on incorporating all the feedback from the last round of alpha testing and I'm very excited to share all of the progress with the community. Sign ups for our next round of internal alpha testing are now available here.
Generally speaking I'll be accepting players on a first come first serve basis but I also will be looking for a variety of computer specifications. How many regions the alpha is available in will depend on player demand. I'm aiming to start the next alpha in late Q4.
I look forward to facing you all on the battlefield!
We're now a few weeks out from release, and, as explained before, we will be removing the demo from the store and merging it with the game content, meaning users who have not purchased the game will no longer be able to play the demo.
Why is that? The primary reason is that we only have one developer in charge of maintaining the code, on a two-person team, and maintaining two separate apps is a lot of work. We would prefer to merge them into a single app, that way we can make sure all bug-fixes and engine upgrades are up to date. Going forward we'd like to focus 100% of our resources on the game itself, and there's a long road ahead! We're already barely making our deadlines and need all the help we can get (┬┬﹏┬┬)
The demo will be taken down 24 hours before launch, on September 26th. The exact time will be around 4:20 PM PDT, but don't hold us to that - we've been known to be serially late to everything ; )
When you hover over the Demon and Mage, it is giving the image of the Council. I thought I got everything when I built the original 38, but. However, I have added a hover image that is reflective of this chapter.
Hi guys, this will be the last ever announcement for Rocky Mayhem. I've been working on the remake for the past 8 months with a couple friends ready for a steam re-release as a free to play title with procedural map generation, voice-acted cutscenes and more, however we have decided as a group not to release this due to the controversy with Unity within the game industry. We've chosen to stand with the affected game developers and stop using Unity in total, moving onto Unreal Engine.
Along with this movement, we've decided to end complete development on Rocky Mayhem and ditch the project entirely. While we would like to remove this game from the steam store, our publisher would most likely not be happy with this so the game will be left as is. Whether we release our total progress of the 8 months is to be seen with what Unity executives decide to do.
I'm sorry for the false promises of getting a remaster out for you all within the last 3 years, just turned out to set extremely unrealistic goals. However I am now part of a new dev team for an unreal engine space game, so who knows! Might see ya'll around someday.
