After a couple months of playtesting, bug fixing, and balancing on the public beta, the Art of Worm update is finally here!
This massive update includes:
- 8 New Worm Abilities - 10 Special Use Pardner Items (called Kit!) - A new building type - 3 New music tracks for the end game screens - Pardner Cosmetic save slots (and cloud saves!) - Accessibility options, QOL/Balance changes, and *tons* of bug fixes. (Including camera fixes!)
If you want the full breakdown of everything that's changed, check out the previous Steam announcements for the Public Beta Branch, as copying all of those patch notes here would be a bit overwhelming to read!
Additionally, there's now a "Guidebook" accessible in the "How to Play" and "Pause" menu which gives details on all of the mechanics, items, and abilities in the game. It's a great place to learn about the game, whether you're a new-comer or a veteran Wormtowner.
Thanks again to everyone who's been testing the public beta, your feedback has been invaluable!

This week we released a new game in the arcade, named Artifact Hunter:
-Head to desert of Egypt and join the excavation guild into an excavation adventure. -Hunt for lost artifacts hidden throughout the sand and gain reputation with the guild. -Unlock new tools to help you explore deeper into the desert. -Discover lost Ancient Relics and fight lost Evils.
We also added 2 new Legendary Towers to the Legendary Lucky Forge.
Our first tower, is the Legendary XP Cannon Tower:
-When this tower is placed, the experience dropped by the enemies is absorbed by the tower, filling up a gauge. -Once the tower gauge is full, punch it to unleash a devastating attack of 10x its damage in a large radius.
Our second tower, is the Legendary Shock Tower:
-Once set near the road, this Legendary tower will shoot lightning in a straight line, causing constant damage. -Place "Water Sprinklers" near its attacking range, create a powerful electrical blast, which can spread to other "Water Sprinklers" for additional damage.
-Unlock them by using your lucky coins at the Legendary Lucky Forge found in the Trophy Room.
This weeks challenge requires you to equip yourself with a shovel, find some dirt pits, and then dig them up to get an Egyptian vase. Bring back the vase to the wooden crate that will appear nearby the Weekly Challenge Table to progress on the challenge!
How it works: Unlock the Weekly Challenge table in the Star Milestone. Place it whenever you start a map and it will record your challenge progress while you play. You need to place it every time you start a map for it to record. Watch your numbers grow and make sure to complete the target score before Friday.

1. You have set your physical strength to recover when you switch to sitting mode. 2. Enemy bullet judgments now result in player damage when colliding with the player (traditional enemy bullet judgments are to be damaged when reaching the player's territory) 3. Improved weapon firing speed.
+ Additional information 1. Fixed a bug where the game mode does not change in the change mode of pause.
As promised, the demo has been updated to a new version containing new features, new additions to the story (including first dates with all three girls!) and more. This demo, from start to finish, should take about 30 minutes to complete, and nearly 2 hours of original content in total if you try different branching paths. Of course, progress made in the demo will be compatible with the full version upon release.
Note: The Unity splash screen shows up in this build due to the ongoing issues with the engine. This will not be present in the final game.
If you've been using an ultrawide monitor, you might have encountered a bug where the screen displays parts of the game or application that you're not supposed to see.
We have heard your feedback and are here with our "At Your Request Update".
This update is focused on handling the most common feature requests coming out of the launch of Early Access. Our community and their reactions and feedback are most important to us, so we wanted to work first and foremost on features we were seeing immediate interest in.
So what can you expect from this update?
Difficulty System Rework -
This will allow you to tailor your difficulty settings with precision. (featuring the new "Challenge Climb" mode)
We heard from many players the immediate desire for the game to be harder, but at the same time, we're seeing players new to the genre winning their first run in a relatively reasonable and expected amount of time (between 5 and 10 runs), so making the game harder by default wouldn't be wise. Instead, we've come up with a brand new system to escalate to a ludicrous (but beatable!) game difficulty over time. Additionally, we heard from more than a few players that the "pro/con" modifier system, even though they understood it kept the game balanced, just didn't feel as good as getting raw power followed by an opt-in difficulty. The two are now fully disconnected, though the game will still recommend a Difficulty setup based on your selected unlocked Run modifiers.
Ultrafast Mode -
This speeds up (and sometimes completely removes) various animations and aesthetics in order to expedite gameplay. Many of you had requested that, after becoming experienced enough with the game, the animations were getting in the way of your personal enjoyment. Now you can play at hyper speed! Note that this is not recommended for new players, or those with lower-end machines as it is slightly more demanding.
Polish - Optimized and rebuilt some expensive visual effects that were causing hitches and rare crashes. Added a new first-time window for brand new players, and more!
Bug Fixes - A host of fixes from gameplay fixes, UI issues and much more!
