It's been almost a week since the release of Chants of Sennaar, and we'd like to thank you for your warm welcome and all your messages. They touch our hearts!
Our goal was to provide players with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the mesmerizing soundtrack of the game. That's why we've put together a unique bundle, featuring the magnificent musical compositions by Thomas Brunet, the game itself, and a limited-edition numbered lithograph! You can secure your pre-order for this bundle right now!
📬 Mailbox Rummaging Mechanic: Explore mailboxes throughout the game's world for a chance at unexpected loot, laughs, or an eerie emptiness. Add a touch of mystery to your adventures!
🌡 Health and Energy Recovery: Hover over inventory items to see exactly how much Health and Energy you'll regain—no more guesswork!
🌽 Cornucopia Fragment Boss Drops: Boss loot has been rebalanced to offer a fair yet challenging gameplay experience.
💣 Nuclear Bomb Price: The cost of going nuclear has been adjusted to maintain in-game economic balance.
🔧 Crafting Recipes for Bombs: We've revamped the crafting recipes for all bombs, making them more intuitive and balanced.
🏺 Clay Inventory Item: Since it wasn't being used, this item has been removed from the game.
Main Quest continues to Chapter 4: Part 1! New Feature: Expand Cafetaria! Open a Small Room via Blueprint and a Large Room via Exclusive Store! New Food Vendor: Batagor! New Premium Feature: Bag Upgrade! New Toys! Bug fixes
There's now a basic inventory system functional in-game. Very old school and nothing complex - there's a few items you'll collect and need along the way so these are stored and can be recalled/used whenever you need them.
Reworked Exterior Snow Environment
The snow environment outside the warehouse was previously just a flat plane and skybox. it's now a full snow mountain landscape, with 5 square kilometers (3 miles) of gentle ridges and hills. Same vibe, just not as terribly executed. Who knows whats out there!

Plinketto Board Upgrades
The tapes on the Plinketto board can now be easily swapped with any others you find - just aim at an empty spot while holding a tape and press drop to smoothly glide it into place. Additionally, when you drop the ball the UI tells you what tape you landed on. No more needing to jump back down to see. I also fixed the music audio bug that would randomly occur when dropping the ball.
Speaking of picking up stuff - all items now smoothly teleport to the player instead of instantly snapping into place. Feels better.
New Props & Items!
JVC GR-C1 Camcorder Can't have a VHS mode without a VHS camera. While researching this camera I found examples of its onscreen typeface in the manual, so I recreated a version which you can download here. Of course this is also the in-game font used for the camera display. This is a hyper-faithful recreation of the real thing, famous for appearing in Back to the Future.
SB7 Spirit Box I think this is part of Mike's old ghost hunting equipment stash. It's basically a radio that rapidly cycles through stations. Spooky!

Somerset Lantern Another option for seeing in the dark. Free* copy of the game to anyone who knows what TV series you can find these lanterns in.

JANET VHS Tape A somewhat unusual tape has appeared. This one is an exact replica of a rare, real world item. Another free* copy of the game to anyone who knows what this is!
