The game developers experienced a lot of strange stuff during the making of the game, and conducted a proper investigation, including 24/7 surveillance and monitoring of trigger objects.
Hi everyone, I'm happy to announce the biggest update of the game yet! It will be released soon! It is called The royal missions, and it is the version 0.8 of the game.
The scenarios
The game currently has a just a tutorial and a survival mode. With this update, the game will have 4 new scenarios with different maps and goals! You will unlock them by successfully finishing a scenario. Each of the scenarios have a different setup (resources, buildings, ...). They also have special events and features! The 4 new scenarios are :
Peaceful city : An easy scenario for discovering the game
Librarian : A scenario where you need to get all artifacts of the game
Battleship : A scenario where you need to construct a battleship
Lighthouse hope : A scenario where you need to make a vaccine to stop the disease from spreading
One scenario will be added in a future update
I will present the battleship scenario with more details because it is a very interesting one!
Battleship scenario
In this scenario, you have 2 special resources : oil and steel sheets. Steel sheets can be obtained through a special version of the factory : the military factory. Steel sheets are very important because they are needed to construct the battleship! You will have 10 events (=steps of construction) to do in order to construct the battleship!
Oil can be obtained by unloading ships, some events or, through a special building : the oil well. Oil can be used for making steel sheets and most importantly for refueling the battleship when it has been constructed!
Once you constructed it, you will have the mighty battleship ready to sail!
Steam achievements
We are adding 40 achievements to the game! They are very diversified, for some you need to construct a building, for some you need to select a specific choice in events, etc... Some are unlocked just by playing /progressing in the game.
Two examples of achievements, so you can see the style (old stamps):
This is the "Business is business" achievement, to unlock it, you will need to sell a collection of artifacts.
This is the "Mechanical horses" achievement, to unlock it you will need to upgrade from horses to cars.
New events
Along with this, we have added new events and updated the event system. Now, events can have a condition in order to be able to spawn. It allows having events for certain seasons or having events that can happen only if you have a certain technology/building/upgrade.
For example:
This new event, "Shark attack", can spawn only when you have the "Coastal sea fishing" technology and the fishing dock constructed.
Balancing
We always had trouble balancing the game, and by adding new features at each big updates it has become even more difficult over the time. In this update, we reworked the difficulty system and how the difficulty increase over time during a game. Now, it will be easier for us to change this and maybe find the perfect values.
Along with this, we did change a few things:
The city consumption at the start of the game is lowered and increase over time. Making the start of the game easier
Events were rebalanced
The increase of difficulty over time has been updated for events too, making them less extreme and at the start of the game and after 1 year
The boat infection probability has been change to make it less punitive. Ships with 30% chance of infection have now in fact 20% chance (so it is less frustrating for the player). But if you have 60% it will still be 60%.

Changed slightly, the money gain when deliver a city with few people
Change city storage a bit
Updated the system for food conservation, making that the conservation range doesn't increase with fridge upgrades.
Used the new conditions for events to make some events happening only when player can handle them.
And more
We added a new building: the security box. It is available in all scenarios, it improves your fighting capabilities (in events involving combat, i.e. fewer people will die). It also blocks the "thief" event from happening (you need to have a guard, not just the building). Furthermore, it also allows having "combat training" event.
We added the possibility of sending resources to other cities. It allows getting more money and getting money even when the city storage is full.
We improved visual feedbacks for buildings producing resources. We fixed texts and make some clearer, for example the description of the archeology technology now tell for what artifact can be used for. We also fixed a lot of bugs.

Change List: 1. There are now visual cues on your Champion when there are upgradable moves available. 2. Dropped the difficulty of the normal mode, reduced the HP of early game elites. 3. Gray Runes can now be crafted directly, instead of having to take it off the move first. 4. Stun and Resist Runes can now be used by Sword users. 5. The Rune panel will be closed when you transform your move, to avoid confusion.
Fixed some bugs.
This patch is mostly QoL. I'll be making significant changes to difficulty options in the next update, which is gonna take 1-2 weeks. There won't be any small daily changes in the meantime.

UPDATE: Task info panel moved to the right edge of the screen when contract focus view is shown
FIX: Actual train visits of trial train were displayed with seconds truncated instead of rounded up to the next minute causing inconsistency as 2-minutes stops were displayed for prototype train but only 1-minute stops for contract schedule
FIX: OfferedContract upgrade was locked in the free version of Rail Route Story of Jozic even though Jozic asks you to unlock it
FIX: Penalties for delays in intermediary stops (that are not deducted) were accounted to Cycle Balance
FIX: Penalties for delays were not accounted to Penalties in Cycle Balance but lowered the Rewards
FIX: Some path-related interactions did not work on Coach Yard (candidate path highlight & allocated path deallocation)
FIX: Station info panel would quickly appear and disappear when hovering mouse above station sign
FIX: System upgrade menu and build mode button obstructed info panels in contract focus view
FIX: Trial train schedule was shifted by 2 minutes instead of one when modifying contract schedule after contract was accepted but before trial train's waiting icon was displayed

Feature Optimizations
Game difficulty adjustment: We’ve added in a new “Normal” difficulty which will ensure a smoother gaming experience. “Normal” difficulty has been renamed to “Hard” difficulty. ”Hard” difficulty has been renamed to “Hell” difficulty,
Added a new mode for players who have completed the game to replay previous reverse tower defense levels.
New phone dialogues have been added for Aoi, Ema, and Hina, further enriching their storylines.
Improved the Witch Card Shop introduction: Detailed explanations of the witch cards have been added.
When interacting with street demons, players will now have the option to fight the demon through a secondary confirmation button instead of jumping straight into battle.
Optimized the visual effect when the Witch Card's hand cooldown is complete.
Optimized the name of some checkpoints in levels to allow the player to easily understand which checkpoint they require.
Optimized the position and order of the player’s Witch Card team at checkpoints.
Increased the probability of triggering the positive effects of the Wheel of Fate. After triggering a negative effect, the next one will definitely be a positive effect.
Remove the "Work Till You Die" and "Desensitization Therapy" achievements.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a potential issue in the final boss stage on easy difficulty that could prevent a player’s completion.
Fixed a glitch in the third segment of the police side plot where making the wrong coffee could freeze the game.
Fixed some errors in conversational text and mobile phone news text.
Fixed the issue where tasks from the previous round did not disappear in the second round.
Fixed the occasional disappearance of the map, backpack, and phone buttons.
Fixed the issue where the memory effects did not disappear after reading a memory.
Fixed an issue where the selection state of the first character would change when pressing 'F' to add points.
Players will not be able to switch to other cards during the Witch card upgrade tutorial, the only option is to upgrade the Strength card.
