Update #1 is now live on Steam and available for Alpha Testers. There is a game changing feature that was added. Crystal tiles are now have variable values and are worth 1, 2, or 3 crystals per turn. Visually, this can be discerned by the differences in the tiles.

The 1.0.2 release of Paladin's Passage is now available for all platforms, fixing the following issues: - Switched Steam Deck and Apple Silicon GPU builds to use Temporal AA Upsampling for better performance. Unfortunately, FSR 2 doesn't work on Steam Deck with UE 5.2. - When closing the Steam Overlay with Escape/Back button, in-game menus no longer close. - Spawned skull enemies no longer intermittently get stuck. - Removed mouse settings from UI. - Fixed issues with Community involvement and Popularity achievements not working. - Cleaned up some extra items in level editor palette. - Disabled erroneous achievement for unlocking chapter 1. - Updated scoring for collecting fairies (or fairy).

Time Survivors: Prologue marked the initial free release of our game. It offered a limited selection of characters and features, and it won't receive further updates. It's likely being removed from Steam in the future.
Time Survivors: Chapter 0 is the evolution of our free game, inspired by the invaluable feedback from our players who experienced the "Prologue". We've diligently worked to implement significant enhancements, introducing fresh gameplay mechanics. These include unique activable abilities for our historical heroes and a skill-tree meta progression system, allowing you to unlock and refine various gameplay elements.
Time Survivors represents the full game. A free demo will be available at the end of September, and it will be featured at the Steam Next Fest in October. The official launch is scheduled by the end of 2023 and promises a wealth of additional content compared to "Chapter 0". Expect more stages, historical characters with distinctive abilities, items, weapons, and much more.

I know it has been a *while* since the last Devlog Update, but rest assured, that does not mean we haven't been working hard at developing the game! In fact, it has been the exact opposite of that--we have been ramping up production as we gear toward the encroaching launch of our Kickstarter campaign!
Here are some new features added since our last update:
VASTLY IMPROVED ENVIRONMENTAL ART & DESIGN
The game does not look as "bland" and "same-y" as it once did
Lots of environmental assets added and incorporated such as pathways, grass, rocks, flowers, trees, crates (cover), etc.
Various level design improvements
NEW ENEMY TYPE: ARMORED ENEMY
Base enemies now have a chance to spawn in as an armored variant
Armored enemies are resistant to normal bullets and require explosives or high-powered shots to take them down efficiently
Adds more variety and strategy to combat
INCREASED OVERALL GAME DIFFICULTY
After much feedback from people wishing for a bit more challenge from the game's combat, the game is now more difficult for those *looking* for a challenge
There are still modes and features in the game that make it easier for those who do not care or want a challenging experience

MAIN STORY AND SIDE QUESTS IMPLEMENTED
Kittens with Cannons is primarily an action-RPG which means the game's narrative will play a heavy role in the overall experience
Side quests will feature unique characters and storylines and *will not* be made with any less effort than the main quests. This means we intend for *all* quests to be meaningful in their creation and implementation. Quests are not meant to feel like chores or tedious fetch-quests to grind levels.
Side quests are completely optional but we encourage you to play them as they grant more rewards and more fun stories!
