Hi everyone! I've got a small but useful update for you this week as a follow up to last week's performance update! Introducing the Line of Sight visualiser!
When units are selected you can now see their line of sight. Hopefully this will provide more insight into what each unit can see and what they are thinking, although there is a lot more information that goes into the decisions the units make than simply line of sight!
Thanks for playing and I hope you enjoy the update!
August was a busy month for War Robots: Frontiers, and you came out in force to join in with community events! Check out what happened in August, and a glimpse of what’s to come in September.
The Lace’s League Results
The Lace is Tortuga’s most infamous mechanic and Robot reseller. His League is designed for one purpose, and one purpose only: to celebrate the deadliest pilots in the Wild Ten!
We challenged our Pilots to defeat as many opponents as you could from August 7-31, and you came out in force. Check out the winners (and what they had to say of their victory) below:
HectorGamingYT (First Place: 17,410 Kills)
“The tips and tricks I used were self-taught and I had formed strategies way beyond my thinking just to get in that top three position. [One of these tips is to] activate Titans as early as possible and focus on using close-range-weapons and abilities to maximise the amount of kills per battle.” HectorGamingYT receives 20,000,000 Alloys for his efforts!
haleKteraz (Second Place: 12,323 Kills)
“I don't have any particular advice to give other than to play, play, and play again.” haleKteraz goes home with 10,000,000 Alloys!
Sylver943 (Third Place: 2,018 Kills)
“My advice is: persevere and stay on the ball. Defeats and lots of exercises will help you progress. Defeats can also be a victory against yourself.”
Sylver943 grabs 5,000,000 Alloys!

Development Insights
We regularly share some of the concepts and tweaks we are working on via our Discord, to give players a sneak peek into the development process. A few of the things we shared in August include:
The development team are currently testing various weathering styles (including rust, ice, sand, metal etching, and more) that will be dynamically applied to your Robots based on the map weather conditions.
Be sure to join our Discord to see all of these updates first. Thanks for playing, Pilots!

September has arrived in the World of Assassination with Featured Contracts, Elusive Targets and two new challenges that reward brand new suits – both inspired by events of the HITMAN 3 campaign!
Let’s take a closer look at what’s to come this month in HITMAN World of Assassination.
We have just uploaded a minor update to fix a couple of bugs and introduce a couple of new features.
* New feature: We have improved the usability of the Combat Ticker by adding additional options.
There are now two dropdowns available on the Adventure Rules Dialog that enable you to show or hide the ticker for the player and the AI. Note that all ticker functions are only available when the Combat Accuracy rule is turned on.
In the image below, you can see the ticker displayed during the AI turn (1).
This example shows the ticker in Manual mode for the AI. You must click the 'check mark' (2) to continue the AI's turn. This allows you to study the information about the AI unit's attack. If the ticker is in Auto mode for the AI, the information will only display until the next AI action overwrites it.
Clicking the Ticker Log button (3) will display the following dialog.
This will show you the history of all recent Melee and Ranged attacks for the last few turns (in reverse order).
* New feature: Potions are now more powerful (potent). Previously the spell stored within the potion, for example Cure Serious Wounds, would affect the character as if cast by a level 1 spellcaster.
Now Cantrip and Level 1 spell potions will be cast as if by a level 2 spellcaster. All other spell levels are treated as if a spellcaster was at the minimum level required to cast that spell.
For example, the aforementioned Cure Serious Wounds is a level 4 spell. It requires a spellcaster of level 7 to normally cast this. Thus when a character drinks a Potion of Cure Serious Wounds, the contents will be applied as if a level 7 character had cast it upon the consumer (i.e. the potion will heal a lot more hit points than it did before).
* Bug Fixes: We have fixed a number of minor issues that could have manifested after the 'missing door' bug fixed in V1.002.
* Bug: Fixed an issue that could occur in the cavern at Farnan Keep.
* Interface: Fixed a number of spelling and grammatical errors.
We hope that you do not encounter any issues with the update. Please let us know if you discover any problems.
This is our biggest update yet, and the first to introduce a new map and scenario! Rather than carrying passengers to and from work, this time you will haul cargo across the Santa Maria desert. We changed a lot about Iron Roads when adding cargo, so we'd love to hear how you get on as we will be iterating on this scenario with feedback! Screenshots of late game layouts would be particularly useful as we have changed the size of this map a few times during development, and we want to see how it is working out
Graphs and statistics were a common request in #feature-voting, and in this update you'll see the new graphs mode at the bottom of the screen. Our favourite tasks with Iron Roads tend to be optimisation type tasks, and graphs help visualise progress with those. Again we'll be iterating on these, so let us know your thoughts
Other than that, there are the many enhancements and bugfixes
We've moved the tutorial elements of Forgotten Valley to the tutorial itself, and we've reworked Forgotten Valley's tasks. The infamously unpopular 1* waiting passengers task is gone, and been replaced with a longer, more graduated, series of tasks
We've rotated out Horseshoe Isle as we can't put everything in the demo! It will return in revised form for Early Access. We plan to continue rotating scenarios like this during development
We worked a lot on performance, so you should now be able to run more trains, on larger maps. Thanks a lot to all who sent save games for our debugging
We've greatly expanded the tutorial
We fixed an issue where trains would route improperly over crossroads
We added a button to max out train length on the buy screen
We fixed more bugs with zooming than I am comfortable admitting to!
The task button is badged now when it is hidden and there are completed tasks to be collected
We fixed a bug where it wouldn't allow you to set orders on a track when waypoints were selected in the construction menu
We fixed a bug where you wouldn't be fully refunded when selling a bridge or tunnel
We fixed the menu button so that it closes the menu when open
We fixed an issue reported the wrong tooltip would show in some cases
