Dear lords,

To make sure the stability of the game operation and to improve the service quality and experience, Blood of Steel will update from 1:00 to 5:00 on September 7, 2023, UTC. The game world will be closed at that time.

We will close the game match and the login entrance at around 00:45. The account database will be under additional maintenance and backup to ensure the stable and smooth operation of the servers!
It does not rule out the possibility of opening ahead of schedule or delayed due to specific conditions. Please arrange your time reasonably.

1. Fixed the bug that Alexander could not raise the shield when using a one-handed sword on a horse
2. Fixed the bug that Godfrey's HP will be abnormal when using the skill [Zeal] under special circumstances;

I want to preface this by saying we are always listening to the community. We have for the last 4 years, and that itself won't change.

We've been reading all the feedback on various platforms since the release of v1.2 and have re-evaluated some of the changes we made to the Township Trader boxes.

This update aims to add more Tasks to the base game, bring back Herbs to Herb boxes, and slightly reduce the amount of Tasks required to obtain T2/3 Boxes (allowing you to skip many more tasks you don't enjoy).

The Task requirements themselves will remain, as it is an important requirement to balance the power of the boxes.

We appreciate the feedback we have received on this matter, and will continue to monitor it over the coming days/weeks.

New

• Added 10 new Tasks to the base game, 2 per difficulty up to Elite, increasing the total amount of Tasks available in the base game to 110.

Township Trader Boxes

• Reminder that there is now a total of 110 tasks in the Base game, up from 100.
  
• Tier 2 Boxes now require 85 Task completions out of 110 total Tasks available to you in the Base Game, down from 95 out of 100 available Tasks.
  
• [TotH only] Tier 3 Boxes now require 110 Task completions out of 130 total Tasks available to you with Throne of the Herald, down from 115 out of 120 available Tasks.

Herb (Seed) Box
We've heard your feedback regarding Herb boxes and how the new requirements were too harsh for a box of seeds. We're changing this box back to Herbs now that it has the task completion requirements.

• Herb Boxes now provide Herbs again instead of Seeds, up to 75 per box.

Fixed

• Fixed an issue where the building repair cost modifiers were not applying correctly during certain seasons, causing 100% reduced repair cost.

Revise
1. The following dropped items are changed to drop corresponding treasure chests

Commanders!

As you know, we have recently released the AbramsX Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank and while the machine was very well received, the launch didn’t go as smoothly as we’d have liked. Most issues have since been addressed but one of the matters left to resolve is that of the autocannon behavior.



Simply put, right now, the autocannon generally fires using the main gun’s reticle. Its shells are flying from the autocannon’s barrel but due to the limitations of the engine, it’s possible to aim the reticle below the autocannon’s maximum depression (since the reticle follows the main gun) and when that happens (typically at short distances), the shells “bend” and start flying below the autocannon barrel axis. This leads to an effect where the tank is standing behind an obstacle with just the autocannon peeking out but the shells hit the obstacle even though they should definitely fly over it.



To fix this problem, we have devised a new aiming system where switching to the autocannon makes a new reticle appear above the standard one.





On one hand, this will make switching between the autocannon and the main gun a bit harder because you will need to re-align your shots. On the other hand, this will give the tank the ability to fire over obstacles with most of its hull and turret safely in cover, which was something that was promised at its launch. You can see a demonstration of the system below.







But this isn’t the final iteration of the system. Remote-controlled weapon stations are appearing on more and more vehicles and we’d like to introduce this mechanic properly. That is why we are currently working on a system where, in the future, “mini-turrets” such as the AbramsX’s one will work independently on the main turret and will effectively add as a second turret.
