You can change Karryn's Karryns anytime you want in the ingame settings under Cosmetics and you have the option between H Cup (Big) and K Cup (huge)ːgoblinInmateː

To celebrate, we are also having an end of summer sale for all our titles for a week!! ːkarrynFanː

And as a reminder, the H Cup update is free and on the house, you don't have to do anything other than letting Steam update the game! Try it out and who knows, maybe you'll find that Karryn is still lovely no matter whether she is sporting H cups or K cups ːtonkinBulliedː

Many of you have reported issues with the user list in lobby drawing. The latest update from 29 August addresses these issue as follows:
  • The contributor list is now scrollable
  • Disconnected players are now reformatted so you can recognize them more easily
  • Disconnected players’ names are now shown correctly to players who joined later
These changes allow players to hide other players’ lines more easily from their personal views. Friendly reminder: If you do not want to share the drawing space with others at all, you can always move to the single lobby drawing tab.

What's New?
I am mainly finalizing the content of the full game, but in this update quite a bit has changed in the demo as well.

Venom:
I think the biggest gameplay change is with venom. If you are attacked by a venomous enemy, you will still receive damage like before, however now that damage will stop after a while. The damage you take from venom is different than regular, physical damage, so it will permanently lower your maximum health until you find the right antidote. This last bit has not actually changed in terms of the game's mechanics, however a new visual element has been added to show this health drain as seen in this screenshot...



I hope this serves to make fighting venomous enemies somewhat less tedious, while keeping some of the intended tension.

Blocking Venom:
Related but different, I had always intended for venom to only effect the player if they failed to block an attack. However, after reviewing my script, it turned out that only blocking with a shield would prevent the player from getting envenomed. Now any kind of successful block will prevent this. There is still only a chance of getting envenomed even if you are hit. And this chance can be reduced further by increasing your stamina, and through fasting in Ramadan, once you reach that point in the story.

Bow and Arrow:
This will most likely not appear in the demo, as it is a higher level weapon, but for the beta testers this will be a game changer. A bow and arrow has been added to the game for fighting enemies at a distance. Arrows are limited in quantity so you may find it prudent to save them for the more dangerous adversaries.



Options Menu and More:
A new, in-game, options menu has been added so you no longer have to open the config file to change your preferences.



New music has been added to the game. Some of the prayer timings and moon phases have been updated to be more realistic (though the game does not claim to be scientifically accurate). Some new environmental sounds and effects have been added, like seagulls and splashes when fishing.

Lot's of Bug Fixes:
A lot of players also provided valuable feedback, and many bugs were tracked down and fixed.

  • Torches burned out while the game was paused
  • Missing geometry on some levels
  • Item name would revert to "club" when unequipped
  • It was possible to lose the money spent on a boat ticket if you exited the dialogue prematurely
  • Some quest characters remained incorrectly active after the quest was completed
  • Some footstep sound effects were wrong on certain surfaces
  • Fasting would start outside of Ramadan
  • and more...

Hi everyone!

How were you these last few months? I had to endure a hellish July and a muggy August, but it's been going alright overall other than some health hijinks as usual.

My original plan was to release chapter 5 in September. That might have been optimistic, but nothing could have prepared me for how incredibly cursed the recording for chapter 5 would be.

I'm not talking cursed as in painful memes and laughing. I'm talking car accidents, near-death events, general sickness, people quitting voice acting, a hurricane, having to rerecord several parts because of recording mishaps... to the point that it still is not yet complete (there is very little left, but it is not complete despite having scheduled all recordings to be complete before July)

So yeah. If I can have at least all the audio ready this month, that'll be a victory. Then that will only leave my greatest enemy: scripting all the animation and each single scene.

Which will then leave my other greatest enemy: making all the necessary art.

Please wish me luck. My new self-imposed deadline would be 8th December 2023, my birthday. I don't have all the confidence in the world I'm going to get the game out before I turn 28, but I'll try.
