We're almost at the finish line! Hellsweeper VR will be dropping in about three more weeks. It has been one hell of a long road and we simply cannot wait for everyone to experience everything the game has to offer.
Just last week, we released our co-op trailer, a mode that allows you to band together with a friend to descend into Hell. Today, we'd like to dive deeper into the game's co-op mechanics.

What can you do in co-op mode?
Apart from the primary objective - annihilating Hell's twisted souls together - we've compiled an FAQ list from questions posed by our cherished community on Discord. We believe this will help you get a better grasp of the co-op mechanics and the fun features we've integrated:
Q: Can I play Hellsweeper VR with my friends if they’re using another device? A: We are aiming for crossplay across PCVR, Quest 2 and PSVR2.
Q: Will my teammate and I be presented with the same blessings, weapons, and boons?A: No, each player is assigned distinctive blessings and boons to promote strategy and teamwork.
Q: Can I use or borrow my friend's weapons during gameplay?A: Absolutely! Friends can borrow each other's weapons, like guns or swords. The weapon's level depends on the wielder's own progression, but the weapon's traits remain consistent. However, if a weapon requires bullets, you can't manually reload it unless you've equipped that specific skill.
Q: Can I combine my magic with my ally during gameplay?A: Yes! For instance, if you're wielding a Volt ball and your friend has a fireball, you can combine them to produce powerful effects, like lasers. Collaboration can lead to some electrifying results!
Q: Can I infuse my friend’s weapons with magic?A: Yes! Players can infuse each other's weapons with elemental magic. This means one player can focus on a full magic build, while the other hones in on weapon expertise. You can see this in action on our devlog video.
Q: Is there an option to reload a friend's gun?A: If both players have equipped the reloading skill, they can indeed reload each other's guns. Though not the most efficient method, it's a fun tactic to try out!
Q: How does "bullet time" work in co-op?A: It's similar to how it works in our first game Sairento VR. Activating bullet time in co-op only affects the enemies within the bullet time bubble.
Q: Most importantly… can I pet my friend’s Hellhound?A: Players can definitely pet an ally's hellhound. But be aware, the hellhound stays loyal and only obeys its original owner, the one who equipped it during skill selection.
Accessibility and Options
To ensure everyone can customize all settings to their comfort, Hellsweeper VR offers a wide range of accessibility options ranging from rotation, somersault speed and even tunelling.
All options are saved in your individual settings so all players are able to experience the game within their own comfort levels. Don't forget to set these up on your first startup!
VR will not be limited to the platform your friend plays.
So are ready to team up and go through Hell together?
Before we dive into the exciting new features and improvements, we'd like to share a small change to our release strategy.
Starting today, we will be rolling out BETA versions of our game first, followed by the regular update 1-2 weeks later. If you're interested in participating as a beta user, simply head over to your Steam library, click the cog wheel, select "Properties" > "Betas" and choose "public-beta" from the drop-down menu.
PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT post HottieCars made with the Beta version to our Discord due to possible incompatibilities. Thanks!
If you prefer to wait for the regular update, there's no need to do anything but sit tight, as it will be coming soon.
But now let’s talk about the new features and improvements!
So we decided to add a brand new top Quality Level called "Insane“. The most obvious upgrade in this new level is the new hair shader, which allows for more realistic blonde hair, enhanced detail, and an overall better visual experience. We've also thrown in five new hairstyles for you to enjoy.
We understand that the BJ interactions have been a bit tricky in the past. The Hottie's head will now aim for your virtual penis, making interactions a lot easier and more intuitive. We've also made improvements to the collision system during BJs, ensuring a smoother experience.
Intercourse in Desktop Mode has also been made easier with the introduction of a selectable target in the Interaction Menu. By pressing „R“ you are also able to cum now!
If you like creating Hotties, you will love the new sliders we implemented for shoulders, arms, chest, feet and neck, allowing for even more customization options.
As always, we've made numerous smaller and larger improvements across the board. From DLSS to the HottieCard resolution and stability of your player body, we've worked hard to enhance your gaming experience.

The entrance to Ethereal Haven's Abyssal Workshop will now always be open.
To remove interruptions from the Akasch Invasion content, the open/close feature has been removed for the entrance to the Abyssal Workshop. The door will remain opened.
We will continue to make improvements to reduce issues that interrupt others from enjoying the game.
The Health Lift skill will now always apply to the caster.
The Health Lift skill for Auramancy applied randomly to 20 friendly targets (including the caster). Due to its random nature, it did not always apply to the caster. After receiving feedback about this, we're changing it so that the skill always applies to the caster, and then applies randomly to the remaining 19 other targets.
Bug Fixes
Fixed the issue where you could not accept the "Stop the Void Corps Boss" quest when in a "Weak" status.
Fixed the issue where it would appear as if Skill Stack for Songcraft would continue to remain active when hit by the Witchcraft's "Stillness" skill.
Witchcraft's "Stillness" skill removes all music effects, and also affects Songcraft's Skill Stack.

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been gone for so long. I recently went on vacation, came back, had to renew my residency, bought an apartment, moved in, and have been trying to get the internet hooked up. I think things are finally in place now. I just need to find some time to develop the game between power outages. Today's patch is very small, but symbolically it's a big deal for me, after over a month of hurdles and roadblocks.
In today's patch, we added the following:
Fixed conditions to target allies by name and by character class.
Added functionality for resource nodes. Very soon we'll start adding mining and herbalism to the game.
