Hi everyone! Just posting this as a quick reminder in case you missed our July Progress Update. We’re running a Fraymakers booth at PAX West from September 1-4 (that’s next week!). Our PAX West build will include a pre-release version of our next character, Ultra Fishbunjin 3000 from Slap City! We’ve been making a ton of progress and we can’t wait for you to try him out. We don’t have an exact date for when he’ll be fully released, but we should be able to get your more info once we’ve gotten player feedback and had a chance to recoup from PAX West.
Fixed respawn on Icelands that could get a player stuck
Fixed bug with lighting attacks that would continue to damage prior hit enemies, while continuing to channel, but not no longer hitting them.
Increased Magnus bosses' health by 1/3rd
Fixed Obsidian boss pathing updates to *hopefully* prevent terrain clipping deaths.
Updated portal spawning condition to only verify living players have upgrades. This will prevent a run from getting stuck in the rare scenario a player is dead and is not in a spot that can be revived.
Fixed 'guiding arrows' current binding from not populating in options menu.
The time is nigh! After a long, arduous period; with much anxiety, we at Chiaroscuro are announcing our KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN!
Our Kickstarter offers a lot of great goodies for our supporters, including a discount on the game, and greater discounts on whatever content the game provides in the future. Furthermore, we have rewards for the digital release of art books, soundtracks -- and a physical reward consisting of the actual game's design pages (This is a big deal since the entire game's sprite work is drawn on paper with pencil).
In other news, we've released Version 0.6 for the demo! This features a fair amount of small bug fixes, but the pièce de résistance is our new SPEEDRUN MODE
The speedrun mode can be toggled via the pause menu at any time, we recommend toggling it at the start of a game, signifying a run. The mode toggles an in-game timer, and there's a "reset" option which quickly restarts your game progress to reset a run.

FIXES In this version there will be no fixes because we are focusing on refining and optimizing the last details for the official release.
This is mostly a balance related patch. Here's a list of changes that we managed to remember (there's probably more):
Rerolling sidearm now properly produces random sidearm
When you run out of items to unlock in the Hub, they should be replaced by purchasable items for your run. This was supposed to be fixed in 1.0.5, but we missed one important issue and it was still broken. Hopefully finally works as intended.
Fixed some endless money exploits.
Slightly increased the difficulty of universes 5 and 6, changed the parameters on universe 5.
Nerfed some OP meta upgrades and items.
Significantly increased the difficulty of most Fury stages.
Fixed some rare bugs where items would disappear from inventory.
