We're thrilled to share fantastic news with you all. After years of hard work and dedication, we're excited to announce the official release date for SPELL DISK on Steam!
Barring any unforeseen issues, our game is set to release on September 18th, 2023.
However, we're launching the game as an Early Access title. We initially aimed to finalize the game by the third quarter of 2023, but we realized that we need some additional work to achieve the level of quality we envision. We appreciate your valuable feedback from the demo version and Spell Disk Survivor.
A comprehensive roadmap for future updates will be posted around the release date.

I wish this was an update saying I'm near to finishing Emplacement but sadly for loads of different little reasons I haven't made as much progress as I had wished for. I've been considering early access but making it really cheap then just slowly adding features I want in.
I would rather avoid that though.
Anyway ignoring the above. I have made a decent amount of progress considering. I have implemented better progression into the game, unlocks, and upgrades. I need to still implemented feature to avoid the feel of wasting the players time but it's been easier said than done atm.
Steam Strategy Fest starts soon! Which is really exciting, disappointed I wasn't able to update the demo with some of the above but... it is what it is! I will have more content soon! Thanks to everyone who has been wish listing and keeping an eye out, really appreciate it.

Fixed Workshop capability not showing a number. Fixed being able to take off your outwear if you're not wearing anything underneath. Fixed some typos and smaller bugs. Thanks for the reports.
With the v.244 update, currently scheduled for August 30, we will be making changes to the way buffs interact with character death. Instead of removing any active buffs from characters upon death, characters will now have their buffs persist without the use of a Buff Freezer.
[With this upcoming change, we would like to inform you that Buff Freezers, Cash Shop items which currently protect the player from losing their buffs upon death, will be removed from sale during the Cash Shop Update on August 23, 2023, and any Buff Freezers purchased before the removal date will naturally expire before the v.244 update. In addition to this, [b]Buff Freezers[/b] will not appear in the current run of Marvel Machine and any unused Buff Freezer Marvel Machine coupons will be disabled.
We hope that this change to death penalties and Buff Freezers will make for a better MapleStory experience going forward.
Today's update is on the quicker side: The gist of it is that we're making a lot of progress on the map and can probably start filming for our new trailer soon.
Our playtesters have started playing the map - currently some have difficulties with the raised terrain, but we're hoping to improve that before release. In general, it does look much better than our old map.

We're gathering as many people as we can tonight for a quick stress test, servers will be available in the meantime if you want to get comfortable with the game. The official time to start is 7PM EST, 12AM UK, we are expected to have at least +30 to show up for this one thanks to a couple fellows.

Some bugs to be aware of:
If taking enough velocity damage to cause a knockout, player won't take damage, more often falling through the landscape at high speeds
First mortar shell to hit will cause a momentarily frame drop
Slide chaining multiple times too quickly may show incorrectly due to ping
Some players may have nonexistent climbing animations
Your mortar may be breaking the space time continuum, this is normal
Overall may have a crash here and there, please send your crash reports!

1. Go to: steamapps\common\MORTARMEN Playtest\MortarMen\Saved\Logs\ 2. Zip up MortarMen.log.txt and open the zip off to the side 3. Go back to \Saved\Crashes\ 4. Drag and drop your crash folder (such as UE4CC-Windows-####) into the zip folder 5. Submit in Discord in #bugreports
