Primal Carnage: Extinction - dinosauriac
A new patch is now available for Primal Carnage: Extinction on Steam.


This patch primarily addresses an exploit with the compound bow that would make it fire like a minigun.
We fixed this ASAP as it also allowed scientists to continue firing while pounced or being eaten.

In addition to the bow fixes, we resolved a long-standing problem with default loadout availability. If you are unable to connect to the economy servers, you will now still have access to the entire default inventory instead of only a handful of items.

Previously, if you weren't fully connected you'd be unable to use alternate weapons at all. With this patch you can at least still use the complete arsenal even if your customizations are not there.

Patch 2.9.32 Changelog:
  • Fixed being unable to use all of the default items when not connected to economy
  • Fixed an exploit that could cause the bow to fire at ludicrous speed
  • Fixed the Prime Cerato skin being missing from the customization list in-game
  • Fixed the Battleburned Tupa skin having fibers
We're working on a bunch more quality of life fixes such as these for future patches, in addition to a bigger rewrite of server connectivity that should roll out later this autumn. Thanks for playing!

Small Kingdoms Prologue - Bad Logic
Hello everyone,

Just a quick announcement to say we've added German and Simplified Chinese translations added to Small Kingdoms Prologue which will of course carry over to the full game

We will be looking to add more translations over the next several weeks

The languages we'll be adding include French, Spanish and Italian

We look forward to sharing the Small Kingdoms Prologue with everyone soon and adding more translations means more people can enjoy the game

GRIME 2 Features:

Molds- Absorb defeated enemies, shaping them into molds which can then be used for special attacks.
Use molds to throw enemies, fire projectiles, stun, and even turn into summons.

Environmental Combat - Wherever you go, the environment provides ample opportunities to damage enemies nearby or from a distance. Be wary, for they can do the same to you!



Parry and Grasp - Send hand-tendrils to either parry enemy attacks or grasp and absorb them, drawing you closer to learning their shape.

A Lived-in World - Discover incredible locations made of painted nails and giant vases, each with its own unique civilization, culture, and deep characters to converse with.







And lastly... Updates on our last GRIME DLC, and the Switch port -
So, first of all, we're deeply sorry for the long stretch of silence on the matter of the Switch port. We don't take for granted any of you that have patiently been waiting for so long.

We always believed it is better to hold on and keep chiseling at the port rather than rush it out a technical mess. No matter how long that took.

It has been a lot, and I mean A LOT of work to get the port to where it is now, but we are finally getting ready for launch.

As for the last DLC, we are currently aiming to launch it alongside the Switch port, so expect some more news regarding an exact release date very, very soon.

Graphics have been significantly upgraded. The game now contains better lights and shadows, volumetric lights and fog, weather effects, new shaders, and more!

PATCH NOTES
  • Graphics overhaul.
  • Improvements to ghost AI pathfinding.
  • The doors fade away when moving close to them as a ghost.
  • Improvements to blood FX.
  • Light and shadow tweaks.
  • Changed the visual effect of the ghost spawnpoint (visible only as a ghost).
  • Added rain and lightning.
  • Added volumetric lights/fog.

BUG FIXES
  • Manifestation for the ghost AI should now work.
  • Fixed some hitbox issues in the garage.

This is a super small hotfix with a single change, a hotfix for the crash related to signs when joining a Dedicated Server, This does not fix Signs not displaying properly for Clients so keep that in mind, we will fix that as soon as possible sometime early next week.

Hi Pioneers!

Hello everyone, here’s a small hotfix for Dedicated Servers not working alongside a few other bug fixes, like the pipeline flow indicators not animating and the images on the signs not scaling properly on smaller signs and more.

As always, with every new update if you’re experiencing some major issues launching the game or very unexpected behaviour, please take a look at the “Known Issues” section as this contains some very common workarounds for those issues.

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed dedicated server not working on Linux
  • Fixed Pipeline flow indicator animation not working
  • Fixed scaling issues on smaller signs
  • Potentially fixed Crab hatchers respawning improperly
  • Potential fix for a Crash related to save session

KNOWN ISSUES
  • A reminder for people who have been having issues with unexpected crashes on startup or weird behaviour with the game, in that case please try to verify your game files.

    You can do this on Steam by Right Clicking the game in your Library > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files...

    And on Epic by clicking on the three dots (“...”) next to the title or at the right side, depending on your selected library view > Manage > Verify Files > Verify

    This may or may not redownload a large amount of files which might take a while depending on your internet connection or hard drive speeds so be wary of that.

  • If you are using mods, they might need to be updated or uninstalled after updating so please keep this in mind too.
  • The first time booting the game will be very slow, but that should not continue to happen after the first boot
  • Game can hang on quit
  • There is major performance loss when running out of VRAM
  • Factory Animation tick reductions can be slightly too aggressive
  • TSR can cause visual issues with conveyor belts, you can try using the following console command to alleviate the issues, but this will reduce AntiAliasing quality
    • r.TSR.ShadingRejection.Flickering 0
