This 1.1.1 hotfix does address some issues introduced in yesterdays patch while also fixing a few other issues.

List of fixes:
• Stability improvements and fixes for the black screen experienced by players
• Fixed a crash when talking to King Chicken
• Fixed an issue with items remaining stuck on screen after the inventory is closed
• Fixed an issue where combat will restart immediately after it ends
• Fixed an issue with cancelling Overwatch that will cause mercs to start with 0 AP
• Resolved a case where deployed mercs will not properly appear on the map
• Fixed an issue with several black screens flashing when Esc is pressed repeatedly in the Inventory
• Changed how tiredness is accumulated
• Updates to the modding documentation and the sample mods
• Restored Left-click to move in options

In the upcoming weeks, our representatives will attend various events and conferences: Gamescom (starting today!), PAX West and WASD in September. We'll demonstrate the demo and gather last-minute feedback before we wrap up production.

Infection Free Zone will be visiting two significant upcoming events - Gamescom and PAX West. Due to this, we have decided to activate the latest demo once again! So if you missed the opportunity last time, we encourage you to give Infection Free Zone a go!


The demo will be available to all the players from August 23, 2023, to September 4, 2023. It will include the very same content as the last one that launched in the last week of July. While we already have some idea of ​​what changes you would like to see in the game, we still want to ask you to complete the survey available in the Infection Free Zone. The more feedback we have, the better we are able to focus on specific features during the development.


The exact start date of the Prologue is not yet known. But we estimate that it will take place somewhere around October 2023. The content of the prologue will be similar to the current demo, but it will differ, for example, by adding a system save that is requested by many players. Prologue will also be available on Steam permanently - it will not be temporarily disabled like current demos. We hope to be able to tell you more details about the Prologue soon!

We have promised you more details about Infection Free Zone's launch after the recent demo. For the last few weeks, we have been gathering and analyzing your feedback. One thing is certain for us - Infection Free Zone still needs some extra work. Several features are still being developed, and we want to add more of the story to the game.

We've also been trying to improve the visuals of Infection Free Zone recently. However, we have hit a wall of some sort where subsequent upgrades resulted in a drop in performance for some players. We want to make sure that no one will have problems with stutters or low FPS for the official launch.

So while we want to provide you with a free Prologue this year, it won't be possible to launch the game in Early Access in 2023. Of course, we will do everything we can to release the game as soon as possible. But that probably won't happen before the second quarter of 2024.


Thank you for following Infection Free Zone! The results of our last demo have surprised us a lot. We have had over 7,000 concurrent players during the peak and this result makes us incredibly proud. But we are also aware that this result affects expectations for the title. We will continue our work to bring you the best Early Access release possible. Thank you for your support!
