The meaning of version 0.9x:

  • Peel off the season server version and become an independent development line, no longer generating more code and data confusion with the season server, thus avoiding more issues caused by dual version conflicts.

  • Provide a more enjoyable and smooth gaming experience for single player mode players, ensuring that players can experience the full game experience (complete system, including the Eight Pulse) within 100 hours as much as possible.

    Considering the workload and limited development capabilities, the 0.9x series version will not be a one-time update of a large version, but will gradually achieve all the content of the 0.9 revision plan through multiple iterations (0.91, 0.92, 0.93...).

    During this period, we will continuously monitor the number and development speed of single player mode player groups, and promote the official version of single player mode -1.0 when we deem it appropriate and have sufficient development capabilities.

2、 Chivalrous cultivation

3. Skills

  • Breaking Demon Sect: Greatly increases the bonus coefficient of external skill skill damage from arm damage;

3、 Level optimization

Overlord Map:

1. Dominant boss optimization:

  • Increase the probability of all bosses dropping equipment forging drawings (Overlord 1 15%, Overlord 2 30%, Overlord 3 Luo 100%, 1-2 Left 1-3 100%);

  • Zuo Yulong and Luo Sixi added keys to the mine silver vault, as well as keys to the true half residual Buddha. Left 5% to 8%;

  • The resistance of all bosses is consistent, and there is no longer a distinction between high and low;

  • Luo Sixi drops special optimization: must drop 10-20 pieces of golden cloth, 1 piece of domineering certificate, 5% marrow washing pill, 2% Blissful Pill, and 1% Sun Moon Pill each time;

2. Overlord other optimizations

  • Increase the chance of all BOT monsters dropping famous craftsmen;

  • Optimize the drop of basic resources in the boss treasure chest of each map (25~100 drops of basic materials such as firewood, charcoal, herbs, saltpeter, gunpowder, sulfur, etc.);

  • Overlord 3: There is a probability that the Secret Chamber of the Heroes will drop Blissful Pill and Tongtian Pill;

  • Optimization of white, green, and blue drop boxes for Overlord 2, and optimization of orange drop boxes for Overlord 3;

Well, hello again folks!

After a bit of a break (that's life for you) I think we can confidently say that 5.0 is not getting any better - in fact I think it's pretty good! So I'm pushing it to production and declaring that it is fully released!

The main change is that the simulation should simply be faster. Notably the UI is decoupled from the simulation logic, meaning that even if your galaxy is so big it's causing your CPU to tank - you should still be able to navigate around in it relatively smoothly (that is to say smoothlyer than before).

This is a pretty dang big overhaul of the simulation engine, I don't know what I was thinking with that several years after the game release. It started out exciting but ended up in a giant mess of multi-threading and reentrancy issues. But, I think I came out alive on here the other side.

Still, please let me know if you find any crashes, I'll try to fix them.

I can now start to work on new features, maybe some fun things like new monsters and chaotic finance attractors.

After the Steam Next Fest in June, the development progress have received concern from heroes, so we wrote a developer diary in July to disclose our content development plan and Q3 release plan . For details, please refer to Developer Log 2 (←click me directly).

Driven by this goal and everyone's feedback, the team has entered an intensive development period that is more focused and directional than ever before.


During these two and a half months, the game has more than doubled the number of new unique skills and internal skills, added a batch of adventure events, and completed the development of main content such as multi-roles and automatic generation of mini worlds. In the EA version, you can choose to generate a mini map that already has 20, 40 or 60 land masses.
But there are still some work need to be added. Due to the large number of changes and new additions in the new version, there will inevitably be many problems that are difficult to traverse in our usual development QA and places that need to be optimized. Therefore, on August 18, we invited some old players who participated in the previous confidential internal tests to start the internal test again. This internal test will last for more than a week.

Since there are still some content that we need to develop in the final sprint, the allocation of manpower is very tight, and this version involves some "spoilers", so it is not possible to release the demo publicly for more players to test like the last Steam Next Fest. For now, what we can do, is to fix the existing problems and adding events & animation resources into the build, so to make the EA release version richer in content than the Steam Next Fest.

Due to the laggy translation progress, we are not able to post the daily bugreport here in perfect English. And to be honest, most of them are just making our self embarrased... ːsteamfacepalmː If anyone is interested, we post buglist pictures every day and you can see them by switch the steam page into simplified Chinese.

Are we are worrying about the English translation of the Early Access release version too. Since there will be on-going updates and content adding, it will be hard to update qualified English translation along with the pace of the updates. Our plan is to use machine translation first to keep up with the updates, then update with a better translation when we got them from the translators.

Hello everyone and welcome to the 1.8 Update!

As summer progresses, we continue to work on our next game, but don't worry, Rune It Out is still being developed. With the "Expanding the Known" update, we've reached version 1.8 of Rune It Out, which means the game has improved by one level.

The most exciting news with this update is the addition of two new maps:
  • - "Water X"
  • - "River Lane"


Another important update is that the tutorial has been brought up to the current level of the game. This includes:

  • Explanation of electric element
  • Explanation of nature element
  • Texts marking exits from tutorials
  • Texts marking entrances to tutorials

We've also improved the AI code, making it more capable and targeting only players instead of other AI. While it's not the smartest, it's doing its best and will continue to improve in the future.
