Hi everyone, Here is small bugfix and changes update.
Fixed a bug that occurs if the hero tries to craft potion or cook food immediately after fishing. Hero was moving at the background to the mouse direction.
Added an "Are you sure?" window after the player clicks the "retire hero" button. It was retiring without confirmation.
We got some progress making the game and now we'd like to tell more about the game's current state and our future plans.
Numbers We've been making this game for over 2 years (since May 2021). For now a significant part of the game is done, though it is still in the alpha version.
100% of the game core mechanics are already done including combat system, NPC interaction, global map exploration and much more.
45 of the 78 planned combat abilities are done and are used in the game.
There are currently 75 different creatures to see on the battlefield both as your ally or enemy and that number will keep growing.
There are about 30 NPCs to talk to and 17 quests to complete.
2 of 15 game classes are completely done.
When is the beta version? Before the beta version we have to complete 3 more story lines for the game including the final battle and make some minor changes to make our game more friendly to new players.
What will the beta look like? Now we are planning to make closed beta test among several game testers to improve the feedback we get from the community. During the beta, we will be adding more side quests, new classes, translations in different languages and much more. When this is done, we will release the game.
About the game's name 'RV' is a franchise name that means the Real Virtuality which is the universe where the events take place. 'Kingdom' is a game series name within the RV universe. It marks some general idea. '0x0297' is the year in hexadecimal number system when the game starts. Such naming system would be useful to organize future games within one franchise.
About us We are a small team of game developers. Before this game we made RV City - a city building simulator in the same universe as RV Kingdom 0x0297. It was our first completed game. It hasn't been released in Steam since it was non-commercial project and we were making it just for fun.
