Right now terrain edit system is in WIP status and it only works on HEX Grid Maps. Saving a scene won't save your terrain. that issue will be addressed in the next update.
It's been a bit, but I managed to resolve a bunch of life issues, and just got to work on EEE. I've decided to shift the focus back to be more tycoon.
There was a variety of elements from idle games that I was using just because they are expected of idle games, not because they work for the game. As such, a bunch of things have been changed around, chief among them being removal of Quanta. The speed controls are now just always available.
The next very big thing is an engine upgrade and implementation of ECS. The backend of the game has essentially been re-written. That's why I decided to start an experimental branch for the game. The game will stay in experimental branch for about two weeks, and that will hopefully catch out any bugs I missed from the backend change.
If you would like to test the experimental version: Right-click on the game in steam library Select Properties Navigate to Betas from the window that appears Select Experimental_Build
That should prompt an update for steam to get the experimental Build 7. If you don't see the experimental branch, you may need to restart steam to see it.
Note, some planned features are still missing from the experimental build, but it's in a stable enough state that players can test the new backend changes, and some of the new orbital features. There will be more content added over the next two weeks, before the release of Build 7.
I'll keep this brief, there is a changelog in the game if you'd like to see the changes. I'll put in the full changelog in the full Build 7 release post.
-Adjusted the positioning of all of the grapple ladders within the early Depths area to compensate for a prior collision box adjustment. The player can easily maneuver the ladders now before collecting the rolling ball fetal position ability.
Embark on a celestial journey with The Phalenoid Advance, a moth-like faction that reveres culture, science, and peace. This diplomatic faction prioritizes peaceful solutions over conflict, using their far-reaching Influence to foster annexations if left unchecked. With their unique Nocturnal Ability, they alternate between "Waking" and "Dreaming" states. "Waking" bolsters Growth and Manufacturing, while "Dreaming" supercharges Research and Influence. Their Hopeful trait elevates planetary Approval for harmonious expansion.
The Luxar Dominion
Welcome the Luxar Dominion, a faction steeped in arrogance and paranoia, yet gifted with cosmic telepathic abilities. With their telepathy, they wield the Pandemonium and Serenity Executive orders. "Pandemonium" spreads turmoil via chosen negative modifiers, while "Serenity" imparts chosen positive modifiers, all driven by their telepathic prowess. The Luxar Dominion's Paranoid trait enhances ships within their borders, granting a formidable increase in Hit Points and Attack power.
