We couldn't be more excited to share a limited time demo with you! Thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey so far, and a big welcome to everyone who is joining now.
We really hope you have fun playing this little preview of the game, and please don't forget to wishlist it if you have enjoyed it!
First things first- an update to make the game shipping build has moved the location the game reads your save data, but your old saves are still intact.
The old saves should be in your %steam\steamapps\common\Pseudoregalia\pseudoregalia\Saved\SaveGames Access by right clicking the game > properties > installed files> browse, then navigating from there to the savegames folder. The new location should be in C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\pseudoregalia\Saved\SaveGames (reference USER is your username of PC). You will need to run the game once with the update for the folder to show up. It will be empty there except a settings save, you just need to paste the data from the other folder, and everything should be back as it was.
Terribly sorry for the inconvenience and any scares it might've given you, this is my fault and won't happen again.
On the bright side, the install size should be smaller, performance better, cloud saves are enabled, and modding should be easier as well!
Please let me know if there's any additional problems, thank you.
(this is a duplicate of the other post, just to make sure it shows up in the news feed !)
EDIT: after some further testing cloud saves have been disabled until i can properly test them myself, at risk of messing with everyones saves again. i'll try to acquire a steam deck and get an update on that for you guys asap.
We were lucky enough to have APICO selected for the Itch.io Summer Selects Bundle, a special bundle containing APICO and 5 other cool indies!
Thanks to everyone who bought the bundle and supported us, we hope you enjoy all your new sweet games <3
APICO 2.2.3 for Xbox/Playstation
For our console friends, 2.2.3 is now live on Xbox / Playstation. This was a small update but contained some important fixes and means the consoles are now in-line with PC!
Unfortunately Nintendo wasn’t as kind with approval and still won’t let the patch through, however you’re not missing out on anything major!
So that’s a wrap on July, bee safe and we’ll see you next month!

It's the NOTH team (Alex and Oscar) with yet another patch to improve the TAGLINE demo! We've gotten a lot of feedback we wanted to address, mainly regarding difficulty. The demo was presenting mid to late game challenges; so we took a look at balancing.
Note your saves will be deleted; but this is probably the last time the demo is affected. At this point in development the demo will be receiving less love; most of our time moving forward is going to be focused on getting the game release ready!
Here's a list of some notable tweaks:
Adjusted spawn rate and score requirements for combat.
Changed properties of Waveform, Compressor, and Reverb to assist in combat:
Perform headshots with Waveform for a damage bonus.
Reverb shots can penetrate through targets.
Compressor weakens enemy defenses.
Balanced terminal challenge difficulty.
Minor visual bugs fixed; muzzle flashes, particles, ect.
Small bugs, balances, and inconsequential things!
As always thanks for playing! Make sure to wishlist the game and tell your friends; every new player fuels our fiery pilgrimage towards release!
Patch 1.057 Adds 20 new logos to the default teams. Old default file will be backed up under “\Users”YOUR USER NAME”\AppData\LocalLow\Stout Kassel Games\FFFL\Mods\DefaultFiles" before overwriting with new default file. If you want to revert to old file, simply delete the DefaultTeams files and rename backup file.
With the undead mechanic, it was decided to remove the ability and ratings CAP of 99. Some players will now have ratings over 100 - new color for over 100 ratings and abilities. These should be pretty rare in leagues with standard settings.
Changed how Blocker Rating (BKR) and DL Rating (DLR) are calculated. Added DURABILITY to the calculations since linemen are more prone to injuries and death. This does not change how they perform at those positions, just how the AI rates them and organizes the depth chart.
Added small chance for Rookies (0 years of experience) to get a stat boost after draft.
Added over 600 names to the name database.
Reduced the amount of salary increase Coaches demand when asking for more money.
Bug Fixes Fixed issue with players catching the ball outside the back of the endzone. Fixed rare bug with passes out of bounds causing loss of 2 downs. Fixed a bug after injury causing game crash Fixed bug with player becoming a coach, re-naming the coach to Player Prefab(Clone) Fixed bug which showed incorrect losses on the Hall of Fame Screen Removed option of 16 out of conference games with 16 and 24 team leagues. This was never intended as an option. Couple minor UI fixes and enhancements
The DLC titled "Relinquish" (Chapter 5) Has been released The game is in a complete state. Final conclusion awaits you all.
So much has been changed in the game with tons of bug fixes and additional content. This was probably the longest period of development I've ever had with this game, I wanted to do my best to produce a great game with appealing story and gameplay.
I really hope from the bottom of my heart that the game the way it is currently pleases you all, if so... its what makes me happy the most and worth the time, love and effort I've put into this project.
Thank you all for your support and... its time to Relinquish The Darkness!
