We are thrilled to share with you the moment we've all been eagerly waiting for – the unveiling of the 2.0 "Amendment" update for Suzerain! This update marks a true rebirth for our beloved Suzerain, taking it to a new level. Experience fresh dialogues, impactful choices, and tangible consequences that shape your nation's destiny. Enhanced visuals, an interactive world map, and an immersive narrative await you.
We've made the game more accessible and enjoyable for everyone, whether you're a seasoned player or new to political games. This comprehensive overhaul refines the game narrative, improves quality, and elevates the audiovisual experience, making every moment in Suzerain even more memorable.
"We are thrilled to announce the Suzerain 2.0 "Amendment" update release," says Ata Sergey Nowak. "It is a major overhaul that improves every game aspect with new features, content, and audiovisual enhancements. The update also includes many bug fixes, further balancing, writing improvements, and more."
The Suzerain 2.0 "Amendment" update is the culmination of a year-long endeavor by the Torpor Games team to refine and expand upon the original game and is the first release in a long-term plan for expanding and supporting the game, including more free updates and a series of premium DLC campaigns, the first of which - Suzerain: Kingdom of Rizia - will launch in Q4 this year.
Indeed, refining and expanding upon the original game is important for us, driven by our passion to create unique gaming experiences that deeply resonate with all of you, our amazing community.
The update also marks the start of a new arrangement with our dear publisher, Fellow Traveller, with us, taking up co-publishing duties, expanding our experience, and growing our skills and capabilities.
The update will debut with a limited-time discount of 70 percent off the game's current price of $14.99, which will run until the 13th of August. On the 14th of August, the game's price will increase to $19.99 to reflect the added value and enhancements in this update and support the continued development of further free updates.
Last but not least, we want to introduce our latest special addition: the exclusive "Vulpitzer Award" item, now available for purchase!
It's important to note that this item is entirely optional and purely aesthetic. With the acquisition of the "Vulpitzer Award," you not only improve the decor of your president’s desk but also extend your invaluable support to Torpor Games in their endeavor to deliver more updates like this.
You can also discover our latest offering - the Supporter’s Edition, the Supporter’s Edition includes the game Suzerain and its Original Soundtrack, as well as the Vulpitzer Award cosmetic DLC. By choosing the Supporter's Edition, you'll enjoy a 15% bundle discount, making it an irresistible deal.
Moreover, the Supporter's Edition is designed as a "complete the set" bundle. This means that if you happen to already own any of the items included, you can still take advantage of the bundle discount by purchasing just the remaining items you need.
If you haven't tried Suzerain yet, it will be the best moment to get it!
[Please note that this latest update requires starting a new save to be played. The previous save system will no longer function due to the implementation of a new technical infrastructure. However, we understand the value of preserving the legacy version 1.9 for those who wish to access it for nostalgic purposes.
Follow these simple steps to access Suzerain's legacy build:
Open your Steam library.
Right-click on Suzerain and select "Properties."
Go to the "Betas" tab.
Enter the code: "hsuarchive1954."
Choose the "legacy1.9" branch.
Download and play.
It's important to mention that the old version will not receive any further support or updates. We've introduced the 1.9 branches primarily to support players with in-progress saves, as we recognize the critical importance of accommodating their ongoing game experiences.
You can access the Legacy Suzerain 1.9 until the end of the year after which it will no longer be available.]

More feedback about certain parts of the story with little feedback
And before we sign off, remember that Kingdom Of Rizia, our much-anticipated first premium DLC, will be making its grand debut in Q4 this year! Don't forget to wishlist. Prepare for a thrilling adventure filled with new challenges and captivating stories.
Greetings, Groundbreakers! We're here with more news about Techtonica, from the roadmap changes to more soundtrack availability.
Strap in.
As always, the video update above goes into more detail, but if you want a quick rundown, you'll find that below.
The soundtrack is now streaming on a bunch of services
We love our soundtrack (and we hope you do, too). You can still snag the MP3 and FLAC versions on Steam, and we're retaining the bundled discount, but folks who want to use their typical streaming service can do so, too. Here's a fancy link with all of those services listed.
The Techtonica soundtrack is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. I'm listening to it right now, and you can't stop me.
Confirmed! We're splitting up the QoL update
We always knew we wanted a Quality of Life update to drop in the month-ish after we launched Techtonica into Early Access. But, after gathering so much feedback from so many players, we've decided to split the update into two parts in order to address even more before we hit v0.2.
So, v0.1.1 and v0.1.2 are now on the Roadmap. v0.1.1 still includes in-game metrics, and we're also ready to share that it'll feature more volume control, some initial Core Composer adjustments (more will come, we promise), bugfixes, and more. We'll share more specifics as we nail them down.
v0.1.1 is still slated for mid- to late-August.
v0.1.2? We're not quite ready to talk about it yet. We're still reading feedback, prioritizing points from players, and validating that against our own plans. As soon as we can share what's coming, we will.
Groundbreaker Support, assemble!
Finally, some news for the Discord. We created a new role specifically for players who go above and beyond when it comes to helping our newest community members. Groundbreaker Support members hang out on our Discord, boast fancy orange names, and are extremely knowledgeable about the game.
Want to join their ranks? Ask me (It's Joey), Lauren (leftmostpuddle), or any of the mods. We'll give it some quick thought.
Update 1.0.1.3 includes the following improvements:
- New classic survival mode. Build your own castle solo or with friends. To create your own team, approach your friend, press F and then your friend will be able to accept the invitation by opening the inventory menu. - Decay system. Add some stone to the main keep to keep the castle from decaying. - Now there are no time limits for modifying the castle. Destroy any objects at any time. - Both regular chests and private chests are now available to you. - The character is now wearing pants by default. - New placeable - stairs. - New placeable - main keep. - As well as many other improvements and fixes.
the following things have changed: Various hints on the loading screen Fixed No ghost when exorcism failed Fixed game crashes *hopefully* Fixed Light comes on even when power is off Fixed Ghost stays after exorcism Fixed Using the computer when the power is off Fixed Booting the computer when the power is off Improved speech recognition
Thank you for all the overwhelmingly positive feedback you've given us so far!
We're glad that so many of you are as passionate about YAZS as we are! We're also aware that many of you have 100% of what's currently available in the first Early Access version, so please don't worry - there will be much more to come!
We're also exploring various ways to revamp & implement additional meta progression methods. Outside of the Prestige & New Game+ systems that will come later, we are also planning to expand and redesign the skill tree (don't worry, you won't lose your skill points), as well as possibly adding per-run loadout options.
We're working on the things you wrote in your feedback. Some will come sooner, some later, but we're reading and considering everything. Maybe except for that one thing Patata posted. Come on Patata, you know better than us that we can't do that yet, maybe in the next update!
Anyway....
0.3.0 Content Update is coming!
As you've noticed, the first few updates after the game's release were mostly basic gameplay changes, bug fixes, balance and quality of life stuff. We needed to focus on these types of changes to keep the game in a healthy & fun state. Now that the situation is mostly stable, we're shifting our focus to working on new stuff for everyone to enjoy!
We plan for the first content update for YAZS to be released around middle-August / in 2-3 weeks.
When ready, we will be publishing it on the Public Beta branch first, to be able to tweak the possible imperfections with the help of our awesome community. We'll make another announcement related to it when it'll become available, so don't worry about it for now (make sure you "Follow" the game on Steam, just in case).
One of the things we want to add to the game as soon as possible is a new map with new enemies and gameplay mechanics tied to them. We have decided that the second arena in which you will survive will be a desert region that is one of the remaining frontiers between humanity and the Horde. Here's a sneak peek:
Any ideas on how should it be named? Let us know in the comments (we always read 100% of them).
Other than that, we're also working on adding a new ability for each of the currently available characters, new items, and new achievements to get, among other things.
Weapon manual aiming & shooting
While we're sticking to our design philosophy of making YAZS a casual and accessible game, we're also listening to the needs of our community. That's why we'll be adding an optional setting that allows players to manually aim and/or fire their weapons.
The feature itself will have a few toggles to better customize the experience. For example, you will be able to choose whether manual aiming works for the team leader only or for the entire squad at once. Keep in mind that this feature affects the survivors' weapons, not their abilities, which will always remain automatic, with triggers and start conditions for some.
By default, the manual settings will be disabled as we continue to develop and balance YAZS as the auto-aim & auto-shoot game you already know and love. If you feel like it, you will be able to enable the manual features in the game's "Controls" tab in Options.
YAZS Roadmap is live!
We've recently released a roadmap board to let everyone know what our current priorities are and what we plan to add to the game over time.
Instead of setting strict time frames that might end up as empty promises and yellow-backgrounds, we wanted to show you what's going on with development on YAZS in a way that's easy to keep up to date.
This will also allow us to let you know the important issues we're focusing on fixing, and quickly show you what's coming in the next public beta build. You can also join our Discord, as the roadmap changes will be updated in real time in the #yazs-roadmap channel.
Thank you for reading!
By the way... meet Sanji, our curly little potato:
I hope you're looking forward to our first content update and are as excited as we are!
Balance tweaks: Bio Slam: (Nerf) Increased the cooldown of zip dash after using Bio Slam. Reverberating Armor: (Buff) Changed the way this technology calculates damage reduction. All in all, it is now significantly better.
