Hey everyone,

Today's patch addresses issues that have been reported by players since launch. We've implemented several bug fixes and corrected visual bugs, including texture streaming issues and visible flickering of water reflections on certain settings.

This patch also implements a change to improve game stability, based on data from our crash reporting system and user reports. We continue to monitor and investigate crash reports and user feedback and are actively working to improve stability with future updates.

Patch Notes

  • Resolved texture streaming issues that could result in certain textures remaining low resolution.
  • Fixed visual issues with water reflections that occurred when ambient occlusion was set to anything other than SSAO.
  • Resolved an issue that caused the interact button prompt to remain visible on the screen.
  • Fixed a visual issue with weapon previews at the vendor when using ultra-wide resolutions.
  • Various bug fixes, stability improvements and optimizations.

If you experience any problems after updating to the latest version, please contact us using this link. As a workaround, you can revert to the previous version of the game. To do this, right-click on the game in Steam, select Properties, then Betas, and select Previous_Version from the drop-down menu.

The Highrise - matechar
In this patch, we have updated some temporary measures and bug fixes based on player feedback.


• Water activation rate during initial world generation has been increased from 50% to 60% (applies to both Sandbox and Survival modes).

• Monster respawn time in Survival mode has been reduced from 14 days to 7 days (remains 14 days in Sandbox mode).

• Weight stage 2 penalty limit has been increased from 60Kg to 80Kg.

• Accumulation rate of odor has been reduced from 33.3 per day to 25 per day.

• Weight limit has been increased from 40Kg to 50Kg.

• Memory usage of the game has been further reduced compared to the previous patch.

• Fixed the bug where blood effects when hitting monsters or other players were not displaying correctly.

• Fixed the bug where visual effects of Pipe Bomb explosions were not showing properly.

• Fixed the bug where installed Pipe Bombs couldn't be defused properly.

• Fixed the bug where striped Chef's health was not applying correctly.

• Fixed the bug where entering a room while playing in Sandbox mode allowed the creation of new characters only in Survival mode instead of Sandbox mode.


Lastly, after the gameplay renewal in The Highrise, numerous changes have been implemented, and the current demo has been updated to match the same version as the full Highrise game. Due to significant version differences, data from the previous demo couldn't be integrated, and we ask for your understanding regarding this matter.

MISTROGUE: Mist and the Living Dungeons - s04155yo
Thank you always for playing "MISTROGUE"!

In this update, we mainly made the following two points:

1. Improvement of Endless Hyperspace

  • For players who play "MISTROGUE", especially "Endless Hyperspace", to its ultimate challenges, we have changed the enemy's level cap from 50 to 100. We also changed the level status cap of the mist from 30 to 50.
  • As a result of releasing the enemy's level cap and changing the level cap of the mist to 50, we have segmented the leaderboard of the end content "Endless Hyperspace" before and after the update.
  • To allow more people to play "Endless Hyperspace", we made it possible to challenge the Hyperspace after clearing the "Living Cave".

2. Making skill builds easier to understand
  • To make it easier to understand status increases in "Skill Build", we set the top left of the battle screen as the status panel display position.
  • We changed the tutorial at the start of the game to be compact, and more emphasis on telling the "Skill Build" effects.

GAME SYSTEM

  • We have changed the enemy's level cap from 50 to 100.
  • The status of Mist will now increase even after level 30.
  • We changed the curve of status changes from level 30 to level 50 of the mist (so that the status will increase even after level 30).
  • The end content "Endless Hyperspace" has been opened after clearing the "Living Cave" and has become challengeable.

  • Equipment screen: When you hover over each equipment, you can now check the details of the attached skills.

Greetings, fighters! We continue to work on making our game better in all aspects, and today we’d like to present a new article type: In Detail. It will include both player suggestions and our ideas that we’d like to elaborate upon and discuss with you.

Let’s discuss in detail markers in air events

We’d like to disable ground vehicle markers for pilots of fighters and interceptor helicopters during air events in Ground arcade battles. The markers will remain for strike aircraft, bombers, and helicopters with air-to-ground rockets and ATGMs.

Air events are a rather old mechanic that was adapted to new vehicle ranks by including more and more modern aircraft. But with more powerful payloads, more advanced fighters with front-mounted cannons appeared in the sky. Such aircraft were intended to escort or destroy strike aircraft (depending which side they’re on), but, beginning at the mid ranks, the fighters often prefer to rush to the tank battlefield and attack low armored vehicles.

As a result, we believe, gameplay suffered for both ground vehicles that had to fend off 2-4 aircraft instead of one serious aerial opponent, as well as the strike aircraft that were left with no cover while costing many times more.

Besides, after the middle of the battle the dominating side started to actively use air events for massive air attacks, lowering the comeback chances of the side that was already losing.

What’s going to improve

Fighters aren’t the “main characters” in air events: you can infer that from the fact that you can’t initiate the events as a fighter. Effective escort/interceptor fighters costing one point are meant to improve the chances of the strike or to counter it — depending on the side.

Fighter pilots that aren’t tempted by highlighted positions of the ground targets will concentrate on their immediate task, the tankers will clearly see their main target in the sky, and kamikaze attacks that annoy many of you will happen much less often.

It's only been a little over a month since our recent demo update and new trailer as part of summer games festivities, but we've continued making great progress on the game as a whole. While it's mostly been post-demo content, we've also been smashing bugs (thanks to your feedback!), implementing new features/updates and even adding a long-awaited new feature (new demo build available now on PC and Mac via Steam)!

We'll have more to share at our upcoming Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show appearances, but in the meantime, we wanted to give a quick update on what has probably been your most requested addition – an inventory!

Took the stuffed dino in the plane never to be seen again? Just search your (currently giant) pockets and jiggle him around – or decorate your shelter a bit differently! The inventory lets you see everything you've collected and take it back out whenever you want. We'll likely expand this further before the full release, but for now this acts as a solid base to start from.



This demo update isn't just about the inventory though – we've also worked hard to resolve a variety of bugs that we've seen in your feedback and in the many YouTube/Twitch streams that we've enjoyed watching (we even made a sizzle reel of our favorite moments!). We really appreciate the feedback, it'll really make a big difference for the finished game!
