A new minor patch is available for Vibrant Venture which fixes a few minor issues related to the lighting in the World 2 Map.
See the changelog below for details.
Fixed an issue in the cave section of World 2 Map where the light around the player would only appear when playing as Cardinal
Additionally, the light will now consistently appear regardless of the character used to complete or exit a level, resolving the problem where it wouldn't show up if Cardinal wasn't the character in use
Update v1.10 adds a new style, Santorini, based on the small Greek island Santorini. As well as some other new functions, a couple of controls, and some settings.
Added:
- Path Mode, which makes the game only pick objects that I considered to be "paths". (those objects may change)
- End Island Early, some people have let me know that they sometimes had a cool-looking island, which was then ruined because they needed to fill out the rest of the tiles. This function, as the name suggests, allows you to end the island early so that you don't need to fill out the whole thing.
- Space bar control, pressing the space bar will pop up two buttons, which activate the two previously mentioned things. (Path mode, and the End Island Early Buttons)
- Added to Controls, some people mentioned it was sometimes hard to find the missing tiles that needed something placed on them. So, if you click on the lighthouse, it lights up all empty tiles (this was in the game but just not communicated to the player in any way)
- Added camera tilting towards mouse position, as well as a setting button to disable it.
- Added Quality settings of high and low.
- Added the ability to zoom with the scroll wheel.
Changes:
- Adjusted exit menu background darkness.
Fixed:
- Fixed transparency of unplaced buildings, now all buildings are transparent prior to being placed.
Okay, hope you enjoy the new style, have fun!
Make sure to wishlist the game if you think it looks cool. And if you get the game, I would greatly appreciate a review. :)
We are excited to announce that 1.4.4 tModLoader will be available starting August 1st as tModLoader's default experience! After a lot of testing and changes, we are ready to release this next big version of tModLoader. We have seen significant uptake within the modding community on our 1.4.4-preview Beta, and are looking forward to a smooth transition to the next big stage. A lot of hard work went into this, so a big thank you to everyone involved.
Likewise, although 1.4.4 is released from our end, there will still be some mods not yet released on 1.4.4. This may include some popular mods. We anticipate several of these noteworthy mods to release within the few days to follow, and ask for your patience as modders publish their work.
For more information on the Jump to 1.4.4 and all that's happening around it, you can read more in our big announcement from earlier this month: tModLoader 1.4.4 Transition Plan Please note that 1.4.4 will NOT replace 1.4.3. 1.4.3 will continue to be available in full through Steam Beta options, just as 1.3 is today.
Once again, we are excited to bring tModLoader to 1.4.4 age! We hope you enjoy this next era of modding, and several improvements we've made during the journey.
