There is also new content. A new ship and a new weapon can be researched in the colony ship.

💪 Embracing the Classic

Classic mode is the backbone of Mega City Police. But you can’t jump into the action if you are a rookie and don’t have experience with Retrowave Skill-Based Action Roguelike games. Thus, the Casual mode was included to ease a new agent’s entry into the genre. But if you go through casual levels like a hot knife through the butter – ramp up the difficulty and go to Classic mode asap.

Paragrowth - Flypyp
Hello Everyone! Filip, a Paragrowth developer here.
Here's another report on the latest developments in the game.



Time in July was fully taken by completing my Leg Animator system.
I'm proud that it's finally finished. I started working on this algorithm about 4 years ago and I did multiple re-writes from scratch. If you're curious, you can check the release video here.



Working on this system was part of my full time job, but it also gives a lot benefits for the Paragrowth.
Almost every character in the game will use this plugin. It makes the animations look much better and saves a lot time required for animating.

This system is a fundamental part for my another system, which handles full body animation.
I will complete it too, in some of the next months.
It's Must-Have for the night creatures, which will break through barricades with precise legs and arms-catch animations. Walking into the house through too small doorways, roaming around etc.

What's more, I again had an a apprentice for this month - Stuku.
He made a basic wooden board weapon model for a warm-up, then moved to harder task: monster model for the game, and he did incredible job.


We were basing on the Heteropteryx species, but added few tiny modifications to it ;)

Monsters like this will be very rare in the Paragrowth. In most cases you will try to run from it instead of fighting it. During the day it sleeps and starts hunting at night.
It will have it's den somewhere in the grain fields. You will need to do a lot of noise to wake it up during the day, but you better don't.



Plans for next month is to work on locations generating and exploration mechanics.

  2. Reduced AoE abilities of normal mobs and changed some projectiles of enemies.
  3. Changed the default zoom for the player and added the ability to adjust the zoom.
