The 0.44 update brings French & German localization to Spirited Thief AND full gamepad support!
Spirited Thief will now try to use your system's language by default. Of course, you can change your preferred language at any time in the options menu.
We did a lot of under-the-hood changes to provide proper support to gamepad. Some of the new features will also benefits mouse and keyboard users. For example, the UI can now be fully used with a keyboard or a gamepad.
A new ability wheel allows quick access to every trick of your thieves.
We also reworked the shop UI for better navigation and clarity.
We've been hard at work again, and this new build took a bit longer because Unity decided to make an update to their newly acquired collaborative workflow software PlasticSCM, now known as Unity Version Control System - and it stopped us dead in our tracks. Despite support's best efforts, we couldn't continue for a couple of days and even lost a bit of work. Not to whine (too much), but these are things you have to keep up with as a small developer, on top of everything else, like nasty SteamVR updates for example, which also caused us quite a bit of trouble lately.
But anyway, let's get to the good news already! Of course we implemented lots of improvements across all areas of the game, be it graphics, sound, narration, bug fixing and even whole game systems. The most noticable upgrade in that regard is probably that we completely revamped the "snow cover testing" mini game. In our opinion, it's much more fun, and even more life-like now, as this technique is really used in the assessment of avalanche risks.
Another big thing is that we've introduced visual feedback to our communications system. People had complained that they keep forgetting if you have to press the speech button once or twice to say "yes" or "no" β¦ and voila, now you get a reminder each time Vreni asks you something. But that is not all! To give you a bit of feedback whenever Vreni stores some information about you in her head, depending on your answers or actions, the game now tells you that
VRENI WILL REMEMBER THIS.
So in good old telltale tradition, this will keep you guessing if it was good or bad thing you said or did, hehhe.
We're hoping you'll have lots of fun with this version of the game. Overall, most of the important stuff on our to-do-list has been completed by now, so aside from the minor things still to do, there is mostly graphical work to be done to further round out the game. Of course, a dream of ours would be to add even more dialogue from Vreni, but since we'd have to pay our wonderful actress Kimberly for that, it's something we can't really do unless we finally make some money from the game. In Lights Going Out, you can continue a game you began in Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind, or start a new story in this Great Darkness.
Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out is immensely replayable, with over 600(!) interactive scenes with multiple, system-driven outcomes. Short episodes and automatic saving mean you can play even when you only have a minute or two. The built-in saga records your story for you, while advisors help you track your promises, though their personalities will often judge your actions.

Without further ado, lets get into the highlights!
First we have Ray, the Optic Circuit. Ray's a commanding hothead who values punctuality above all else. Fitting for someone who attacks with screen-filling beams!
He is named after the laser ray inside optical CD drives!
For the second character highlight we have Trace, the Patch Circuit. Trace is quite crafty, yet a creepy scientist type, always tinkering on something. It is no surprise then that she occupies the junkyard, to raise a ghastly army of her own!
She is named after program tracebacks, with her title referring to program patches!
For the third character highlight we have Blade, the Cooler Circuit! Blade tends to be a loner, preferring to spend time on his own while he governs the skies. However, despite his rough, no-nonsense exterior, he secretly has a softer side.
Blade is named after the fan spinning inside a CPU cooler.
For the fourth character highlight we have Cable, the Power Circuit! Cable is a prideful loner who prefers to do things "his" way, whatever that may entail. He's even willing to take on larger workloads, just so to keep others off his back.
He is named after... Every computer needing a power cable!

Here is another small update with mostly bug fixes and one requested change: settings for how the turn keys work! Due to my limited skills and how the game is coded, I won't be able to do full control remapping, but I hope those settings helps people who had trouble with the default turning behavior!
New
- Turn Mode Settings: You can now choose between 4 different turn modes in the settings. Adaptative (default), Screen orientation, Trigonometric or Single Key! Full descriptions of those control modes in game.
Changes
- "Too easy" achievement reworked: now requires you to finish hard mode with 5 or more hearts remaining. Come on frogs now its clearly doable!
Balancing
- SKT now gives +20% move speed instead of +25%.
Bugs and fixes
- Fix music and sounds not starting for some rare players. - Fix no upgrades appearing if you went beyond max stats. - Fix Froggo the Bad's hitbox sometimes staying active and not in the right place one frame after landing. - Fix life bar of Froggo the Truly Bad being stolen by random minion Froggo in hard mode. - Fix CanonBoi that could sometimes still shoot while dying. - Fix Typo on dash tip.

Changelog
Fixed an issue with force-finished Seal games not giving back Seal Fragments. Unfortunately, this fix does not work retroactively, so if you experienced it, you will not get your fragments back, for which we are terribly sorry.
