Not gonna lie, it's been a rough few weeks. Made some bad calls, rushed out some patches, and have been scrambling to get things sorted out. Unfortunately, I got so sick last week that I couldn't even watch TV for more than 15 minutes without getting dizzy. Heat exhaustion is weird, and I still haven't recovered 100% 10 days later.
This recent series of patches has sorted the majority of the problems out but there are still some smaller problems I am working on. In particular, a lot of people's skill points got messed up with a localization error several patches ago. This most recent patch should sort the majority of these out, though they may still reset if you load a character in a different language than they were last saved in. I will continue to improve those and other systems so these side-effects don't linger.

You may need to restart Steam for the update to begin, or you can verify file integrity to trigger it.
The latest set of updates have been all about performance and lighting effects, with some huge gains seen across the board in FPS and visual fidelity. There were also improvements to weapon fire speed, reloading, trap damage, treasure types, HUD visuals, and more!

1. 🎮 Nuevo evento automático implementado: Juegos del Hambre 🏹
El evento Juegos del Hambre es un desafío en el que los participantes deben ingresar sin ningún ítem en su inventario. 💼 Todos contra todos (tipo deathmatch) en el que solo un usuario sobrevivirá. Al unirse al JDH, los ítems aparecerán en cofres que pueden abrirse haciendo doble clic. El ganador del evento se quedará con todos los objetos de los cofres y el oro recaudado durante el torneo. 💰🏆

3. ⚙️ Opción para limitar los FPS desde el menú de opciones del juego 🎮
Ahora, los jugadores pueden configurar el límite de FPS a su gusto utilizando una barra deslizante en el menú de opciones. 🔄🔧
4. 🏴☠️ Ahora cuando un jugador se conecte con la clase Pirata en un mapa donde caen todos los slots (como Minas de oro), aparecerá un mensaje de alerta en la consola. ⚠️📜
5. 🎪 Ahora cuando un jugador se conecte mientras hay un evento en curso, como por ejemplo los Juegos del Hambre, se mostrará un mensaje en la consola notificando sobre el evento, el costo de inscripción, etc. 📢💰
6. 🐛 Se corrigió un bug en el deathmatch que permitía atacar antes de iniciar el combate. También se ha solucionado el problema que impedía que el ganador de un deathmatch anterior pudiera ingresar a otro evento. 🐜🥊
7. 🔪 Se agregaron los deathmatch automáticos por ítems.
Si se abren cupos en un deathmatch por ítems, al morir en el evento los objetos caerán. El ganador tendrá un minuto para recoger los ítems antes de regresar al mapa donde estaba anteriormente. ⌛💼💎
8. ✨ Ahora el efecto del hechizo Dardo o Misil Mágico viajará como un proyectil hacia la víctima. 🎯🔮
9. 💰 Se aumentó la cantidad máxima de apuesta via NPC hasta 32.000 monedas de oro. 💵💰
10. 🕵️♂️ Cambios en las habilidades de ocultación y duración para diferentes clases.

Rolling out the "scenarios" menu. This is a beta-only feature that allows you to test new objectives without playing through the whole game! Right now there's only one option - the "Fuel refinery" scenario. Feel free to give it a spin! You'll be dropped onto a planet with some starter gear and get right into the new objective.
Fuel Refinery Defense
-Link the refinery pumps to the fuel mixer, then fight off waves of jellyfish to obtain fast-travel enabling Rocket Fuel! -Two new jellyfish minibosses -- the Jellyfish Ironclad and Jellyfish Juggernaut. There's about a 50% chance of one spawning during Refinery Defense Events. -New e-corp enemies --E-corp bittybots will swarm the player with fast, short-range plasma blasts. Take care of them before they chip away your health! --E-corp Megabots are a lot tougher - be careful around these guys!

Drifter
The first brand new survivor debuting in Risk of Rain Returns is Drifter. This resourceful brawler got more than she bargained for when she stowed away on the ill-fated Contact Light - luckily she has some unique skills to not only handle the dangerous inhabitants of Petrichor V but she also has some powerful tools to empower herself and her fellow Survivors.
Key to Drifter’s power is her ability to utilise Scrap generated by her primary ability Blunt Force. This may appear as useless rubbish to the other survivors - but to Drifter it’s a valuable resource.
Blunt Force is a 3 hit combo melee attack that hits enemies in a wide area - each successful hit generates lumps of Scrap which litter the floor near Drifter - gather these quickly to fuel your more powerful abilities.
Blunt Force isn't the only way to generate Scrap - Drifter’s Utility ability Suffocate also fills your meter without having to collect Scrap from the environment - This large melee strike stuns and does 200% damage - any enemy below 20% health when attacked with Suffocate is immediately consumed and converted to Scrap.
Once you have gathered Scrap you have everything you need to fuel Drifter’s other two abilities - including her secondary attack Cleanup. This ability tosses out some of your Scrap as piercing projectiles in a short-range burst - imagine a trash powered shotgun that makes mincemeat of even the toughest enemies.
Finally her special ability makes her a true powerhouse on the battlefield - not only to herself but her allies - when your Scrap meter is 75% full you gain access to Salvage.
Salvage allows Drifter to generate 4 temporary items - these can then be collected by any player making her the survivor with the strongest support abilities in Risk of Rain. Have your teammates not been as fortunate as you when rolling the dice at chance shrines? Create some temporary items to share among your team before facing the tough challenges that await you.
Of course there is nothing stopping you from just taking all the items for yourself and becoming the most powerful Survivor on the planet - key to success as Drifter is to keep churning out temporary items as quickly as you can - they only last a short time in your inventory so continuing to replace them as they expire will maintain your strength.
Like all the other survivors, Drifter has a trio of alternate abilities to unlock, but I won't spoil those for you today, you can discover them yourself when Risk of Rain Returns is released later this year!

A German E-Boat, that was used as a commercial cargo vessel after the war ended, gets new life in service with the Regia Marina!

The MC 485 is a German E-Boat of the S-38 series, which in the post-war period entered service with the Royal Italian Navy. The boat will become one of the main prizes of the next season of the War Thunder Battle Pass as a Premium torpedo boat of rank III in the Italian coastal fleet tech tree.
At first glance, you can see two main differences between the Italian boat and the German E-Boats - a high mast for a navigation radar and, most importantly, modified armament. The gun cockpit on the bow has been dismantled and changed to deck. The Italians replaced the German armament at the stern with a pair of 40 mm Bofors automatic cannons. Thus, on the one hand, the boat has somewhat lost combat effectiveness, since she can no longer fire forward, and on the other, the MC 485 broadside is dangerous not only for boats and aircraft, but even for small enemy ships.
Why do we love the E-Boats? Of course, for excellent maneuvering performance and ease of performing torpedo attacks. The MC 485 keeps with this tradition, although the torpedoes themselves are now different, as they were made in Italy. The boat quickly reaches a maximum speed of 39 knots (over 70 km/h) and is excellent for both capturing points and maneuvering among islands and rocks.
The Italian MC 485 will be one of the main prizes in the new season of the War Thunder Battle Pass. We will soon announce other prizes and the full list of rules, so stay tuned for the news!
