Ranked Season 29 begins now! The time has come once again to prove you’re one of Odin’s mightiest warriors. Begin by collecting last season’s Glory, and get ready to climb up the Ranked ladder anew.
Prove your skill by defeating the top players to achieve the legendary Valhallan rank! With this new season, the Valhallan rank will be accessible on August 2nd. Only the top players in each region will be granted this ultimate rank and unlock its exclusive spoils.
Pair up for a sandy game of 2v2 Volleybrawl featured in the Seasonal Ranked Queue.
For those new to ranked seasons, we’ve provided a rundown on what you need to know so you can jump right into battle and fight your way to the top. Check out our breakdown on Ranked Tiers and the Elo reset below.
Play ball - or Oddbrawl that is! Check out “Oddbrawl Mania!” – featured as Brawl of the Week. The Master Chief and the Arbiter continue to fight alongside one another as Epic Crossovers as part of Brawlhalla: Combat Evolved.
At the beginning of every season, there is a soft Elo reset, your placement matches are reset, and you receive Glory – the currency you earn by playing Ranked.
We hope you enjoy the new season!
Soft Elo Reset Formula
Soft Elo Reset is based on your current Elo at the end of the season.
1v1 and 2v2 Personal Rating
Under 1400: New Elo = Old Elo
Over 1400: New Elo = 1400 + (Old Elo – 1400) / (3 – (3000 – Old Elo) / 800)
2v2 Team and Legend Rating
2v2 Team & Legend Ratings have been brought closer to 750.
Under 2000: Elo = (Elo + 375) / 1.5
Over 2000, we aggressively brought you back down as a way of resetting the top tiers.
Glory Earnings Calculation
Glory earned is based on a combination of your Highest Peak Rating (highest 1v1, 2v2, team, or Legend rating/Elo) and total Wins. This was designed in order to reward both skill and dedication for those who pursue Glory.
You gain 20 Glory per win up to 150 wins, which gets you 3000 Glory. After 150 wins, each subsequent win gives you slightly less.
Note: There is a minimum requirement of 10 games played to be eligible for Glory based on your rating. For help estimating your Glory Gained or New Elo after the reset go to: http://brawlhalla.com/glory-calculator/ Placement Matches
Players beginning their Ranked climb have 10 placement matches to better determine their skill level and starting Elo.
Each season, for Ranked 1v1 and Ranked 2v2, your first 10 matches will serve as placement matches that will have a greater effect on your rating than normal games. Your rating will be hidden until after you have completed your placement matches for that queue.
Valhallan Rank
Valhallan Rank will open on August 2nd. To become Valhallan, players must be Ranked in Diamond, have at least 100 wins during the Ranked season, and attain a rating among the top players in their region.
Each region has a limited number of Valhallan positions:
US-E / EU – Top 150
SA – Top 100
SEA / US-W – Top 50
AUS / JPN – Top 25
SAF – Top 10
ME – Top 10
These numbers are based on each region’s population and will be considered for adjustment on a seasonal basis.
Unique Valhallan Rewards
After ranking up, players will immediately receive the Valhallan Avatar, Loading Frame, and Season Title Reward.
Valhallan Loading Frame:
Unlike other Ranked Loading Frames, the Valhallan Loading Frame can only be used while the player is currently in the Valhallan rank. Players are granted it immediately upon achieving Valhallan, and if they are pushed out of Valhallan rank, the Loading Frame will be revoked when the daily reset occurs (9am UTC/5am EDT/2am PDT).
Valhallan Title Reward:
Players are awarded a Title immediately upon achieving Valhallan. Each season will have a unique Valhallan Title Reward. The Title is never revoked, regardless of rank.
Valhallan Avatar:
Instead of an Avatar that upgrades at the end of each season, the Valhallan Avatar is awarded immediately upon achieving Valhallan.
The Valhallan Avatar has two states: active and inactive. The active Avatar is rewarded immediately upon achieving the Valhallan rank but can be downgraded to the inactive “Fallen” state if players fall out of Valhallan rank when the daily reset occurs.
To reactivate the Avatar, players need to reach the Valhallan rank again. Players will retain ownership of the Avatar between seasons, but it will be in the “Fallen” state at the start of every season.
Ranked Borders from Season 28
If you placed Gold, Platinum, or Diamond at any point in the season, you are given a Ranked border based on your highest rank that other players can see in the match preview screen. These will last for one season and will be updated again after the new season comes to a close.
Your border from any previous season does not carry over or have any impact on your current border reward.
Ranked Avatars from Season 28
Ranked Avatars include prestigious versions for those who’ve placed in high ranks during previous seasons. For example, if you placed in Platinum last season and Gold this season, you’ll receive the upgraded versions of the Competitor’s Badge and Gold Emblem. You will still have your original Platinum Emblem Avatar from previous seasons.
You must play a minimum of 10 games to receive Ranked Avatars / Borders at ANY rank.
Competitor’s Badge: Awarded to anyone who plays 10 Ranked Games or more.
Gold Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Gold or above.
Platinum Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Platinum or above.
Diamond Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Diamond.
Upgraded versions of Ranked Avatars are awarded to those who have earned the same Avatar in any previous season.
For players who have reached the 5th Tier of an Avatar by reaching a certain rank or higher for five total seasons: the 5th Tier of that Avatar will stay in your inventory permanently! Congratulations on your achievements!
The 6th Tier Avatar, for those who have reached a certain rank or higher for six total seasons, will take on a brand new look! These Avatars will grow more and more prestigious with each subsequent seasonal repeat up to Tier 10, at which point the Tier 10 Avatar will remain in your inventory permanently.
In short, every 5 Tiers of Avatars, you’ll keep the most awesome, most decked out version permanently, and then start work on a new version for subsequent tiers for 6-10, 11-15, and so on.
Players can continue to earn Glory mid-season and earn exclusive Title Rewards. With every new season, the Seasonal Ranked Queue’s Elo will do a full reset.

Alex and Josh here, the devs on Heavenly Bodies. We hope you’ve been well since the last time we made an update on here :)
We have an exciting one today for all of you. Remember when we said about a year ago that we were working on more content? We’re so happy to finally reveal what that content is – our DLC, Cleanup, coming on July 26th!
We’ve been working hard on this DLC for a good while now. It’s given us an opportunity to prototype and implement mechanics we’d always wanted to make but didn’t find a home in the original game. The DLC has also given us a chance to develop a larger scale level and change up how the new gameplay is structured.
Expect a brand new, huge semi-open level split across 7 days; a new Piloted Manoeuvring Unit (PMU) Vehicle; new tools and gadgets including magnetic attractors, drills, and more; and new challenging gameplay mechanics!
A large challenge with developing it has been finding the balance between the bigger scale of the new level and pacing the introduction of new items and mechanics. There are still lots of things those of you who have played the base game will be familiar with, but there are also lots of new exciting things for you to learn and discover as you progress. It was a delicate balancing act to find a logical place for all of this across several hours of new content.
And we mean *hours* – Cleanup will be anywhere from 3 to 5 hours long: the same as the base game itself! The DLC on its own is priced at $7.99 USD; if this will be your first time playing Heavenly Bodies, the base game and the DLC together are priced at $25 USD.
We’re really excited for you to play this. It’s our way of thanking you for all the incredibly kind feedback you’ve given this tiny 2-person developer duo. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We’ll update you again when the DLC comes out on the 26th of July. Please feel free to join our Discord for a humble but nice time with the rest of the Heavenly Bodies community.
We’re now vibing with these summer good mood that Koa and Napopo are bringing to everybody - can’t help it!
Just 1 week left to launch Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara (July 27th) and we can confirm everything will be ready to enjoy this summer game adventure (hopefully your new favourite one) from the very first minute.
But, what can we expect from this special day? We’ll, many things! We don’t want to spoil so much until the big day, but can confirm that a 15% launch discount during the first week from the launch will happen!
Wishlist the game if you haven't yet and join Koa and Napopo in their next adventure across Mara.
Meet the cast (again?)
In case you didn’t play Summer in Mara or didn’t know yet some of the characters you’ll find in this new adventure, here are a quick view to get familiar and know what to…expect from them!
THE KIDS Koa, Napopo, Mayo, Sandee are our troop of rowdy kids in search of pirate trials. Talk to them from time to time to race against them and get new outfits for Koa.
QÄLIS Although many tourists now come for its beauty and gastronomy, you will find familiar faces who will lend a hand (and you can help them too) in your new adventures. The wise Saimi will help you decipher the map pieces, Akaji will forge the level medals and Noho and Caleb will be as always in the middle of everything. But there's more!
THE PIRATES Do you know when a pirate is really dangerous? When he gets bored! And this gang is always up to something, but this time they're up to no good! They're not as bad as they look, so be nice to them.
We’re working on some ‘guide type’ posts that we’ll pin in the forum as a FAQ for you to have a better experience with the game. Feel free to leave some questions below this post to add them to this - make it together! 🙂
Well see you in a week, may the winds of Mara be kind to you!
Our brand new Roguelike mode is a fast paced version of the game where you can mix and match builds that are simply not possible in the traditional campaign. After every battle, you gain a level, choose a random skill and a random item from a set of options. Enemies, Bosses and Events are randomized too, making every run unique. Permadeath is the only option, but even if you fail, each run will help towards permanently unlocking new characters and passive skills for your future runs. Harder difficulties await those who desire greater glory. Can you make it through the roguelike gauntlet and conquer the final dragon?
This new updates also adds a battle drops system where powerups that include damage bonuses, cooldown reductions and more, will spawn during battle. The update introduces a new public lobby system that allows you to join other people’s games without being their friend on Steam and adds full controller support to the game.

Not so long ago we showed you a first little sample of the modding scene already forming around Men of War II (Mods in Men of War II – Lost Eagles Sneak Peek), and we would like to continue this series today by introducing another classic mod for the game’s launch this September. "Born in the Fire: America" – the famous modification about events of wars of the XVIII-XIX centuries, both in the American and European theaters is in the process of being remade for Men of War II. Big emphasis in its story is put on the colonization of North America, War of Independence, American Civil War and the era of the Wild West. The mod features historically accurate soldier equipment, weapons, cannons and ships, as well as horses and carts.
This version of the ‘Born in the Fire: America’, made and ported for Men of War II by ALC Team, consists of 6 missions about various events such as battle of Bunker-Hill, defense of Jamestown and the last battle of Colonel Custer. All levels have been reworked with the new resources of Men of War II and have received an updated visual style.
“We started our path into modding with the GEM engine and to this day we’re doing it here, this engine is very simple and most accessible tool for us to implement our ideas, interesting little features, plots and to create unique content. Men of War II continues this trend by expanding modding possibilities with its toolset. For us, port of the Born in the Fire is just the beginning.” – ChrisTaylor and Sea-Knight from ALC Team told us. If you’re interested in their projects, you can join their Discord channel.
Stay tuned, we will have even more news to share with you soon! And if you are a modder with a great idea for new content, or have an already existing mod you would like to convert to Men of War II, contact us at pr@fulqrumpublishing.com - we cannot promise everyone who asks will get early access to the modding tools however, since the game is still in development.
Don’t forget to wishlist Men of War II, join its Discord and follow Fulqrum Publishing on social media, so you don’t miss any of our announcements!
Dear apprentice Ninzas, Summer time usually rhymes with sun (even if it doesn't), yet our dear Mo0n is not to be outdone. Indeed, in order to spice up your holidays with a nice touch of chaotic energy, a new version of Ninza is out, NOW!
Those new features allow newcomers to play solo or in coop while having a more friendly space to learn their moves! This is the first step of our big plan to make the game more welcoming to new players.
For a more detailed patch note, you can join our Discord server.
Fresh, reliable and more interesting to play against, please make a warm welcome to our new punching bag, aka the Bot!
It now comes with its own set of abilities and appearance, so that nobody will mistakes it with our good old Tobias.
He's cute but has no soul.
Seriously though, this version of the AI is based on a new and more reliable system. Meaning there's still a lot of stuff we could improve and add. It's still radically better than the previous one, but we refrained ourself to put too much work on it. We wanted to wait on your feedbacks and decide afterwards if the bot should benefit from a more elaborate education.
Working on the Bot allowed us to create a more tailored to our needs AI. Basically, it's like some sort of brain we can now put in whatever we want. Guess what? That's exactly what we did!
Those Mo0n minions can be destroyed while playing our new game modes: the trials! Available for 1 or 2 players in coop, every trial has its own objective to complete. We designed those modes to give something fun to toy with, when learning to play. On their side, advanced players can challenge theirselves to unlock the best ranks for each trials.
As for the new bot, we didn't commit heavily to create a big amount of trials. We have ideas for more of them but we're waiting on your feedbacks to see if that's something worth adding.
While working on the trials, we needed more control over the procedurally generated levels. So we went back to this whole part of the game and did a few improvements.
We won't go much into details here, but let just say that there's now a LOT more patterns available. This means, more diversity on the battlefied, more opportunities to get creative, in other words: more Ninza fun! We've also modified the amount of blocks spawned accordingly to the number of players. While playing 1vs1 you should expect more opportunities to crush your opponents, among a few other surprises ;)
As usual, we've fixed some of the reported issues / bugs. We've also made a few adjustements regarding the characters balancing.
If you fancy taking a closer look on those, feel free to look at the #patchnote channel of our Discord!
Friendly reminder that our weekly online tournament is still up and running. So don't hesitate to join us for some good fights or to cheer up your favorite underdogs on Twitch.
WEEKLY TOURNAMENTS:
EVERY THURSDAY FROM 8:00 PM TO 9H30 PM (UTC +1)
REGISTRATIONS: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM (on our Discord)
In summary, this update is expanding the offline experience of the game. Our goal was to give more opportunities for newcomers to enjoy and get better at Ninza without getting annihilated online. Rather than working heavily on one new feature, we've carefully implemented a new AI system. The idea was to build solid and flexible foundations so that we could easily add more content later, if needed.
Indeed, the goal we're aiming for, is to have enough solo content to get a good first impression of the game. So, if the feedbacks ask for more solo content, we will be ready.
What we're planning to add next will change for sure the way you look at Ninza. This might be... some kind of final form? Anyway, thanks again a lot for patience and your amazing support!
From your Ninza Happiness Ninza Social Coordinator,
Welcome Our Primitive Villagers, We are super stoked to give you a sneak peek of what we've been cooking up for PRIMITIVE - a survival game set in the ruthless, yet awe-inspiring Stone Age. Buckle up as we journey through time, exploring our game's unique features - you can read it but you can also just watch the below video - it is up to you!
In-game characters
We are preparing a diverse range of characters and indigenous groups for you to interact with in-game. But don't let their primal allure fool you! Despite the intriguing aesthetic of some of these characters, they epitomize the essence of 'primitive'. They are fierce, uncompromising, and will stop at nothing to ensure their survival, even if it means eliminating you. Remember, in the Stone Age, it's survival of the fittest!
Equipment and Clothing
Our game isn't just about being the strongest or the fastest - it's also about being the smartest. And to survive in this harsh world, you're going to need the right gear. We've designed a ton of primitive tools, weapons, and clothes that are as authentic as they are functional. Get ready to go full caveman mode with your equipment! Here you can see some of them (more in the video).
Crafting, Building, and Climbing
In PRIMITIVE, you're not just surviving, you're thriving. You'll get to craft your tools, build your shelters, and, to put a cherry on top, you'll get to climb. Yeah, you heard that right. Whether you're getting a better view of your surroundings or escaping from a massive mammoth, climbing adds a whole new layer to your gameplay.
Deadly Creatures
What's a Stone Age game without the critters, right? In PRIMITIVE, you'll cross paths with a variety of animals, including mammoth-sized... well, mammoths, and big scary cats known as smilodons. Oh, and did I mention massive prehistoric insects? Yeah, we've got those too. Good luck! Hope you will sleep well after seeing that ːlunar2019crylaughingpigː
Character Customization & User Interface
PRIMITIVE is all about making your mark, and that includes customizing your character. You can see that there is plenty of options to be changed! And reel quick access menu to your inventory? Put there only useful things, you don't want to be surprsied having there only primitive knife.
Level Design
PRIMITIVE isn't just a survival game; it's a world. Our map spans an impressive 64 square kilometers, packed with lush forests, wide-open steppes, murky wetlands, towering mountains, and even frosty ice landscapes. Each biome is teeming with unique flora and fauna, so you'll never get bored exploring.
Village Preview & Biomes
Finally, let's talk about our village hubs. These bustling centers of prehistoric life are your go-to spots for trading, crafting, and meeting other characters. Each village is as diverse as the biomes they're nestled in, promising a dynamic and lively gaming experience.
That's it for now! We are thrilled to share more with you as we continue our journey in developing PRIMITIVE. Here's to living dangerously in the Stone Age!
After a busy weekend in Kyoto for BitSummit, we are finally back in the office working towards the Early Access release. There is only one month left with still a lot to be done. We will be updating our roadmap now that we have a better idea on what each update will contain and have some plans for giving better visibility into the progress between updates via experimental builds and the like.
In preparation for a final playtest we will be removing the BitSummit demo build today. We were very pleased with the response and stability of the demo, so we hope to provide a quality experience again to you all next month. We will be doing one final test and even if you were in previous playtests you have the chance to join the last one.
We appreciate the community a lot and hope to continue to have a close relationship with you all moving forward to do what's best for the game and the player base.
