Radio Free Europa - captainspadge
This update took much longer than intended due to a job I had to take for three weeks putting up fencing. I had intended for 0.9 to be finished by now, but instead I'm releasing this update with most of the performance updates and a few of the balance and visual tweaks that were scheduled for that update. I mostly want to put this out there in case it helps anyone who was having performance issues and also to see if it breaks anything for anyone.

Here is a list of changes:

  • Updated visuals for Boss explosions
  • Added background ships to several levels and updated level lighting
  • Added a ship wireframe to the fitting menu
  • Added a progress map to the end game screen
  • Added player collision to Bosses
  • Performance Improvements

0.9 Shouldn't be too much longer, so stay tuned, and until then I hope people enjoy this update!

Breakwaters: Crystal Tides - Soaring Pixels Games
The Fire Cliffs are a dangerous place where few dare to travel. If you are brave enough to find a way on top of them, you may be rewarded with rare resources. But be wary as strong enemies and steep cliff edges are always nearby. A wrong step and you could find your self floating in the ocean far below. The Fire Cliffs are named for their gas vents which spontaneously combust. Get too close and you may not know what happened.

Some of the big ticket items to look for while you play:
  • Fire Cliffs biome
In the distance you can see pillars of island with exploding gas vents on top... I wonder if its safe to visit and how you can get on top.
  • Green Sea Crystal
Green Sea Crystals attract water and hold it close to them.
  • Titan repelling contraption
If Green Sea Crystals are harnessed correctly, they can be used to ward off Titans from an island.
  • Green Crystal skeletons
Things in this world often dont stay dead for long. I heard that Rock Golems are just fish which have been infected with Sea Crystals and encrusted in stone. Are these Crystal Skeletons the bones of dead sailors?
  • Large Spiders
Be careful you dont get stuck in their web.
  • Spider silk
Useful for quality clothing and fast sails.
  • Silk hat
Its better than a leaf hat!
  • Pig poop explosive gas
If you throw pig poop, it will explode into a gas cloud on impact. Catch that gas cloud on fire and say goodby to everything nearby.
  • Fire arrow
... Because you need a way to light the explosive gas from a distance. Torches are a little too up close and personal. They also catch anything they hit on fire for additional fire damage.
  • Petrified wood
  • Tile floor variants (red, grey, black)
  • Improved world map logic and icons
  • Hungarian and Polish language support added
  • Updates, Quality of life improvements, bug fixes, and optimizations
Player re-spawn logic improvements to place them in better locations. Ferry logic improvements. New characters in the Village. Mission flow improvements. New mermaid boat prow on the highest level boat. Reduced resources needed for some contraptions. The new Female NPC visual variant has been setup in more places.

v0.8.03
-Changed Fire Arrow to have a timer for how long it will burn after hitting a target.
-Improved Ferry descend logic to be smoother and correctly start navigation instead of circling first.

-Setup wings icon for Glider Boats in the Ferry Shop menu for traveling and recovery.

-Update to Black Tile Floor to not take damage from Titan Beams like Black Stone Walls

-Fixed an issue where a terrain mesh could stop rendering near the edge of the camera.

-Fixed an issue where revived boats would not float correctly after being destroyed and the game saved/loaded then the boat revived.
-Update to Player death minimap icon logic so it doesn't show up in other zones.
-Reduced the amount of Seagrass needed for walls, floors, roofs, etc.
-Localization updates.
-Fixed an online object pooling issue where resources would not drop correctly in some situations.
-Setup code to handle an issue where the player could become non-kinematic and "fall" out of the ferry.

-Randomized NPC clothing colors and added some new equipment to some of the npc.

Divine Dawn - Cryswar
Changelog

  • Updated to Renpy 8, which is necessary for future development and will hopefully help Linux/Steam Deck compatibility
  • Fixed some issues with masteries showing up/not showing up inappropriately
  • Added a rest point directly after the Volos battle
  • Added a couple new tools in the cheat menu
  • Various minor bug and typo fixes because Crys cannot be trusted near a keyboard
  • New random event in Deepwoods Heart and revamped the wounded Hob event in Arden Expanse; spare/heal/flask-heal the hob for a small chance of him temporarily joining the party temporarily in Heart. You will need to re-run Expanse and trigger him one more time for this to work.
  • Various UI improvements; the initiative list at top right of battles now shows animated health bars, including temporary allies, and ally sprites show up when selecting them in the ally picker. Maya's expressions get progressively cuter the more Affection she has! This will be expanded on later, but I wanted to try a beta version of that now.
The upgrade from Renpy 7 to 8 may cause unforeseen bugs - I playtested to catch the obvious ones, but some may be more pernicious. Please let me know if you run into any weird issues!

Draconia - Dracosis Games
Hello Draconians!

It has been less than a week since our latest post but we have made more progress which we wanted to show you!

New Ka'sai animations

Swimming animations

Walking backwards - Yes, this means other characters will be able to walk backwards too in the future!

Wyvern rework

The wyvern is getting a facelift. This time you will be able to choose between a version with or without lips in the character creator. However only the appearance changes. The animations will be the same and we won't have to redo any of them!

Goliath crab model

The goliath crabs are being modelled right now and we are looking forward to replacing the old crabs as soon as they are ready!

New European Dragon illustration

A rare preview of our new upcoming cover art.

Lava zone

A new biome made it into the game: The lava zone! Legacy players already had a chance to explore the volcanic area on our old map. However the new lava zone is much larger than it has been before and will play an important role in the life of one particular dragon species. While it has more of a visual functionality right now, it will come with up and down-sides for various species later down the road.

Tutorials

New players have been depending on the help of others and guides for a while now but we finally started to work on the in-game tutorial to cover the basics of the game. We aim to roll out the first part with the next patch and update it as we add new features and mechanics.

This is it for now. We hope to release the next patch in roughly a week and we might have more news for you by then!
