Developer Brendan here with another SNIPERPUNK Dev Blog! This week, we'll be going over our brand-new Vault!
This is the area to check all of your lifetime stats and which items you've encountered! As you select items, abilities, and weapons while playing the game, these entries will unlock, providing a lore description and utility description of the item! Meanwhile, all of your play stats will be accumulated and shown here, showing you stats such as lifetime winrate, favorite item, most played character, and others! Finally, as certain thresholds are met with unlocks, there are some super secret rewards waiting for you (check the gif below!)!
As a quick sneak-peek, here's a video outlining the functionality of the Vault! Also as a bonus, I'm throwing in the lo-fi theme we're using specially for the Vault.
That's All, Folks!
Let us know what you think in our Discord! Have a good week, and Happy Sniping!
Hi every one. Are we ready for another update? We have fixed several critical bugs.
Hot Fix:
Fix Of Blind Color Mode crash. This feature caused the game to crash and shut down. Several experienced that the game only started up in Blind Color Mode, and could not be changed. This has been fixed and tested.
Fix of DirectX Vulkan Crash. When selecting Directx Vulkan the game crashed. This has now been fixed. DX Vulkan has been removed because DX Vulkan is not the future.
Fix of Match game. Problems were detected with Kill Confirmed Bots. This is now fixed and Bots are set to further distance from the enemy.
Fix of Light Issues. Lights on various Maps flashed even though it wasn't built for this. It has now been fixed.
Change:
The Static Mesh has been changed. And therefore it will appear that the Static Mesh has changed or changed location.
Weapon effects have been changed. This helps to give a better effect when shooting experiences.
New weapon sounds have been added to the game. The new sounds are better and clearer.
Clouds have been changed. The new clouds work better in the game than previous clouds.
Changes have been made to the game's structure. which has improved performance and will give better FPS. However, this is still a graphically heavy game and therefore some will experience minimal change.
Welcome to The Deseret Update! No, we didn't spell "desert" wrong, "deseret" is a Utah word that means "hard worker" or "honey bee," and you better believe we've been as busy as bees this past month on this update! Eh? See what I did there? I also had no idea what to call this update since there's a lot of disparate stuff going into it, so let's just buzz right on in, shall we?
New Features
The Final Biome
You know that mysterious and enormous desert region that's blocked off by those pesky Government Agents? Well, rumor has it that the Agents will now leave their posts should the camp achieve a five star reputation rating, and you'll gain access to this secretive, closed off desert region full of historical monuments, strange artifacts and shocking revelations that may reveal answers to some of the camp's many mysteries.
You'll have to find out for yourself what this final biome has in store...
Heat Waves
Remember, only YOU can prevent forest fires! Heat Waves now have a 30% chance of happening any given day, and when they occur, make sure you're being careful about how close you're placing fire sources to trees, or you may start a forest fire! Once started, forest fires set off chain reactions that will spread to any nearby trees, and are very frightening for campers to witness.
Steam Achievements
You've been asking for them, and now they're finally here! This month we've implemented a whopping 44 Steam Achievements for you cheevo hunters out there, so get hunting! These were a lot of fun to come up with, and I hope they will unlock a need to explore everything Camp Canyonwood has to offer! You can find the full list of achievements here: https://steamcommunity.com/stats/1374170/achievements
If you have any suggestions for achievements you'd still like to see, let us know!
