We hope you've all been enjoying exploring the Valley. We wanted to update you guys about what we're working on and what you can look forward to in the future.
Road Map
We've posted this to other platforms, but we do have a roadmap that outlines our progress on the mod, and goes over the remaining updates.
As you can see, there's not a whole lot left. We're currently working on the Ship Event update before wrapping with final Black Reliquary update.
Ship Event Update Details
The Ship Event update will be released on August 11th, and will include:
New Ship Events
Two new plot quests started by Ship Events, including our first Darkest (Lv 6) quest
Philomath Class add-on
Thrall Class add-on
Symptom/Disease system adjustments
New Celestial Trinkets and some adjustments to their progression
Replacement of Ancestral trinkets: "Twilight" rarity trinkets
New rare Estate items that allow heroes to change their affiliation
Many balance changes and adjustments
Here are some examples of what we're working on:
Ship Event Progress
While we've had a lot of different ideas for Ship Events, many of them unfortunately had to be canned due to limitations of Darkest Dungeon modding and time constraints.
We're looking to add a total of 25 new ship events, ranging from events that provide simple buffs on your next expedition to introducing new, more difficult challenges.
Here are just a couple examples of some Ship Events: The shooting competition ship event as pictured here is planned to offer up ranged bonuses for the next quest.
This gambling-lock event is the result of some bestial hijinks that got out of hand.
This last ship event depicts the remains of a brew that was corrupted by Cactonid spawn, resulting in a somewhat explosive beverage.
We'll be showcasing more of these town events in future Captain's Logs.
Symptom/Disease Changes
The first Symptom/Disease adjustment we've made is to make it so that disease kits are able to completely remove freshly acquired symptoms. Previously, we wanted to make tended symptoms and diseases cheaper to remove, but sadly that wasn't an option, therefore it often felt like a waste of money to buy the disease kits, as you'd still have to remove disease in the Clinic. To somewhat balance this change out, the time for the symptom to evolve was halved.
Special Disease Changes
We've also made some adjustments to the Ghoul Plague and Rictus Mortis special diseases (the latter of which is available when the Hexer Class add-on is enabled). These two diseases have some special effects which make them a valuable part of a character under specific circumstances. An issue with those diseases however, was that it was difficult to keep people with just that disease, as any way of curing diseases had a risk of curing the special diseases too. We're adjusting them as to make it so that they push out common diseases as well as prevent the hero from getting any other diseases . This way you can retain your team of special heroes without risk of clearing the status. However, these special diseases will not be curable on the Flameseeker, and instead need be cured by camp skills or curios. Additionally, Ghouls will no longer randomly apply Ghoul Fever to your heroes in combat.
Philomath Addon
The Philomath is a counter-defense support hero with potential high damage options, but at the cost of being exceptionally frail. Her power and fragility are substantially amplified upon affliction, coupled with unique relationships to stress.
To have her fit into BR, we've had to rebalance the stats on herself and her skills. We've also adjusted her to be Pagan-favoring, which is reflected in some of her abilities. Due to her increased value in the prep round, some aspects have been dialed back accordingly.
We've gotten a handle on her skills and her trinkets, but there's still a lot of art assets that need to be finalized for her to be release-ready.

Hey there, the new update has over 200 new images, 19 animations, four new songs, and almost ten new sound effects. There's a full six thousand words of new story as well, bringing the total to over twenty thousand words in this edition. Last but not least, there are two new achievements as well.
This a small update to fix an issue found by our community, and the addition of small changes/content.
From now on, players are able to cancel construction from both the CCC window and the Construction List of C.A.T.
We also update how the death mechanic works in Penkura, all items and mods will be now located in the backpack that is left with the body, but the item in "At Hand" will be dropped next to the body.

β On player death, all mods will be added to the player's backpack (located next to the body).
β If the player had any equipment/weapon added to "At Hand" holstered or not, it will appear next to the player's body after death.
β Improved C.A.T life/bot detection system, warning alarm, and building construction pause will now activate before the first stage of construction not after.
β Players are now able to cancel construction from within the CCC screen.
β Players are now able to cancel construction from C.A.T construction list.
β Minor visual adjustment to Communication UI and Tutorial UI.
This is just a small bug fix patch to address a common multiplayer desync related to the recently introduced research queue. It also adds info to tooltips about which hotkey corresponds to a given item in the UI if applicable.
Quality of Life:
+ Hotkeys are now displayed in the tooltip of the corresponding UI element (can be turned off in the settings)
Bug fixes:
* Fixed a desync related to the research queue when trying to research more than one technology of a selection group (where you have to choose one technology) * Limited the max amount of research queue targets to 10 to prevent a localization issue
Anime girl will be back. The asset got into the game by mistake, but the Asset Author Kevin (Aboulicious) and I resolved this issue on friendly terms. Moreover, Kevin kindly agreed to make a new waifu for us, which will soon appear in the game. Thank him very much! https://www.twitch.tv/aboulicious
Thanks to those who noticed the flaws in the game. Sometimes novice developers find themselves in such situations, and even official marketplaces for developers can sell kits containing other people's assets. (Epic does not thoroughly check each 3D model) Also on sites for the distribution of 3D models, scammers selling other people's work can come across, as well as assets can get into the game from freelancers and other team members from their personal libraries. It's tricky to follow and humble young developers are not safe. But thanks to those authors who are sympathetic and friendly to colleagues.
Now All assets in the game are purchased or licensed for commercial use. (Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 License) Authors are credited on the home page.
At the request of the players, a special elevator has been added that moves through the levels and all the way to the midpoint. This is for those who want to restore progress, or who have little time to play.
And yes, since the game is mainly run by one developer, there will be no time left for the discord server, and therefore it will be closed soon.
The plan is to keep working on YMBaL for the time being, but if this game makes at least the $100 payment required by Steam, then I will take a few weeks off and put together a v1.3 patch for it with performance improvements and QoL changes!
