Hello everyone! First of all, thank you for supporting the game in this early state!
I've been collecting feedback and took some decisions that I think it will make the game even better.
Let's start witht the bad news...
Possible uncompatibility with past Saves.
As I upgrade the game, some uncompatibilities may happen at some point, I just didn't thought it would be so early. Regardless, I have learnt some stuff about it and I'll take more cautious approach on things in the future.
Possible compensation: In compensation for those who advanced a lot, I'll attempt to add an NPC who will give a password based on how far you got, and once you start a new file, you can input the password and collect your reward. (At least this is the plan, if for some reason something changes or something prevents it from being implemented, I'll let you know).
Timing Attacks Removed:
These were causing me a headache to program properly, and a lot of players found it little intuitive and difficult to use. These will be replaced by a Combo System explained below
Now let's go for the good news!
New HUD system, diagonal movement and movement speed increase while holding the left mouse button.
Combo System
Rather than using QTE like with Timing Attacks, this time the skills will have enhanced effects based on how the player chains their attacks.
Example:
Heal: Heal a small amount. Combo: If used after using Focus > Remove all basic status ailments. Pawssion Gauge System (temptative name)
There will be a new Gauge that will fill by using Combos (it's visible in the video above with a Heart icon). This Gauge will increase its size as you gain affection and complete quests through the game. These abilities will be an extra resource for the player.
Items: Items no longer consumes the player turn, instead they will be set on cooldown. Upon usage the item category may be set on cooldown while others may set the whole inventory in cooldown, it will depend on the item.
When the patch will be released?
I plan to patch a portion at the end of July, othewise it may take an additional month or two. It depends on how smoothly the development goes.
Update content 1. When vrm avatar is selected, in the shortcut panel settings, all face channels of vrm can be edited as shortcut keys to trigger 2. Fix the problem of opening the mouth occasionally when the corner of the mouth is bent down in face tracking
• Skill info now includes whether it is a “Physical” or “Magical” attack. • Gwen hero reward and Book Of the Undead skill moved to the Deadlands. No longer available from Colosseum or Cragkeep boss. Miltonius and Death (DEV) skill rewards removed from Cragkeep boss. Moving towards a more pure play through of the game. Cheats are still available. • Cragkeep’s zone boss now drops Dwarf King Crag as a “first time” drop reward. Meaning, he will not drop if you’ve already beaten him. Will require a reset. • Grove Fairy nerfs: Lowered health. Poison does 1% (Was 5%) of max health. Max stacks: 10 • Nyssa’s zone 1 node incentive fixed. Name change caused bug where you could not complete incentive. • Moro and Okami now drop as level 25. We’re dropping as level 1. New Skills: • Holy Relic: Holy moly, this used to belong to a powerful paladin. Your attacks on undead and demons now stun and burn them with holy fire! • Unholy Sacrifice: Sacrifices caster's life instantly to an old god who will destroy and enemy of your choice after 5 turns. Equipping this, prevents you from resurrecting. • Grave Marker: This relic applies an extinction debuff on all enemies! If a target is killed with this debuff, they cannot resurrect. • Reaper Curse: At the end of duration, does 10% of target's max health. Max stacks: 10 Refreshing stacks will activate curse damage. Also reduces healing. (Cannot be removed)
Custom Skill Changes: • Rage: Damage increased from 10% to 20%. Max Stacks: 20 Gain extra rage when critically hit. • Titan Wall gives titan defense to whole team for 2 turns. • Vampirism no longer has a cooldown for consuming blood on your target to heal. Zone 5 Playable Enemy Rewards: • Dreadfiend • Fiendlord • Fiendknight • War Duke • Sanguine Prince • Leatherhead • Skeletons • Zombie Reaper • Zombie Babe • Zombie Rogues • Blood Spirit • Blood Slime
Extras: •New transition flight background art for: Cragkeep, Halcyon and Deadlands. • Spug Arena: Tecnic now has first time encounter dialogue.
