Good morning everyone! As we all know, the Summer Sales are here, and I haven't finished the new update yet. I plan to have the update done this week, I just need to finish the last few bits of the new dungeon and than I'll be sending the game to my playtesters to check for bugs and glitches so that the update is much better than the last big update! Due to missing some of the Steam Summer sales for the new update I plan to do a small giveaway sometime in the near future, though I'm still not sure of what, how, or when. But I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on when it happens!

It's the 1st of the month and you know what time it is - more updates! This month, I've been working on a highly requested feature, player (or vampire) customization. Here's what it looks like in action ✨
Over time, I'll be adding more hairstyles, outfits, and colors so you'll be able to mix and match as you please. You'll also be able to customize your bat form. I'm also looking for suggestions if you have a favorite hairstyle you want me to add!
Interacting with your townsfolk is essential to building relationships and completing quests. Here's Clara in the General Store receiving a gift you got her.
Apart from the General Store, I've also started working on what the Hotel looks like from the inside. Chauncey, the hotel's concierge is there ready to greet and serve guests that visit your town.
As part of maintaining your town, you'll be able to customize, upgrade, and manage the rooms in the Hotel to cater to specific guests. Each room will have a cleanliness and prestige score depending on what furniture is placed in it, and how clean it is while it's occupied.

I want to ensure that you can easily subscribe to mods and activate them when starting a new game. You create exceptional mods, and it's essential that you can share and enjoy them in the best possible way.
I understand that this will take time and effort, but I'm committed to providing you with a clear, intuitive, and enjoyable mods interface. I want you to be able to customize your gaming experience seamlessly and immerse yourself in bringing your ideas to life and sharing your creations with the community.

Nordic Ashes: Survivors of Ragnarok - Noxfall Studios
Good day vikings! Today we are celebrating 1 Year since we launched the Nordic Ashes Demo whoop whoop!! This will be a nice and lengthy post, but filled with love and positive energy ofc (and surprises).
And nothing of this would be real if it wasn’t for you! So we want to thank you once again for your amazing support, all your comments and great ideas! We are so happy to have been able to implement many of the suggestions you have made.
Many of you already know our team a little bit, but for those who don’t, we wish to introduce ourselves :D
We are Noxfall Studios, an independent team of 3 developers. Each of us specializes in one field but we also do a bit of everything else (copyrighting texts, managing translations, social networks etc). We’re happy to do it this way, that way we can manage everything from the inside and make our own decisions.
Axeldör, is the game director. He came up with the idea of this game after enjoying survivor games during this childhood days and later playing other games such as Vampire Survivors. He’s programmer and designer and is always thinking about new ways to improve the game and create new mechanics for every new character and boss.
Fengos, programmer and designer, will always be sure everything is perfectly placed in each realm. He also does a lot of testing, which is essential during the development.
Naya is our community manager, but on top of all, our 2D artist. Everything you see in-game has been drawn and designed by her: characters, enemies, props, UI… literally everything.
Anniversary Skins
Oh, and the surprise… we’ve designed an exclusive skin for every character!! That means 8 skins total in this new update!
The way of unlocking them is pretty easy, you must beat 3 different realms with each character to earn their skin. And for those who have already played a ton, you will already have them unlocked automatically! We hope you really enjoy them as much as we do. It has been so fun designing them and bringing them to life!

Nordic Ashes Artbook
We are working on an Artbook!! Of course, there’s still a lot of work to be done, as we’re just halfway through the development of the game, but it’s finally coming together! It’s gonna be EPIC!
And last but not least (definitely not least, I’d say LAST AND BEST):
Gnöki plush!!
Wait wait, WHAT?! Gnöki plush on its way! So many of you have requested a Gnöki plush… and it’s finally going to become a reality!! We are working on the plush design already and we will be able to talk more about it in a few weeks. We couldn’t wait to share the news… WE ARE SO FREAKING EXCITED! Here’s the schematic of the plush… it’s so adorable OMG!!!
I (Naya) have already chosen the perfect spot for him in my room, just beside me next to my tablet, he will be my co-working companion, yay!!

We really appreciate your kindness and patience, we are so grateful to have you here! There’s still a lot of content to be released. For instance, next week Helheim Realm will be officially launched. In the following weeks we will focus on improving every aspect related to performance, game modes, tutorials, etc.
A lot of technical work is being done for Reign Of The Legends at this time. There are a few things we need to work out for the next update. Let's jump in!
Coding
Netcode Adjustments
In the last few weeks, a lot of effort has been put into Netcode improvements for Reign of The Legends. A large bulk of the coding work the whole month of June has gone towards this mission specifically. We are still testing out changes in the netcode at the time of writing.
Steam Deck compatibility and debugging
We have received numerous reports of Reign of The Legends not functioning properly on the Steam Deck. In these past few weeks, we have started looking into potential fixes. We do not have much to share on the matter currently, but we are definitely planning to continue looking into this issue in the future.
Spring Heeled Jack
Spring Heeled Jack is practically complete. There are still some small adjustments to be made for the character. Mostly, we are still making sure the character functions properly and is balanced. Sounds have been completely implemented and all moves are in the game. We are excited to have this character in your hands!
Bug Fixes
As always, the team is hunting down any bugs in the game and eliminating them as best we can. Please continue to report anything found to the team either via Discord or on the Steam Discussions page.
Animations
The Invisible Man
The Invisible Man's animations are all complete! The character has all attacks, reactions, specials, and unleashed attacks ready. This character has also received his alternate color schemes. We have not started implementing this character into the game yet, as doing so would result in further delays for Spring Heeled Jack. The character is ready to be coded into the game, however it will be a little wait.
Bonus Fighters
In the mean time, due to The Invisible Man's animations being complete, we have actually began working on our three bonus fighters' animations! We do plan to reveal these fighters later in the year. For the time being, know that they are still planned for release before the game is completed. We still would like to clarify that these characters are a large part of the Reign of The Legends story, and are treated as Bonus fighters.
Other News
New Announcer
The team has been looking into changing the announcer's voice for Reign of The Legends. We are looking for a different feel than the current announcer. We are also looking for a new announcer due to having to record additional lines now with the inclusion of the Bonus Fighters. Additionally, the team has decided to rename The White Lady. The team has been set on a simple change, "The Lady In White."
The Erase Warehouse and Frankenstein's Sanctuary
As we prepare for the next major update, The Erase Warehouse and Frankenstein's Sanctuary will receive their final adjustments. We are planning to add the final polish to these stages and ensure their total functionality. The plan is still set to have these stages release with Spring Heeled Jack.
EVO 2023
Once again, EVO approaches! The team has begun work on a new trailer for 2023! We plan to showcase the game once again, perhaps a bit more in depth, with hopes of attracting new players. We are also looking to show off a bit more of Spring Heeled Jack! We're looking forward to participating once again in the Indie Fighting Game Showcase!
It has been a busy month for the team, and there is still plenty of work to be done. We'll continue to update you when we can, and we are hoping to have the next major update done as soon as possible. There is a lot more to it than just Jack's implementation. As the initial translations are made using machine translation there may be some words or phrases that can be improved in any particular language. Because of this, the language files are stored separately from the base game files in a folder called LanguageFiles, and can be editted directly. Soon I will setup a public git repository, allowing players to submit corrections to help improve the localizations for others. We also ran into a problem with the Bulgarian files, but will have them up shortly. We've also added a new function that will automatically switch to the language that a new players OS is using when they are opening the game for the first time, but that didn't quite make it into this patch and likewise will be added in soon.
If there is anything missing from the translations please let me know and I will make sure they get added into the system.
