Islands of the Caliph - MKSchmidt
The Demo has been updated to version 0.3.9

Manual
A text file with instructions has been uploaded to the game's installation folder. When in-game you may now press F2 to call up the manual. The manual presents a lot of detailed information about how to play Islands of the Caliph, including some hints that may help players who feel like they are stuck.

Other Stuff
A couple small changes have been made to the Isle of Tarbiyyah. The woman who talks about her sister is more direct in describing her sister as a monster-part merchant, since this is an important aspect of the game's early economic opportunities. Also, I included a trainer on the Island so the player may upgrade some of their stats, instead of having to go all the way back to Slam Island to do so.

Paper Pirates - Matio
Recap your voyage in more detail with the History and Mystery Update!
Jump aboard Paper Pirates to explore the History and Mystery Update, featuring a refreshed game history feature, two new traits, a new event, and more!

New and Improved Game History
Our end-of-game recap screen, the Game History, was built for a simpler time when pirates didn't have things like traits. Although it's grown with us over time, it was starting to fall behind in providing a transparent recap of everything that happened in the game. So, we rebuilt it!

The new Game History includes more precise details, such as letting you know who voted for a Mutiny, as well as better handling of trait-influenced team changes and clearer indicators of when team changes happen.

Each day, you can review the job and who played in, see a summary of the events that took place, and check the outcome of voting. If you want to dig a little deeper, the details panel on the right will walk you through the day in detail.

You can also check who voted for who, who became a ghost, and what the probabilities were, in the Voting Chart!

Last but not least, there's a bigger, bolder, and better final page in the Game History that more clearly indicates who on the crew were on the winning team. Open up the chart here and you can see exactly how your game played out over time!

We love the new Game History and hope that it will help you better dissect your games. This was a huge project given the variety of voyages, and there might be the odd event or outcome that's missing text. We'll be keeping our eye out and patching these up as we go!

New Trait: The Silent
One of two new traits for the History and Mystery Update is The Silent!

The Silent's votes are always secret. That means it will always appear as if they passed their vote, even if they didn't. Should The Silent cast enough votes to throw someone overboard, the voting will still end immediately. If you're The Silent and want to stay hidden, make sure you're casting votes where you won't be exposed.

And if you're not The Silent? Be wary. Joke votes sink boats! And with The Silent on board, you can never know exactly who might have been ghosted when a human goes overboard...

New Trait: The Gambler
Another new trait for the History and Mystery Update is The Gambler!

On days when they don't play in, The Gambler is offered two events. One of these will have a high chance of happening, and one of them will have a low chance of happening. Whether The Gambler is a ghost or a human, the high-chance event will normally be good for their team, while the low-chance event will be bad for their team.

Are you willing to take a risk on a good event knowing what bad things might happen? Can you get away with risking it all and claiming that your events were the other way round?

Whether on the ghost team or the human team, The Gambler is sure to have you questioning whether you feel lucky!

New Event: Counting the Treasure
Our new event for the History and Mystery update is Counting the Treasure!

In a Counting the Treasure event, one pirate will be randomly selected to take on responsibility for counting the treasure. But never fear, they'll have help from three other pirates! Those three pirates will all see a number of coins on their device: Either 1, 2, or 3 coins. Their job is to tell the counting pirate how many coins they can see, so the counting pirate can add them up and report the total on their device.

If you count correctly - amazing! The crew get another treasure! However, if you get it wrong, in the confusion it seems one of your current treasure will be whisked away before you can know it.

How much do you trust the three pirates chosen to help count the treasure? If it all goes wrong, who will you blame...?

Match, Talk, Date! - A modern dating sim! - Thelastreturn
I'm excited to reveal that the Steam store page of ‘Match, Talk, Date! - A modern dating sim!’ is now live!

Don't forget to wishlist the page to stay up-to-date when the game releases!

‘Match, Talk, Date!’ is a modern take on the classic dating sim genre, where you use a dating app to chat to a diverse cast of unique characters and eventually ask them to go out on a date with you! Play how you want and date who you want, both men and women are available!

Can you convince them to go out on a date with you, or are you going home alone?

Thank you all for your support, and see you in the next update!

Lawless Lands - Corrosive Studios [Dev]
Lawless Lands

Hey everyone!

This is just a heads up that Lawless Lands is now officially recognized by Steam as being compatible with the Steam Deck and is now visible on the store page!

It has been listed as playable - everything works as it should, but it doesn't show controller buttons in game! You can of course change them though by using the Steam Deck/Steam Controller binding configuration utilities at will!

Because Lawless Lands uses the same engine, code, and configuration as my other games, Chaos Chain, Disgraced, and Waste Walkers, they are also playable and will be officially announced soon!

Also, because my games use the steam cloud, this means that you can play your game on your computer, save the game, and then pick up right where you left off on your steam deck the next time you play!

Enjoy Lawless Lands on your Steam Decks!

Starlight: Defence Command - Nanite Games Ltd
Hi all,

This update brings a few fixes and a general engine update to keep it current, but the main highlight here is the ability for the game to scale the resolution down to smaller screens while maintaining its aspect ration. The main driver for this is that I would like to get the game verified on the Steam Deck. There's still a lot to do, so this is the first step in making that happen.
Starlight: Defence Command is however playable on the Steam Deck right now. With the screen size able to scale down to the 1200 x 800 resolution needed and a community control layout you're able to enjoy this game out on the go - I have been all week.

New
  • The resolution now automatically scales for smaller screens below the native 1920 x 1080 that the game uses. (There's no change to the scaling used to push the resolution up for larger screens).
  • The game will run on a Steam Deck. I would advise setting the game to full screen and adjusting the font size to your taste. There is a community keyboard layout added that adds some of the main hotkeys to the mouse and keyboard layout that Steam has.
Updates
  • Gamemaker engine updated to current.
  • Input 5 module updated to current.
  • Steam integration updated to current. The game now verifies that there is a legitimate steam key.
  • Additional backend tidy up.
Fixes
  • Fixed an intermittent sound loop bug.
  • The minigame, 'Blast' should be playable again now that the controls have been reconfigured.
  • Fixed an intermittent bug in the flow of mission 5 when Sergeant Lin gets attacked..
  • Fixed a bug in mission 13 if a Satellite Relay gets destroyed.
  • Fixed an intermittent bug in the events system when displaying damaged towers.

Hi! Another update is out with some more general fixes and tweaks.

  • Fixed an issue where the BeetleBud was unable to damage a specific boss
  • Further adjusted the BeetleBud’s attack range
  • Stopped the BeetleBud from colliding with enemies, which would sometimes result in it pushing enemies directly into the player, among other unwanted interactions
