We're glad to see you in our 'Paint by Cubes' community!
We'd been able to setup our Steampage recently and we're still finishing some of the preparations to make this environment as useful and clear to you as possible :)
We're trying to consistently to fill our game's page with animated gifs, game details and to update screenshots in order to make it more and more clear for the players what the gameplay loop is and to let them feel the colorful, relaxing world of our painting.
We're now working on our first trailer, that will surely explaing game mechanics even better and will be a good source of information for any new people, that are looking for relaxing puzzle games!
Demo announcement
This is the most important information of this event, the thing that lots of people are asking us on our social media ;)
We're currently finishing our first demo build in order to publish it in upcoming weeks. We've already hosted some small scale playtests and we're improving the first time user experience and some of the info popups so that it will be even more clear how to start your adventure with 'Paint by Cubes' and which way to go later on as you'll get some progress in the solved puzzles ;)
We're currently waiting for our Demo's Steam page acceptation, so we'll be uploading the demo version of the game on the 3th of July!
The package with demo build was already accepted by Steam support, the Steam page required a small change to the game icons, so now it's just a formality to be ready for the great release :)
Fixed a lot of little bugs and improved interface. Still working on Chapter 2, just got ropes and climbing working and finished with most of the maps. Hopefully it will be out at the same time Warlordocracy leaves early access in August (maybe shortly after due to Steam technicalities).
Complete list of fixes:
-Attacking ground no longer targets corpses. -Fixed bug where you could shoot through doors if not diagonal. -Hot keys now work while paused, ALT+ENTER now toggles full screen mode. -MapNoNight variable now also disables weather and automatically counts as indoors. -Fixed bug where you would attack when trying trying to use large objects and colliding with them. -Fixed script bug where smoking herbs with a pipe wouldn't delete the herb (also, pipe no longer usable in combat). -New objects: treeSwampDead, plantSwamp, swampWarning, obelisk, vine, paddle, wallTile (1 to 4). -Fixed bug where hungry wouldn't show up in tooltips if 50+ ("statusNoTip" script command). -Arrows and bolts now sometimes appear on ground after shot, not in target's inventory. -Low Education grammar fuckups now only happen if choice begins with double quote. -Finished climbing scripts for hookRope, hookRopeLong, vine, and vineLong. -Added link to website in main menu.
