Speedrunning Contesst | $350 Prize Pool | Steam Next Fest Celebration!

The Karters 2: Turbo Charged - SBoczek

To celebrate #SteamNextFest, we're thrilled to announce our very first Speedrunning Contest with a $350 prize pool! (LiveSplit supported!)

How to participate:

1. Download the demo available during SteamNextFest
2. Download the LiveSplit software.
3. Run LiveSplit -> Right-click on time -> Edit Splits -> Write the complete name "The Karters 2: Turbo Charged" in the Game Name field.
4. The Activate button should appear! Activate to enable The Karters 2 Live Split support (the time will run only during races).
5. Press OK. and close the Edit Splits window.
6. Right-click on LiveSplit -> Choose Compare Against -> Choose "Game Time" (this ensures the time is counted only during races).
7. Run the game and start the 1st challenge! After the countdown, the LiveSplit timer should start, and it should stop during Pause/Game Loading.

Rules:

1. The contest is about completing all 20 in-game challenges in the shortest time.
2. Runs are recommended to be streamed live (on Twitch/Youtube). LiveSplit is required. If you can't stream, upload the video to youtube.
3. Post your run and time on our discord speedrun contest channel (create a thread: discord.gg/TheKarters).
4. Share your run on your Twitter account, tag @TheKarters2 (without space), and use the #speedrunTK2 hashtag.
5. The contest starts right now and ends with Steam Next Fest on June 26 at 10:00 AM PDT (UTC-7).

HOTFIX 2.6.3

Into the Radius VR - Darius_ITR

🔸 Fixed a bug where enemies occasionally became invisible and non-aggressive with guns floating next to them.
🔸 Targets in the Shooting Range now always pop back up when the button is pressed.
🔸 Added save files compression so that they take up less space in the cloud and are always saved.
🔸 Fixed a number of visual bugs related to lighting, shadows, fog, and flashlight.
🔸 Fixed a bug in the Difficulty Settings.
🔸 The player can no longer move in the final choice scene if they have opened the pause menu.
🔸 Random anomalies that are disabled in the settings no longer make sounds.
🔸 Fixed localization errors.

Devlog – New features and improvements

Spark in the Dark - Spark in the Dark

Hello everyone!

Here we have gathered the main improvements we have made in the Dargroth Dungeon over the past few months.

These enhancements (along with some others currently in progress) will be available in the Spark in the Dark demo update, which we plan to release in September.

Armor Update

We have revamped and improved almost all the armors in the game, as well as created new ones. The armors are now more intricately detailed and realistic. We have also enhanced the lore aspect, and the armors now come with updated descriptions.

Talismans and Amulets

You will be able to find talismans and amulets in the Dungeon. Besides increasing various characteristics, they can also impact some of the hero's abilities.

New Weapons

We have added new hammers, axes, and some other weapons. Previously, their variety was minimal, but now it has been improved.

New Locations and Interactions

Despite the current focus of Dungeon construction on floors 2 and 3, we occasionally make improvements to floor 1 of Dargrot. We have added several new locations and interactions, as well as selectively updated some existing ones.

Added the "Secret Traps" skill book that the Thief can find and study. This allows them to disarm traps in chests. The variety of traps found on chests will be increased.

Additionally, numerous smaller improvements and fixes have been made along the way, taking into account your feedback.
