I am about to release a new content update on the beta branch this summer with 5 first levels of the new Cave environment. This level with the Spider Queen will be included, and will be the third one of World 3.
The only last thing I need to push the update is a name for our dear 8 legged lady.

In a recent tweet I asked for name ideas and honestly it was a blast to read your nice suggestions. As I did for previous NPCs, I created a poll to help me make a decision and I would like you to make a choice following your preferences.

Level design-wise you start this level like other ones with a NPC. Once dialog ends, your quest starts. You have to help the Spider Queen reach the end of the Cave by toggling on/off red and blue blocks. If Spider Queen is not on the ground, she will spread a spider web and will stay in the air safely. Jump on her back to make her walk again. That's the main mechanic you'll have to deal with in the whole level, plus ofcourse a few extra secret areas.

We hope you enjoyed last week's Combat Design deep dive by our Lead Designer Dennis. Today, we leap into two new features coming in the first chapter of the Age of War – Clan Hoards and Clan Emblems.

Clan Hoards

If you've dreamed of building a vault and filling it with treasure that you've found on your adventures, then we have good news, because that's exactly what this is! As you explore the world, you will now have a chance of finding treasure in chests and on the bodies of vanquished enemies in the form of coins or other valuable objects.


To designate an area for your hoard, you must craft a Treasure Coffer and place it within your base. This will create a circle within which you can place your treasure. Your personal treasurer, who stands next to the Coffer, will tally up your total hoard's worth.

Your growing hoard will display in two ways - through piles of coins, and through placeable objects. Most treasure will sit snugly in your inventory space, but not heavy treasures. These exceptional trophies must be lugged back to your base in your hands, through wilderness and enemies.


How will you spend this mighty hoard, you ask? Besides the inherent satisfaction of seeing your base overflowing with gold and hard-earned trophies, you will in later chapters be able to spend your amassed riches on certain... aid. We will share more on this later.

A clan is by no means required to have a hoard. If you prefer to build your own personal vault, on a mountaintop, and let no one lay eyes upon it, under the penalty of death, that's your prerogative. In Conan Exiles, the edge of your weapon makes the rules. Well, that and server settings.

Clan Emblems

In Chapter 1 of Age of War, you'll be able to create a custom emblem that represents your clan. The emblem can be crafted through the new Clan Emblem Workbench. Here, you can combine a main symbol, based on various cultures, and a background. The color for each of these is also up to you.


Once your emblem is done, you'll be able to display it on armor, shields, banners, and more. Hang your banner at the entry to your clan's base to make it clear who rules here.

Bringing players together, for war!

Both of these features are designed to be enjoyed as a solo player and in multiplayer. On a PvP server, if you're killed while carrying treasure, another player can pick it up and bring it to their base in their inventory. You can of course also raid another player or clan's base and rob them blind! If you plunder another player or clan’s hoard, you must carry it away in a heavy sack. While doing so, you will move slowly and be unable to defend yourself.


With emblems, clan members and their bases will become immediately identifiable (should they want to be), as they can carry their emblem on their gear and hang it on walls. To increase the social aspect further yet, the default server settings will now show which players are online at all times.

As we stand at the precipice of this new age, we can't wait to see you all take the plunge. And as you experience the tragedy and glory of plunder and war with other clans, do not forget that Stygia is coming...

After the last blog post about the upcoming phase of Germany Rework, we’ve seen many questions about whether the popular city of Hamburg will be included in this phase as well. Well, wonder no more as we can officially confirm that Hamburg will receive a completely new look in the 1.48 update for Euro Truck Simulator 2!


Founded in the 9th century, Hamburg quickly became a prominent trading hub due to its advantageous position along the Elbe River and its access to the North Sea. Throughout the centuries, Hamburg flourished as a key member of the Hanseatic League, an influential medieval trading alliance. Its success as a trading center led to economic prosperity and cultural development, attracting merchants and artists from around the world. Today, Hamburg remains a vital economic powerhouse, boasting one of Europe's busiest ports and a thriving maritime industry.









Having paid extra detail to the local port, after rebuilding Hamburg from the ground up, this bustling port city will captivate with its grandeur and magnificence, offering not only an expanded size with an addition of Maschener Kreuz but also a delightful passage over the Köhlbrand Bridge. While our focus primarily lay in embracing the city’s essence, the city has unveiled many new surprises when it comes to landmarks, such as the presence of towers near gas stations, where our dedicated team made pit stops during our small research expedition.







Hamburg concludes the list of German cities that will receive a new look in the upcoming 1.48 update. Southeastern High Speed
  • Added new services to the timetable
    - Timetable is ready for Thameslink Class 700 EMU
    - The Kentish Crompton railtour using WSR Class 33 & Spirit of Steam Mk1s
    - The Medway Valley Crompton railtour using WSR Class 33 & Northern Trans-Pennine Mk2s*
    - 1O99 and 1S87 railtours using Northern Trans-Pennine Class 47 & Mk2s
    - Additional steam-hauled seasonal AI only railtour at Strood (Nov/Dec)
    - Additional seasonal static stock throughout the route using various, already in-use addons
    - Tweaked how peak-time Class 465 turnback procedures work at Strood to be more prototypical
    - Total number of playable services should be 710 with all layers activated (including Class 700)

  • Added new paths for use in Scenario Designer
    - Making better use of more platforms at each station, for example, can now spawn trains at Strood Platform 3

  • Added EMT Class 43 layers to SEH scenarios.
  • PIS Display will now show “A service formed of X coaches” text.
  • Changed a ‘Go Via’ to correctly be a ‘Stop at’ near Hoo Junction Siding 27
  • Fixed an issue where an AI service near St. Pancras appeared to be going backwards.
  • Fixed descriptions with incorrect starting points and destinations.
  • Fixed issue with long text getting cut on PIS Displays.
  • Various fixes to prevent crashes.

Please Note: The Medway Valley Crompton railtour has one caveat in order to be correctly drivable; you must briefly go into the lead cab of the rear locomotive and toggle the brakes from Shutdown, into Full Service, and back into Shutdown. This will allow for a proper release of the brakes and without this, you will not be able to move the train.

London Commuter
  • Fixed an issue with wagons not loading on 6O47 services.
Ornament Express - Ornament Express
We are thrilled to present you with our latest update, packed with exciting enhancements and improvements for an even more immersive experience. In this patch, we have focused on enhancing the game's visuals, optimizing gameplay, and addressing various bugs and issues. From a visually stunning train overhaul to the addition of new voice-overs, we have left no stone unturned in our quest to bring you the best time aboard the Ornament Express.



Visuals
The train has received a significant visual overhaul, featuring new models and materials. Additionally, the colors have been completely revamped to enhance the game's atmosphere.

  • The Quit game button now has a reset timer.
Suitcase
  • The lid of the suitcase will now close after the player has placed the Curio.
Drawers
  • Sliding interactions with drawers now provide haptic feedback.
Gameplay
  • Grabbing objects is now easier.
  • The phone now only starts ringing when you actually get close to it.

Improvements/Bug fixes

Train
  • Increased performance by removing upper windows of the cart.
Props & Objects
  • Fixed an issue where the Flytrap would bug out when fed immediately as it opens up.
  • The Flytrap now only closes its mouth when the bone is taken out.
  • The Plant now starts with its mouth open.
  • The eyes in the glass jar will now look at the player while holding any of the snap points.
  • Replaced Eyeball Jar references in Letters & Newspapers.
  • The bone now has proper shading and a grab pose.
  • Removed delay from the apple when eaten.
Credits
  • Updated the credits to reflect changes in roles.
  • Added new credits for voice actors.
Game Transitions
  • Added a fade-out effect between the nature cart and the thieves' office.
Puzzles
  • Puzzle buddies now lock after completion, and rewards are now locked beforehand.
Fonts
  • Fonts have been changed for more consistency on the start game screen.
Geometry Fixes
  • Drawers no longer cause blackout issues.
  • Door to the thieves office now has a fadeout and properly is fit in the door hole
  • Fixed missing face on a door.
  • The Choo Choo handle no longer has fade out effect.
  • Added a fadeout effect to the door in the thieves' office.
  • It is no longer possible to step on top of the bookcase ledge.
  • The player no longer bumps up at certain shelves.
  • Numlock door cannot be teleported trough anymore
Physics
  • The candle now adheres to the laws of physics.
  • Breakables now behave more consistently when hit with an object.
  • The numlock door animations now cancels when the player grabs it.
Visual Fixes
  • Replaced the visual preview for item placement.
  • Updated the frame texture for the map.
  • Fixed a table leg sticking out.
  • Control setting sliders now display values.
  • Outlines now work on doors, sliders, and levers.
  • Adjusted lighting to ensure it no longer drastically changes the appearance of moving items.
  • Optimized materials used in the Nature cart.
  • Updated images for the Eye jar in photos and newspapers to reflect the model change accurately.
  • Realigned the smoke of the pipe to accurately emit from the pipe.
  • The Monstera plant now has a new texture.
  • All scratch marks now have a consistent visual appearance.
  • Fixed the position of the door at the end of the Nature Cart.

Hey everyone! I thought you prologue players might like to know that the demo is now live as part of Steam Next Fest!

For the first time, Plutus, the Greek god of wealth is playable, and it features new cards, god powers, and more enemies.

This demo will only be around for a limited time so make sure you go and check it out! As always, your feedback is super helpful to me, so if you do have any suggestions please do let me know.

After another round of playtests, we fixed some more issues and implemented more feedback for players (tutorials, popups, etc.)

This is included in the new update:

New
  • Boss Battle in Berlin has its own environment now
  • Improved Main Menu and added links to all important sites
  • Demo will now start with a mission
Changes
  • Added more cards to the starter deck: Simple Spear 1x, Simple Dagger 2x, Luggage Strap 1x, Comfrey Paste 1x
  • Removed the following cards from starter deck: Improvised Weapon 2x, Small Pouch 1x, Bulbine Bandage 1x
  • Bleed now triggers when it’s stacked on 5 instead on 10 and will do 5 damage
  • Bandit enemies will no longer heal but instead use strength
  • Nature Fanatic heal less and use more boost and slow
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where damage numbers where below zero
  • Fixed caravan tab being still selected when trying to recycle cards leading to a bug
