Thank you so much for your love and support of JLO so far!
This was our first time getting the game out and in front of new eyes -- it's always daunting when people first get something you've created so painstakingly over years. We have received incredible amounts of feedback so far and anticipate a whole bunch more in the coming weeks. Before we get into it: thank you for taking the time to write feedback, contribute bugs and test out the Demo! We're blown away by how passionate you all are.
We are a small team, so it takes a while for us to compile the feedback, but each contribution gives us a clearer understanding on the things that we should focus on for Early Access. In the mean time, we do have a hotfix for some of the easily-patched problems some folks are experiencing in the demo, and so...
We are pushing an update to your JLO Demo!
Here are the fixes from the update:
Resolving a few frustrating bugs in the backend that were impacting performance here and there
Fixing a softlock that occurs in the tutorial if you place multiple power switches
For Gamepads: selecting the shuttle now opens up the shuttle actions tab instead of the manifest
Some rubble was not being cleared properly in upgrade slots, we fixed this!
Adding in spots of missing localization
+ Some audio fixes:
The pause menu music may now be adjusted with the music setting
Some VO without accessibility (subtitles) has been removed
Resolving some newsfeed glitches
There are also problems we're aware of, but are gonna' take more than a hotfix to resolve:
Crew getting caught/stuck in places (Venus Fly Trap of Love?)
The AI confusing prioritizing in certain situations
We're going to work hard to resolve these bugs in time for Early Access, and appreciate your patience as we get to the bottom of them and any others you report.
- Increased blast damage for 20mm and 25mm cannons - Fixed cursor leaving the game window when not using Virtual Joystick - Set victory conditions for Total War mission - Fixed Missions and Multiplayer menus not scaling correctly with different aspect rations than 16:9
Howdy, update 14 is out! I've been learning more about marketing games recently and I don't my original plans of how to make this game a success are going to work out. So this will probably be one of the final updates since I've been working on a new game that I will tell you more about soon. I'm sorry to disappoint anyone who was hoping for a longer development cycle but I have to move on sadly.
Spinning reel rods now work in roguelike mode
Salt water areas are now in the roguelike mode
Added 4 new island shapes to the roguelike mode
Nets and traps work are in the roguelike mode
Added more rod shapes and colors to the roguelike mode
Probably fixed the bug relating to changes in months messing up the events system
Today's update is a huge milestone for us, as after 6 months of development, we feel finally ready to leave Early Access. First of all, we want to thank all our early supporters who provided us with valuable feedback. Without their constant feedback, this would not have been possible.
On an additional note, we want to point out that leaving Early Access does not mean we will halt development. Instead, we are committed to a tight update schedule, releasing updates on a weekly or biweekly basis, with the frequency depending on the complexity of the content.
Prior to this update, we've implemented 10 agents, 3 main and 3 urgency levels, 10 weapons, 15 modules, 4 augmentations, 10 enemies, and 3 bosses. Additionally, we've added the Research Facility, which enables you to unlock all the additional content by completing various assignments.
But now, let's talk about the update that follows with this release. For the past couple of weeks, we've focused immensely on providing additional content for the early-mid game. This includes 8 new augmentations, which are the biggest addition in this update.
We've also built a new level in which you can complete various urgency missions in a desert environment. Your research team has discovered Xenos intrusions in various deserts around the world.
So that's it for this week's update, and once again, we cannot thank our supporters enough, as you've made this transition possible.
At the bottom of this post, you'll find a list with all the changes included in this update. So there is nothing else left to say except: Be careful out there, Agents! You'll hear from us next week when we release our next update.

"Boomer" is a zombie that explodes when touched. π₯ Unlike other zombies, if you PUSH it, it flies far away. Try playing ping-pong with each other, like a ping-pong ball.
[New Level Up System]π
Now, when you level up, characters can purchase individual bonuses in a newly renovated system. Also, each character can purchase special upgrades. For example, when you upgrade KAWAU, its attack will penetrate objects!
[Other Improvements] ποΈ
1) Game background and other graphic resources have been upgraded. 2) Distinction between allies and enemies is clearer. Now, allies are marked in green and enemies in red. 3) Zombie attacks are now more visible in terms of their direction. 4) The animations of the characters have become more diverse. 5) The AI has become stronger π€
Thank you for waiting! Until now, updates have been made only through internal testing to establish a stable development environment. In celebration of the upcoming Steam Next Fest, a lot of new content has been added, so enjoy the new game with your friends! π₯³
We found some unexpected errors in Monday's test play I'm going to upload a new demo package before 19:00 (KST) today, so if you've downloaded the demo in advance, I'd appreciate it if you could re-download it after 19:00 (KST) today.
