Ash of Gods: The Way Prologue - Nessie
Hello, friends!

While the work on the new update is still in progress, we decided to have some fun and share more funny moments related to the development of the game. You really welcomed our previous post and this is the second part — unlike our game, which IS NOT A SEQUEL TO REDEMPTION, as we're never tired of reminding everyone :) There will be lots of silly memes and adorable cats, just as promised in the title.

CATS & MEMES

If you've already played The Way, you know how much Kleta appreciates good beer. That's why our art director decided to give him a special gift in the form of an exclusive T-shirt. 100% Berkanan cotton.


Kleta obviously has never met Dr. Livsay. But we've watched "Treasure Island" carefully, so we're warning you:



Meanwhile, things were happening on the battle arenas. The death of a comrade made one of the warriors so angry that he went berserk.



And in Wodan, an enraged mother has come to the battlefield to find out who bullied her little boy.


Meanwhile, the archer still couldn't calm down...



Of course, we hoped for the best and followed the golden rule...


But Eik got tired of that nonsense and decided to leave with the only person he considered worthy:


And the berserk archer had already managed to inspire other fighters...



It went on for so long that birds started building nests on the visual effects:



Archer wasn't paying attention, though. He was busy working hard to hit Guinness Book of Records as a perfect ''glass canon''.



In the end, Unity gave up and decided to put an end to it by displaying a grim version of the main menu. It was us, of course, who added the guy with the sand. To achieve a more dramatic effect.


The art director wasn't happy about that, so he decided to add some colors to the game... Can you help Finn find his way?


Yes, we are not into cats and memes only, we are also in love with animation. That's why we refer to the girl in charge of QA as Lady Bug, the protagonist from "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir" series.


Since in our region the cartoon is known as "Ladybug and Super Cat," we quickly turned it into "Lady Bug and Super Code." Although our programmers have repeatedly hinted to us that the code is actually с#@p :( Which is probably why they have to resort to unconventional methods to keep everything from falling apart.



Sometimes we had to resolve serious conflicts between characters. Chief Hargell refused to turn to the advisor when he found out that he was spending too much time with the protagonist.


Meanwhile, the protagonist was busy with a very important task — battling a worthy opponent.



Fortunately, no matter what problems we faced, our pets always supported us!


As you can see, we still don't have any dogs, but we do have a parrot enthusiast. We also tried to train MidJourney, and here's what it came up with for the queries 'Ash of Gods', 'Ash of Gods: The Way', and 'Ash of Gods: Redemption':



And we were also thinking about how much emojis say about a person. We made a VERY IMPORTANT research (after all, who needs work?) and gathered the necessary statistics. However, we'll leave the conclusions up to you:

As for us, we're getting back to work on the update. We really wanted to release it in the middle of the month, but most likely it will become available on June, 29th — coinciding with the start of the Summer Sale — as there have been more changes than we initially planned. Well, you know how it goes:



Nonetheless, we are working hard and really want to thank each and every one of you for your invaluable support, for sharing your thoughts and giving feedback. Thanks to you, the game has significantly improved since the beginning of the development — it now has a story and dialogues, mechanics that make the game more enjoyable, and many other small yet significant enhancements.

Thank you for all the love for our Demo so far!
We have a small patch to fix some issues that were brought to light by the community.
These notes reflect build version 0.2.0- 1BAF4A:

  • Fixed: Hats can now be enchanted. Happy Enchanting!
  • Fixed: Description for “Movement Speed Enchantment” in the Sewing Mechana
  • The “Press ‘T’ to teleport” prompt should now remain on-screen longer when entering the tower from the second portal
  • Fixed: Remapping the ‘E’ key is no longer broken. Other remapping issues may remain.
  • Fixed: Edited credits to correct 3D Artist "Claire" to "Claire Tai" in credits! Sorry Claire!
  • Fixed: Hardlock in tutorial island. Player collider can no longer get permanently stuck behind a pillar on first island.
  • Fixed: Researching, building, and other sounds should now be included in the sound settings (SFX slider)
  • Deconstruction of Godsmarble walls was not intended. The ability to do this has been removed.

Community Announcements - Limited Input
v0.5.3.1 - Demo Is Out!

General
- Demo version is complete and available in Steam for anyone. The demo limits the unlockables up to World 3. No other restrictions on the demo version.
- If you are a play tester then I encourage you to try out the demo to help find bugs with the demo. The save file is the same for both versions.

Changes:
- Changed Sanity Timer to start with 300 seconds but only gain 10 seconds per wave cleared
- Reduced all "damage leeched as" by a factor of 10 (i.e. 1% -> 0.1%)
- Improved quick start guide information on first time players.

Bugs:
- Fixed a bug on not being able to discard abilities in the inventory
- Fixed stuttering in the trees
- Fixed a bug where offhand items were being classified for the mainhand
Solar Showdown - BYU Animation
Hello everybody, we're proud to be releasing Solar Showdown and the Solar Showdown OST! Over the last couple months, not only did we do a lot of optimization and bug fixes, but we also created several new maps and a new play mode called Polar Showdown! Grab some friends and controllers and pull up the game to check out the changes and end result of our work!

100% Orange Juice - PhleBuster

Our 2 Million Download festivities continue with the Community Card Pack 4 Art Contest!

We've chosen 6 new card concepts that fit together into a community card pack, and then consulted Orange Juice about fitting concepts for them. Now we're happy to announce the launch of the Community Card Pack 4 Art Contest!

The art contest will be live until July 12, 2023

Like before, art can be submitted for any number of cards and any number of times.

IMPORTANT CHANGE: Submissions must both be posted in the Artwork section of the steam hub with the tag #100OJcommunitypack and the name of the Card they are meant for, AND e-mailed to http://support@fruitbatfactory.com.

The email must include the following:
  • Subject: 100% Orange Juice Community Card Pack Contest
  • Name of the card the entry is meant for.
  • Link to Steam Artwork section entry.
  • Desired name to be credited in-game and on social media in case of a win.
  • Full quality art, plus 2 in-progress versions of the art (or alternatively, a .PSD with several layers to similar effect).

This change is both due to the unreliability of the Artwork section in displaying all the entries, and to allow us to confirm no entry is AI generated.

The winning entries will be used on the cards, and we will work with Orange Juice to provide flavor texts to match the artwork. Finally, the new Community Card Pack will be released as a free update for everyone to play with!

In addition, the winner of each category will receive the Contest Winner and Contributor in-game pins. Please note the theme listed on each card. This should be used as a general direction for the art. Full rules for the contest can be found at the end of the post.

List of Cards
Warp Control (BOOST)
Next time you step on a warp panel, you are allowed to decide which warp panel to teleport to.
Theme: Cook reading the wind.

My Wild Friends (BOOST)
(Max 1). Summon a friendly Wild Unit unit onto the board and heal it to full. The summon will automatically engage enemies and can gain stars on winning, giving half of the stars gained to the summoner.
Theme: Teotoratta playing with wild animals.

Contest of Cuteness (BATTLE)
(Max 1). The battle is decided by whoever has the highest cuteness. The winner steals stars equal to 5x the loser's level. Cuteness = 11 - (HP + ATK-EVD)
Theme: Sham and Saki striking their cute poses in competition with each other.

Rebellion (EVENT)
For 3 chapters, every other player will receive +1 ATK, +1 DEF and +1 EVD when fighting the player currently in first place.
Theme: Free theme related to Flying Red Barrel.

Bank of Poppo (TRAP)
First person to land on this card loses Lvl x 10 stars. The second person to land on this card gains the lost stars.
Theme: Featuring a cash card with a Poppo logo on it.

Nanako's Bit (GIFT)
(Max 1). Randomly receive +1 ATK, DEF or EVD the start of battle while this card is held, and lose 7 stars. This card is discarded upon KO or use.
Theme: Another character using Nanako's Bit for something.

Detailed card descriptions are subject to change.

Contest Rules
  • Create a new piece of artwork ("Entry") that you feel fits the game 100% Orange Juice and the theme of the chosen new Card (see the list above).
  • Submission period: Until July 12 2023, 23:59 PST.
  • Entries must be added to the Artworks section of 100% Orange Juice community hub, with the tag #100OJcommunitypack and name of the Card, and mailed to support@fruitbatfactory.com with the subject "100% Orange Juice Community Card Pack Contest" according to detailed instructions above.
  • Artwork should be square in shape, or made with the consideration that a square area from it will be used in the Card.
  • Entry minimum size is 512x512 pixels.
  • Entries must be original and not contain any copyrighted material and must adhere to Steam Community guidelines. They may not contain purposeful references outside the Orange Juice games.
  • AI generated submissions are not accepted in any category. Such entries will be disqualified, and if
    a winning entry was found to be created using AI afterwards, the placement will be revoked.
  • Multiple Entries are permitted, as well as Entries for several Cards.
  • Text is permitted on the artwork, in the same fashion as it is currently used in some cards.
  • A minimum of one artwork will be chosen for each Card to be used in the game when the Community Card Pack is added.
  • Fruitbat Factory reserves the right to not use any of the Entries for a given Card, if they deem none of the submissions are appropriate for it.
  • Winners will be credited in the Game Info section of the game launcher, as well as on the Card itself, as with existing cards (only after such an update where the Community Card Pack is added to the game).
