Another quick Hotfix here to solve your most reported issues.
Today we've fixed:
Saved Game
Auto-Fix of remaining corrupted save game files not loading - now they do without problems. Do try again.
Fixed issues
Dropdown menu optimization - now opening works smoother and faster.
Fixed remaining instances whereby auto-collecting and visualization of leftover heaps after deconstruction resulted in empty spaces with missing key information.
This relates to build number: 1.3.22354
Remember we also have a "low performance/stability guide" for you:
We'll be constantly optimizing the game in the following updates of which this is the 2nd.
The risk of corrupted saves should be far lower now. Plus autosaves were too frequent in earlier builds. We suggest saving frequently and make backups of the saves from time to time
In fairness, please don't expect miracles - if you have a low-end machine, play at lower resolution and reduce visual effects. Please check the suggested specs below.
Our "Painterly" art style doesn't automatically mean it's "cheaper" performance-wise. There's plenty of detail, lighting and effects that will keep the GPU busy.
The game's complexity also naturally means that the more buildings/people you have, the more power it demands, which is especially visible on fast forward (more calculations in a time frame).
We would also like to remind players of the spec requirements: MINIMUM (1920x1080, Video Settings 'HIGH'): Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 10 x64 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 or AMD equivalent Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD equivalent, 6 GB VRAM DirectX: Version 11 Storage: 30 GB available space
RECOMMENDED (1920x1080, Video Settings 'HIGH'): Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 10 x64 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 8700k or AMD equivalent Memory: 16 GB RAM Graphics: GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD equivalent, 6 GB VRAM DirectX: Version 11 Storage: 30 GB available space

Early Access to the Undercity is here!
On the 15th of June, (16th NZST) It's Only Money will release into Early Access with Chapter Zero: Welcome to Rockhaven.
Testers will be largely familiar with the content here (and should check their email in the coming weeks for their complimentary Founders Pack code), but for those unaware, this early foray introduces your character and their place within a newly governed Rockhaven.
Almost immediately you'll be thrown to the sewers, where the Beggar King and the rest of the Undercity await. Emerge back into the streets and steal to your hearts content - making a tidy profit along the way. Buy businesses to manage, clothes to wear, weapons to wield and homes to customize. With your newly acquired homes, you can move people back to the surface and collectively wage war on the Mayor and his crooked conspirators.
It's Only Money Chapter Zero has full co-operative play with up to 3 other players online, and the first Crookbook competitive game "Prop Hunt" is available for play.
Pickpocket, Pop Australian Spy Balloons, Steal Cars, Buy Clothes, Collect Wild Snails: You're sure to find something surprising in the streets of Rockhaven. Chapter Zero marks the beginning of your journey in Rockhaven, with future chapters coming to expand and enhance the game well into the future. A full blog post detailing our approach to Early Access will go live later today.
In the meantime, check out the latest trailer below, tell you friends and cancel any plans you had this weekend!
I've been working on version 1.8 for almost 3 months now, following the plans laid out in the Starmap, and I've really gotten a *lot* done:
Big Stuff:
✔ SPACE WEAPON / DEFENSE REWRITE The changes here are too many to list, but you can check out the steam guide for all the details. The most important points are as follows:
You can install any weapon in any weapon slot (no more small/medium/large)
Weapons are divided into cannons, beams, and missiles, and each has unique properties.
Shields are great protection against beam weapons, but many cannons pass right through them!
Missiles have long range and high damage, but are stopped by point defense.
Your installed weapons determine your "point defense" stat, which protects from missiles but gets depleted as it's used.
You (and your enemies) can now score *critical hits* which can knock out engines, weapons, sensors, or even kill crew!
There are lots of new kinds of armor and shields too, providing powers, bonuses, or protection against certain types of damage.
✔ SPACE ACTIVATED SKILLS 20 exciting new powers available to your officers, like "emergency warp", "false evidence", and the oft-requested "orbital bombardment".
Also done:
✔ SHIP STAT BALANCE ✔ ARMOR AND SHIELD BALANCE ✔ SUPPLY USAGE BALANCE ✔ NEW POWERS FOR SPACE ENEMIES ✔ OFFICER PAY BY TIME ✔ COMMODITY VALUE/SIZE REMODEL ✔ ACHIEVEMENT RENOVATION ✔ MANAGEABLE SIZE Judging by the speed I've accomplished things, I definitely got this one right.
Not planned but done anyway:
✔ New Spaceship Art! Some of the new ships are featured on the artwork for this update ;) Thanks David!
Not Done Yet:
NEW SPACE MISSION TYPES You don't always have to go down to planets to do cool stuff, and not all space missions need to be "kill that!" or "get that!". I'll expand on space mission types in the final leg of 1.8's development.
Might Do:
ASTEROID BASE PROGRESSION I'm really not sure about this, because it's more of an "away team" thing, and I'm *really* into space right now ;)
Probably Not:
ENHANCED CRAFTING This will happen, but again, it's not "spacey" enough for the current dev cycle. Imagine being able to make whatever kind of special weapon, suit, or shield you want, as long as you have the long list of ingredients, some scrap metal and gadgets, and a few thousand extra data... it's like that. Just not yet.
Definitely not yet, but will still happen:
NEW USER INTERFACE The UI is a big deal. It's how the user interfaces with ("PLAYS") the game (hence the name) (and the importance). I'd prefer to have all new systems in place before I tackle this one, so I know what I need.
Uh oh!
OLD SAVES ARE INCOMPATIBLE! With all these changes, your old saves won't work anymore! This is the first time in almost 3 years this has happened, and I think it will be the last time too, but I wanted to tell you.
I created a Steam branch called "Legacy17" if you can't stand to part with your current game just yet.
Today we start the last round of the Empyrion Galactic Survival v1.10 Experimental Phase with a major focus on bugfixing!
Of course there are also some smaller and bigger additions this time! The new blockshapes for our builders are now implemented and also the Blueprint Parts Collection Tool got its last addition with the "Snap Point" feature. You can find a video about this below.
We also worked intensively on the Drone Bay and fixed many problems. We would like to ask you to try out again whether the errors are fixed and the functions are available as expected. Please destroy any spawned personal drones & remove & replace the drone bay & spawners once again to make sure everything is fresh with the latest bug fixes.
Changed Cut Corner F (left/right): smoothened model visual, fixed coloring/mirror issues.
Blueprint Collection Parts: improved readability of texts
Removed WaterSplash Log
Fixes:
TPV camera does not react with Water Layer.
00972: Player shoulder light is not working anymore -> fixed
Fixed: some missions could not be completed manually (in case of problems)
Fixed: some grammar / spelling fixes (missions)
