Changelog (Beware of possible spoilers below!):

  • Adept's "Reactive Study" was stacking buffs permanently and infinitely - fixed, the game should no longer take long pauses after each action in ground combat. If you saved during combat, you need to finish it for the fix to become active.
  • An event with Abelard and Avrilla Vent could get stuck, blocking further progress - fixed. If you still experience this problem on an older save, go to the captain's quarters and return to the bridge.

Your Objective.

This Open Beta test is an integral part of the development process, allowing us to gather crucial feedback from players as well as testing our network infrastructure.

The main objectives of this Open Beta are two-fold:
  • Test the game’s stability and network performance.
  • Test the game's multiplayer and review player feedback on the balance of the Stormcast Eternals and Orruk Kruleboyz factions, as the overall economy and gameplay balance.
Network Test.

By having a large number of players join the game at once, we can stress test our servers and identify any potential bottlenecks or issues that may arise. This will provide valuable data to help ensure that the game is a smooth and stable experience for all players at launch.

Balance Pass.

During the first Open Beta, you will engage in 1v1 multiplayer battles. We will be monitoring player feedback and gameplay data to identify any imbalances or issues with the currently available playable factions: the Stormcast Eternals and the Orruk Kruleboyz.

It’s important to note that the version of the game you will be playing is still very much in development and therefore we expect you will encounter bugs and network issues. We want to make Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin the smoothest experience at launch.
So, when accessing the Open Beta on July 7-10th, keep playing, provide feedback, and most importantly, have fun!



Open Beta Dates.
  • Open Beta #1 begins July 7th at 11:00am BST (3:00am PT) and ends July 10th at 11:59pm BST (3:59pm PT).
  • Open Beta #2 – more details coming this Summer!

Launch Steam and navigate to the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin store page and follow the link there to download.

Hey everyone!
Thank you so much for playing the game! Since we are in early access, we would love to hear your thoughts about the game. If you have any feedback, suggestions, questions, or just want to chat with us, join our Discord.

Here is the change log:

New features:
  • Changed how interaction works with props - You now need to press E once to take them and E once to put them down
  • You can also now throw those props with LMB
  • All cardboard boxes are now props and can be destroyed
  • Camera shake of all weapons improved
  • Shotgun feel improved
  • Added Discord icon to the main menu
  • HUD will get more glitched out the lower your HP gets
  • Added in-game text tutorial at the start of the game
  • Texts in levels will now show their translation when hovered


Balancing:
  • Decreased accuracy of all enemies
  • Drones now start shooting after they spot the player (not right away after spawning)
  • Shotgun damage increased
  • Made easy difficulty easier and hard difficulty harder
  • Increased headshot damage multiplier

Bugfixes:
  • Improved Chinese localization
  • Brightness setting is now also affecting main menu
  • Indicator device is switching to green when pumps are turned on
  • You can now interact with every interactable actor and also should see their tooltip
  • Anethium tutorial screen now has correct image
  • Rat isn‘t getting stuck on dead enemies
  • Ladder movement improvements - It is now possible to use W to get of ladder when looking away from it
  • Player isn‘t rotating when any key is bound to left or right arrow and pressed
  • You were able to duplicate N1 Great when picking it up

Bugs we are aware of and are trying to fix them:
  • Drones get stuck in wall sometimes
  • Shotgun reload sound is playing infinitely and restart is needed for fix
  • For some people flicking flashlight on and off frequently crashes the game

And what are we planning for the next update?
As we now have a little time between chapter we want to upgrade to Unreal engine 5.1 for better physics engine and we would also like to move game repository from git to subversion for better teamwork. This won't take long but it will help us to work more efficiently. And then we will of course start to work on the second chapter!

First, Techtonica will enter Early Access on July 18th, 2023. In case you missed it, here’s the new trailer that revealed the date.



We also announced that Techtonica will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass.

You might have figured this out already, but we’ll make it official. Since Techtonica is coming to Xbox consoles, Techtonica features gamepad support.



Since day one, we’ve been quietly designing Techtonica to work natively on gamepads. In fact, in the very early days, we made it so the game was only playable with a gamepad in order to force ourselves to really consider intuitive controls. Richard, our Game Director, talked about this on our Discord.

We’re really happy with how it feels, and some team members prefer the gamepad over keyboard and mouse.
