We're so excited to let you all know that Brewmaster: Beer Brewing Simulator is a finalist in the 2023 James Paul GEE Award in the Informal Learning category. People learn in all different ways and for many people games can be a brilliant tool for learning and understanding. This was a key focus for us when making the game, we worked hard to make it authentic and accessible.
Under the hood of Brewmaster is a real simulation of chemistry; so accurate and lifelike that it is possible to take recipes from a book on the subject and replicate them in the game to return the correct result. We wanted to help more people understand and appreciate the amazing world of brewing beer, and maybe inspire them to have a go at brewing themselves, if its something they've not done before. We are also very proud of our Brewpedia which has loads more info on all areas of the craft.

Changed how cooked food is stored in the save files. Existing save files will get converted when they are loaded for the first time. After this point, they will not be compatible with previous game versions.

The maximum object ID for ingredients used in cooked food has been increased from 10,000 to 65,535. In particular, it now supports the 32,768–65,535 range that is reserved for items added by mods.

Fixed translation issues in descriptions for certain weapons and pets.
Procedural generation of new terrain is now spread over multiple frames. This, together with some other performance improvements, should significantly reduce stuttering when exploring new parts of the world.

Creatures like cattle, critters and enemies should no longer escape through fences and other blocking objects.
Fixed an issue where murals that could be opened would sometimes block the player from digging and placing ground blocks around the mural when it shouldn’t.
Fixed an issue with pets being able to damage cattle.
Larvas will no longer die when they walk close to a fence.
Caveling Skirmishers no longer quickly sidestep from side to side if they temporarily lose line of sight to their target.
Fixed the eyes to be glowing red again for some Caveling types where the eyes had turned black.

Fixed a bug where the Sticky Toy pet talent would increase enemies movement speed instead of slowing them down. The amount slowed by the talent and Jr. Orange Slime was also slightly rebalanced.
Fixed an issue where entries could be incorrectly overwritten or duplicated in the previously joined servers drop-down menu.
Fixed a bug where pets would disappear after pausing the game while the pet was running to its owner.
Fixed keys opening UI elements like the map not being disabled while naming pets.

All inhabitants of the Zone – get ready! After completion of technical work, the assortment of merchants will be replenished with even more advanced equipment, and the Northern factions will open the possibility of forming their own subdivisions!
Factions and subfactions
Recruitment into Northern factions can now be targeted to specific categories of players - previously recruitment was either open or closed to all.
Added the ability to create a subdivision in the PDA.
In the future, subdivision mechanics will include multi-stage team battles for various rewards, including possession of bases in the open world. This mechanic has a floating release date. The initial release date is August, however, we may move the release date to reflect the number of tier 2 and higher subdivisions in each faction. The sooner a strong backbone of subdivisions is formed, the sooner we will release the update, or if there is a shortage, the release date can be moved to late August or September.

All melee weapons received a bonus to their movement speed, depending on their rank, group and weapon type.
The bonus works only when the player is holding a melee weapon, a bolt or a weapon that is hidden.

Infestations
Infestation levels and their placement on locations have been changed. There are more infestation-restricted areas in locations where science suits and combo suits are preferable.
Red Forest
The Fool's Path - Red Forest crossing has been rebuilt and expanded:
The psi effect of the RLS has been intensified. It also now has a level 3 radiation background.
Part of the forest to the east now has a level 4 radiation background.
The rift is extended to Fool's Path and covered in Level 4 radiation.
A large south-eastern part of the Redwood Forest is covered with level 2 radiation.
Yanov Outskirts
Conveyor is now emitting level 4 radiation and level 4 psi-exposure.
Many parts of the factory and construction area are now covered in level 4 radiation.
Transitions with level 3 radiation are now ringing with level 4 radiation.
The area in the northern part is now accessible for passage.
The Ear in the south-eastern part is covered in level 2 radiation.
Biological infestation in the southern part of the location has been enhanced to level 3.

Stashes
Stashes placed in the area between the Dump's Belt and the Northern Locations before the start of maintenance will be returned together with their contents to the Personal Storage.
The stashes from Limansk will not be returned to the Personal Storage.

Locations
Backwater
A new location, Backwater, has been added. The backwater is a wild location, which means there is no distribution system and everyone but squad members are hostile to each other. But there are also more rewards for completing events.
To get to this location you need to find the space bubbles. They are located along the northern borders of the Red Forest and the Yanov Outskirts.
Spatial bubbles are scattered at various points in the Backwater. You can use them to leave the location.
All spatial bubbles leading from the location are marked on the map.
