Hi everyone! We are still overwhelmed by the reception of The Talos Principle 2 reveal last month, but this doesn't mean we've been sitting still. We know our community is always interested to see more, so we are happy to show you another trailer we've been cooking behind the scenes.
This time, we are focusing on the gameplay and the puzzles themselves. Let us know what you think about some of the new puzzle mechanics we are showing today, and share your best guess about what others we may have kept hidden for future unveiling.
You can play the Wizard with a Gun DEMO right now!
We're excited to share our game with all of you. In this new survival-adventure title, you'll play as a gun-toting wizard trying to prevent the end of the world.
With the clock ticking down, you'll have just a few minutes to fight enemies, gather resources for upgrading, and, most importantly, find Ancient Gears for the Chronomancer's Wheel before chaos breaks loose.
You've found an Ancient Gear! But will you risk more time extracting loot from the dangerous overworld or return to the safety of the Tower? With the resources you've collected, you can level up your spells, design your space, and craft items to assist your next excursion.
You can even customize your Wizard's clothes, eyes, and accessories! This Demo only includes a fraction of the cosmetics available in the upcoming full release.
The spells and gear you craft will have a big impact on exploration. Each time you leave the safety of the Tower, a new world is generated and with it come different challenges and hazards. Fire Bullets will spread to large groups of enemies, Poison Bullets stack damage over time, and some guns can even hold multiple bullet types at the same time.
We know that many of you are looking forward to playing with friends. 2-player co-op will be available in the full game when we launch later this year!
We’re thrilled to announce that The Declassifier Demo will debut on 19.06 during the Steam Next Fest. It will be available for free, and will include the first part of the game's prologue, in which we'll visit some old friends (some players may already recognize them from our previous game), find a place to crash in at the local dump, and, on our quest for revenge, clear the apartment building of low-level gangsters.
The second part of the prologue, completing it, will debut as a patch in July. It will continue the previously set up revenge plot and introduce the player to the conspiratorial world that is the driving force present in the full version of the game.
To find out more about the game, we encourage you to follow us on Twitter, where all sorts of information the game will be published.
The beta is officially finished! Firstly, we want to thank everyone who participated in the beta over the last two weeks! It was a great ride for us to get all the feedback and learn more about how we can make the game even better. You all have given us some amazing ideas on what to do going forward and what direction we should take in polishing the game. With all that in mind, we will be posting a story in the future on what we have added before and during the beta as well as some more specific things we plan on adding.
The feedback we got indicated we do need to do a good bit more to polish aspects of the game and provide many more quality of life features. The most important to us is performance since we want to expand the kinds of computers we can support. On top of that, we want to expand the kinds of doggo adventures and how you find and interact with them. Lastly, there are many little things like add more effects in the world and improving feel of bonking that we are aiming to add. As a result we will be delaying the release of the game from Q2 to August this year. With that release date change, we also wanted to mention we may run another closed beta again in the future. We will keep you all updated on any signups or betas opportunities we may have. Thanks so much to everyone again for the feedback and helping us make the best game we can! See you all in the next one.
The new cosmetics update that will be released soon, will bring integration of the steam inventory api. Players will be able to purchase cosmetic attachments like horns, wings, and tails, among other items in the future. Players will also be able to trade or sell these items in the steam marketplace. This new monetization model will allow the game to switch to free-to-play. The new free-to-play model will have the advantages of allowing you to easily invite your friends to play with you and will also keep the player count of the game, servers, and instances, higher. Existing purchasers of FOG before the change to free-to-play will receive an in game supporter badge.
