Another hotfix to address some high priority issues:

* Fix memory leaks
* Fix issue with not being able to page through all Workshop items

A larger patch with other less-critical fixes and quality of life improvements will arrive Monday.

The Backroom - Lost and Found - Holmium
Ahoy my fellow Quraffians!

It is my pleasure to announce a mystical no-clip to reality for our lovin' Quraffs --- not in a form of a wooden well burning toy, but rather an adorable pendant.



A limited edition of 10 were made and if you are fast and order one right now, you'll still not be able to get it, because they are not available for sale. Sadly these guys are personal celebratory Quraffs.

It has been a journey of learning with this project for me: Everything from planning to executing to publishing to patching; and everything in between. Currently at 70k players with 88% Positive Ratings is a joyful thing, as most of those people have had the pleasure of meeting Quraffs. Spreading their joy to the world one player at time.

TLDR: Autopilot now uses an angle based on the where the orb is in relation to the cleaner, rather than being forced to be around 42 degrees.

Autopilot is much more flexible now. Before, autopilot would try to apply force at a 42 degree angle unless a "chip shot" was requested (which would add 30 degrees). However, this meant you almost always only had two angles to work with. Now, the angle will be calculated by drawing a line from the players feet to the where the ball enters the swing zone. "Chip shot" will still add 30 degrees, useful when you are close to a wall to avoid trapping the orb under you. This will give you much more control over the orb while still simplifying the gameplay.

Autopilot is the preferred way to play with a controller. However, we are going to explore how we can improve the controller experience when wanting more precise gameplay.

Hello,

We realise that we’ve been quiet for too long and we apologise for not being able to communicate. Now we have a planning horizon, very enthusiastic and ready to share updates with you, and most importantly, from now on we will be doing it regularly.

Your response to our Gamescom trailer, which, by the way, has already reached half a million views, as well as comments on our socials, made it clear how much you want to immerse yourself in the game. Your enthusiasm and belief in Night is Coming has been overwhelming, and it has inspired us to work even harder, and all of this effort is reflected in the game. We tried to achieve the perfect balance between ancient Slavic way of life and exciting gameplay.



The Night is Coming team has grown and now more than 20 people working on the game, who are committed to not only completing development but also to further developing and improving the game after release.

A lot of different and important work has been done. All building models, level design, weather, vegetation, resources, and farm have been reworked. We’ve significantly improved game optimisation and fixed critical bugs. VFX effects and interface have been completely redesigned. We've also reworked the bestiary, and now you can access it in the game, with new illustrations and descriptions of the monsters. We added totems and reworked the spirit tower, spells, and mages. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of the many changes that will be made to the game. Also, we plan to release DLC after the game release, but we will tell you all about it later.

Materials are currently being prepared to detail the updates and improvements, and soon we will show you a video with all the key changes we made during this time.



Night is Coming is already in the pre-release stage, and we are actively testing internally to make sure the gameplay is smooth and balanced. Stay tuned!

Out of Orbit - Out of Orbit Developer
We have a lift off! Out Of Orbit Steam Playtest just launched!

The sole purpose of this build is to test the game. Expect to find many bugs and glitches. The game is not yet balanced. Please report any bugs you find by clicking on report at the main menu. While I solo develop Out Of Orbit, I need player input. Do you have a good idea? Is something not quite right? Or do you have any other feedback? I would love to hear it! Welcome To Spring Chapter



Changes
  • New Chapter: Spring
  • New Skill: Dash: Launch you in the direction you moving horizontally and reset jump count
  • Adjusted Hookshot maximum distance: The maximum distance you can aim to start a Hookshot has been reduced by half.
  • Levels that use the Hookshot have been adjusted accordingly to the new Hookshot range
  • Stomp changed. Now it works as toggle. Click to activate and click to deactivate earlier.
  • Wall Run modified. Now you have more horizontal movement and less vertical movement.
  • Wall Jump have kick in it. Push you toward opposite direction slighly
  • Jumpers have directional push now. Stomp also increase directional power of jumpers
  • Level selection lock image fixed
  • Ledge detection improved

Demo Changes:
  • Demo has been updated and now it have 2 level from spring as well alongside getting other updates.
